I'm also going to be reading Nevil Shute's The Far Country, I love his books so much! And you'll have to let me know about No Highway, I haven't heard of that one.
Have a good reading year, Bob, but with the ones you've picked so far I think that goes without saying! :)

So funny...so true!

So glad you are joining the Bingo Challenge. There is no such thing as too many books.

Consider this a little exercise after all that food! Glad you are playing. I'm already looking forward to getting your views on some of your choices.

Matt wrote: "Nice list Bob. Good luck!"
Thanks Matt, God didn’t bless me with the ability to read fast, so I will take all the luck I can get.

Sara, if the planning wasn’t so much fun, I think I would find a pleasant shade tree to sit and digest my large buffet meal. I too, am looking forward to several of your reviews. Take care and Merry Christmas!

Kathleen, both have been screaming from my bookshelf pick me, pick me for years. This year knock on wood will be the year.

Very nice Bob. I also have Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven on my list. I am trying to read books from 1977 for the buffet challenge. It all looks good. I hope you have fun.

Thanks Lynn, I have been neglecting my science fiction and non-fiction. I need to increase both of those genres. Science fiction was a square, but I squeezed two non-fictions into my challenge. Fingers crossed I’m ready for January 1.

I want to say thanks to all of you who have taken the time to acknowledge my completing my challenge, it means a lot, Thank You All.
Sara wrote: "Look at you!!!! Tell me how you liked Shogun."
Sara, thanks for your encouragement about how good a book Shogun is. I can’t consider it a bucket list book, just one I was aware of and had some curiosity about. Now, it has become a favorite and one I will gladly recommend. It is a marvelous story. One I will never forget. Thank You!!

Cynda wrote: "You did Bob! You did it. Gimpel the Fool sounds like a folktale name. I will see if I can find a copy."
Cynda, I believe you would like the story. I have it in one of my short story anthologies, I checked, and it is readily available on-line. It is short enough that reading it on the computer screen should not be a pain, it is also short and doesn’t take long to read.

Enough time to do another BINGO board Bob! : )"
Matt, I did two bingo cards a few years ago. It was fun, but not something I will try again.

Terris wrote: "Woohoo! Great job, Bob!! :)"
Thanks, Terris. I noticed in an earlier post that you also planned to read Shute’s The Far Country. If you haven’t gotten to it yet, move it up on your list, it is typical of Shute’s books, it’s really really good. You also asked me to let you know about No Highway, get a copy, it is excellent, perhaps slightly better than Far Country.

Annette wrote: "Congratulations, Bob! Not surprisingly, I added a few to my Mt TBR. Which were your favorites?"
Annette, if you listed all 25 from my bingo card, I can’t warn you off any of them. This year has been an exceptional reading year and I have been lucky to read so many great books. The only one that while good that didn’t live up to what I expected based on past reads by the author was Sunset Pass by Zane Grey

Thanks so much for the info, Bob! I will definitely move The Far Country up on the list and ADD No Highway to the list. Can't wait to read more Nevil Shute! Glad they added enjoyment to your Bingo challenge :)
Glad to know No Highway is top notch. I have it on the Kindle, so maybe I will push it up to the next Shute spot.
