Here's my 3.55 rounded to 4 stars review of Witch Way Out

This is a fun, lite, and entertaining paranormal cozy mystery.
Here is my 4.05 rounded to 4 stars review of Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers
by Jesse Q. Sutanto:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
This is an entertaining, heartwarming, lighthearted, and funny cozy mystery with a mature protagonist.
If you're a fan of Leigh Bardugo, then go ahead and pick up
Hell Bent #2 in the Alex Stern eventually-to-be trilogy. It's been a while since I had read a novel that completely gripped me from the beginning. It only took 7 pages for Hell Bent to sink its claws into me.
I've got to look into the Grishaverse now.

This was an entertaining cozy mystery set in Edinburgh, Scotland. I enjoyed learning about the literary tie-ins to Edinburgh. It grabbed my attention with likeable characters and multiple mysteries to be solved.

I just bought the Shadow and Bone trilogy, I haven't seen the show or read any of the books before. Been meaning to get around to reading them for awhile so here's to hoping they don't stay on my TBR for long, ha!
A Company of Laughing Faces is a curious and moving short story by South African Nadine Gordimer, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1991. In this, she captures the mixed feelings of a 17-year-old girl being pushed by her mother into the company of other young people.
5★ My review of A Company of Laughing Faces
Aussie author Kerry Greenwood's popular Phryne Fisher murder mystery series continues with #6, Blood and Circuses, which sees Phryne disguised as a circus trick rider. A lady of many talents! Who knew?
3.5★ My review of Blood and Circuses
Here's my 3.48 rounded to 3 stars review of How I'll Kill You
by Ren DeStefano:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Overall, this was suspenseful, but disconcerting for m, e with memorable characters that kept me turning the pages to see what was going to happen next. However, there were times when the pacing felt uneven and the ending was somewhat predictable.
Here's my 4.05 rounded to 4 stars review of Lone Women
by Victor LaValle:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The author has managed to combine horror, mystery, suspense, historical fiction, and the supernatural in a western set in 1914-1915. Overall, this was a compelling, shocking, unique, and dark story that also had some uplifting moments. I always expect to learn something new from a historical fiction novel, and this one delivered. The writing is vivid and atmospheric.
Here is my 3.86 rounded to 4 stars review of Those Empty Eyes
by Charlie Donlea:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The author has crafted a complex novel of crime and sleuthing with plenty of suspense in his latest standalone novel. Overall, this compelling story grabbed my attention with likeable characters, a harrowing escape, and multiple mysteries. Great characterization, plenty of investigations, some suspenseful moments, and an action-packed ending make this a recommended book.
The Girl in the Ice, by Robert Bryndza, is the first book in his popular Detective Erika Foster series. It's hard to believe it was the author's debut novel. Great read, with six more to follow.
4★ My review of The Girl in the Ice

I'm glad I decided to try it, Tammy. Hope you like it, too. 😊
The Secret Scripture, by Sebastian Barry, is the mysterious story of the most beautiful girl in Sligo, Ireland, who has been in a mental institution for decades and is now 100. No wonder Barry was Ireland's Laureate for Irish Fiction. It's terrific.
5★ My review of A Secret Scripture
I just finished The Soulmate
. It wasn't my favorite by this author, but I still really enjoyed it. 3.5★my Soulmate review
Here is my 3.45 rounded to 3 stars review of Travis

Contemporary romance
Here's my 4.49 rounded to 4 stars review of The Lonely Hearts Book Club
by Lucy Gilmore:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
What a wonderful find! Overall, this was an entertaining, heartwarming, and engaging story of lonely misfits finding each other. It pulls on the emotions and heartstrings at times.
Here is my 3.74 rounded to 4 stars review of Murder in PostScript
by Mary Winters:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Mary Winters has penned the first book in a new historical cozy series featuring Victorian era countess Amelia Amesbury and is set in London, England. With plenty of levels to the plot and several red herrings and twists, the story kept me engaged throughout. It grabbed my attention with likeable characters, a mystery to be solved, and a society that was undergoing changes.
Here is my 4.19 rounded to 4 stars review of Gardening at Longmeadow
by Montagu Don:https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Ah, I remember the heady scent of racing fuel at trackside! Young Lewis Hamilton was bitten early by the Grand Prix bug and grew to be the top Formula One driver and a Sir, no less. Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara shows how a talented black kid made good in a white man's sport.
5★ My review of Lewis Hamilton(Yes, we need more electrics.)
It's hardly worth writing a review of Jane Austen's much-loved Pride and Prejudice, is it? But since I finally read it (for a reading challenge), I will admit it has its charms.
4★ My review of Pride and Prejudice
I’m reading Glass Sword which is the second book after Red Queen. It’s got a bit of romance and has royalty involved. A lot of plot twists which is great. Almost finished it so I’ll have to get the third one :)
I listened to this in January, the traditional month of new beginnings.
How to Change: The Science of Getting from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Katy Milkman
This isn't just a self-help book but one that included studies on behavioral science.

Finlay Donovan Jumps the Gun #3 by Elle Cosimano
My Review -- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A Tidy Ending by Joanna Cannon certainly has some strange, tidy characters as well as a strange, tidy ending. There is a lot of love out there for this one twisty mystery.
3★ My review of A Tidy Ending
Robert Dugoni's latest, Her Deadly Game, is a courtroom drama with a good investigative dilemma at the heart and a most intriguing solution.
3.5~4★ My review of Her Deadly GameIf you're a NetGalley reviewer, it's on NetGalley until 11 April.
One of America's most celebrated black authors, James Baldwin wrote Sonny's Blues in 1957 about Harlem, drugs, music, and two brothers. Another memorable Baldwin story.
5★ My review of Sonny's Blues with a link to the story online
A Good Man Is Hard To Find: Short Story by Flannery O'Connor is a thought-provoking and startling story that has nothing to do with someone seeking romance!
