PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Whoo boy! Endgame: An Insurgency on Wall Street by Sheelah Kolhatkar is a cracker of a short story about the shortcomings of the Big Guys (my term), and how outsiders are challenging them. The author knows her stuff. Available on NetGalley until May 16.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Jussi Adler-Olsen's novel Mercy is also known as The Keeper of Lost Causes. Police prefer to think of them as cold cases, and Danish detective Carl Mørck has been 'promoted' to the basement to reheat them.
Mercy (Department Q, #1) by Jussi Adler-Olsen 4★ My review of Mercy

Rosh ~catching up slowly~ (roshreviews) | 710 comments I don't usually promote reviews for books I didn't enjoy, but as this is an Aussie indie work, maybe some of you would like to have a look at it.
The Outing: A Twisty Suspense Thriller by Fabian Foley
The Outing A Twisty Suspense Thriller by Fabian Foley
It is based on true events taking place in the mid-1980s in Brisbane, where the police persecuted gay men and registered their deaths as suicides. I wish the writing had worked better for me, but the story was compelling. It's not a thriller though - more of a drama.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Not every read can be 5★s. Shattered Dreams by C.V. Chauhan has confirmed for me that I don't need to continue with this series. 2.5★s

Rosh ~catching up slowly~ (roshreviews) | 710 comments I'm back with another Aussie work, but this one is a winner!

Making Friends With Monsters by Sandra L. Rostirolla
Making Friends With Monsters by Sandra L. Rostirolla
A YA novel dealing with several mental health 'monsters'. Goes a bit overboard with the themes, but otherwise, an amazing read.
