Alice | 109 comments I finished Put Out to Pasture Put Out to Pasture (Farm to Table Mysteries, #2) by Amanda Flower by Amanda Flower. It is okay. I like her other series better. I do find it interesting trying to keep the family farm running, but rest of plot and characters do not do much for me.

PattyMacDotComma | 585 comments I just enjoyed The Mystery Writer by one of my favourite authors, Aussie Sulari Gentill. This one has a couple of Aussie characters in the US, caught up in murder, conspiracies and preppers. Good stuff!

I really liked it when I first read it, but I didn't like the sequel; now I wonder if I'd like the book if I were to read it now. I read it when it was newly published during the time I also lived in ON.

PattyMacDotComma | 585 comments I liked Wild Card, the second book in the Detective Zoe Mayer series even more than the first. Aussie author Simon Rowell gives us a good story with a cross-border investigation between Victoria and New South Wales and plenty of secret alliances. Harry is back in harness, still acting to serve and protect Zoe. Good boy!

Alice | 109 comments I finished A Polluted Font A Polluted Font (The Chronicles of Hugh de Singleton, Surgeon #16) by Melvin R. Starr today. It was excellent set in 1377. Lots of discussion of the Poll Tax introduced and the death of Edward III. As usual his glossary is excellent. He does a great job of describing the food of the time. I don't think I could eat it. Start with book one of series.
