It may have been Arthur C Clark or Asminov, I think... Only skimmed the book but now I want to read it. It must of not been too popular because I cant find it.

Multivac, the gigantic computer that controls the entire world and can even predict the probabilities of potential crimes before they happen, suddenly announces that someone is plotting to destroy Multivac.

This might be it! But book is not available anywhere that I can find. It may be combined in his short stories. I will have to research more, but thank you very much!
