Joan Barnett | 1972 comments I read 28 pages of The Last House on Needless Street. I should be able to complete this one today! It's a good book. I've just been tired this week. I got most of my tax filings done at work yesterday! Yay! The exciting life of an accountant!

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments Finished Overnight Guest & Hench, Jumping in the next book and will update sheet later :)

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments @Joan, I hear you! I'm not a CPA but work in bookkeeping (AP/AR/Payroll/Tax Remits, etc) and so relate to this. Month end - bah!! The mental exhaustion is real.

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments One last day tomorrow team! I just added bookmarks to Health 2 and Career 2!

Here are the prompts we need to finish off our second round. I do see some swaps that could be made but figure will wait until end of day tomorrow to see if anyone finishes anything first.

A book with a number in the title
A book with a family gathering
A book with a large family
*A book featuring a hobby you might be interested in

* I'm currently reading Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake and can fill the hobby prompt with baking, I'll for sure be done by tomorrow.

Jen K | 572 comments Okay, I couldn't stop listening to Still Life until I found out who did it. There is a funeral with all the deceased's family so I will put as a family gathering.

Joan Barnett | 1972 comments I completed The Last House on Needless Street. Someone can add it where it needs to go. It was a really good twisty book but man I need something happy to read now!!!!!!!

message 157: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3280 comments I ended up having a relatively light reading day today, and while I read a lot of pages, I don't think either of the books really can be counted toward the challenge.

I read The Bippolo Seed and Other Lost Stories (72 pages) and Good-bye Stacey, Good-bye (167 pages), so hopefully at least one of those can help somehow. Planning to start A Flicker in the Dark tomorrow!

message 158: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments Good Morning Team. We only need a book with a large family now. Joan I couldn't find a place for The Last House on Needless Street either unless it has a large family in there. I also didn't see places for Rachel books either.
I don't think I'll finish When We Believed in Mermaids today. It doesn't have a large family either. We will read today & see what pops up.

message 159: by Sheena (new)

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments Large family was one of our least read prompts - only 3 books in the whole challenge! Since we didn't seem to have anything coming for that I went ahead and swapped Sherri's Woman Talking for Overnight Guest. That finishes off family!

Back to reading now for me! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!!

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments Amazing reading this past week team!

I just added my book and did a little swap and we have now officially completed all resolutions/prompts twice, plus bookmarks!

Go ahead and add any more books to round three if you like just for fun! We'll do a finally tally tomorrow.

Awesome! Way to go team!!

JennH | 564 comments I've entered my last books for the readathon. If I read anymore tonight, it'll be for pages.

Another fun readathon in the books! Well read, team!

Jen K | 572 comments Amazing work! This has been a great team!

I also won't manage to finish any more books but will add in my last pages and hours tonight or in the morning.

Edie | 1148 comments What a great job team. Love that we completed two rounds. My grandchildren have left, so I will add some pages tonight.... but not a large number. Riding herd on two young ones is such fun but oh so tiring!

message 165: by Sherri (new)

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments Wow. We did great. I hate the read-a-thon is over. I had a good time. You all made this easy.

message 166: by Rachel (new)

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3280 comments I always feel like my last day of a readathon ends up being a bit of a write-off -- everything wraps up long before I'm done reading for the day! Lol

I guess it doesn't make much difference since I didn't finish anything more. I read 140 pages of A Flicker in the Dark though, and loving it so far!

Sherri Harris | 1502 comments Good Morning Team Janvier, Our last check in. I will miss reading with everyone. I finished When We Believed in Mermaids. I marked it completed on the plans tab. I didn't move it to the complete tab because there wasn't a column. The last column was titled notes & I didn't want to mess anything up. Also at this point it doesn't matter. I did update my pages read.
We have completed all the Health resolutions for the third time. Once all the pages read are logged in the tracker we may earn one more bookmark which we need to complete Health.
Everyone did great. We read a huge number of good books this week. See you next time.

Sheena Davis (sheenad) | 571 comments 12 643 pages + 140 (Joan) = 12 783
152.1 audio hours
2 Completed Sets of resolutions, plus a third health and some other random fills.

Amazing reading team! Such a fun week. Thanks Sherri for being such and awesome co-captain and to everyone for participating and checking in consistently. Hope to see you all for the next one!!

Joan Barnett | 1972 comments I only read 39 pages yesterday of The Thursday Murder Club. I updated the spreadsheet. It's good so far. I just ended up running around yesterday and when I sat down to read I was too tired!

The read-a-thon was fun with you all!

Sheena and Sherri - thanks for all of your hard work!

One highlight of yesterday was listening to our 9 year old granddaughter read poems from Where the Sidewalk Ends to her brother and grandparents. And I am looking forward to a peaceful day catching up on my to do list.
