Partially, yes! It's on the main level (technically level 2) and tucked back behind the Starbucks area (or it has been in past years). Honestly, I've never gotten a ticket for a signing.
The Front of the Line pass is super easy - you take your golden ticket to the attendant at the line by the table (you'll see them holding up books to advertise which line is for what book/author) and give them your pass. They escort you past everyone else in the line and BAM! you're with your author. Even if people have lined up hours in advance, you are given precedence and can cut to the front of that line.
But, the only catch in that is that if you want to use you FotL pass for a ticketed signing, you must also have a ticket for that signing. If it's a non-ticketed signing, just flash your pass and go!

I got a ticket for him too and he ran out of books with over 20 people in line still. My fellow blogger got one, but it was a waste of our time.
I got one for Gregory Maguire and he was very nice. Also for Jan Brett, because she does the most charming illustrated books and hands out an awesome tote to go with the book.

We did get a book, but it was only a sample. And, they were pre-signed. When we were in line, we were told we could take pictures OF him, but not with him. Well, when it started, they had security guards stepping in front of cameras and telling us to put them away. And, you didn't even get to meet Stan Lee. He sat and talked to someone, so it literally was a fly-by "look" at him, and here's your pre-signed sample."
Yeah, NOT cool.

OMG! I know! I was like WTF? I get you are "Stan Lee" and all, but no need to be such an a-hole. I was just mad at myself for wasting the time in line. Thank goodness I had no other major signing or book I wanted at the time, but I could have been out on the floor chatting with friends and making new discoveries. Experiencing Stan Lee, taught me to be very picky in the future of who I stay in line for.

That sucks about Stan Lee I heard he was kind of an ass.

Yeah Britt...that's putting it lightly...but that was then, and this is now, so forget the past and let's get excited about BEA15 in only 30days! ! Leigh, Marissa and Richelle are all on my list too. I'm hoping for at least 2 of the 3.

I am such a compulsive planner, BEA to me is worse than planning a Disney Trip.

This group has been super helpful since it will be first time at BEA. Lots of great advice!
For those of us without the reader pass - yeah arriving early is the best policy. They start handing them out, first come first serve, at around 7am. A lot of us arrive before that because we also want to have our spot in the line to get into the exhibit hall as close to the front as possible (this is where having friends is a good thing).

Kim Liggett, debut author of BLOOD AND SALT (YA, Putnam/Penguin) will be signing at BEA on Friday:

Rainbow is a ticketed in booth signing from what I hear.

Do we know who the ticketed authors are yet? :/ I don't think I've seen anything yet but I could have missed something!

If you have an avid reader's pass, they'll send out an email sometime in the next couple of weeks telling you it is time to pick your tickets, and you can see the list. Otherwise, once the full autographing list is up, it will say "ticketed author" on it somewhere.

Richelle Mead is my top priority.

She was ticketed last year so I assume the same for this year.

When the schedule on the BEA website has a certain book by an author "attached" to a certain signing (in like the related content or in the signing title), is that the only book you can get signed at that time? Or can you do a diff book instead if you bring it yourself?

During BEA, the author will only sign the book indicated. You are not allowed to bring books from home.
However, you CAN bring books from home to BookCon for an author to sign.

What about yourself?!

Glad you told me about Sara! I mean love her but I wanted ice Like Fire cuts out a conflict for me anyway. Sorry Sara :-(
I really want to meet Marissa Meyer. I just love hte Lunar Chronicles series so much.
Some other authors I'm looking forward to meeting that I haven't before include Richelle Mead, K.A. Tucker, Meredith Wild, Kim Harrison, Kelley Armstrong and Colleen Hoover.

I'm not sure! I really thought she would be signing ILA though because she signed SLA last year. I'm kind of disappointed about that.

Yeah, I hate when they do that. I get they want to increase the reader base for certain books, but it's disappointing to loyal readers who have been there from the beginning. Same thing with Wendy Higgins signing Sweet Evil when her fans want the latest book!

Not necessarily. Two years ago, I attended the children's author breakfast, and out of the four authors in attendance, we only got two books. And there was no signing time for either of them.

Same thing with one of the breakfasts last year - there were 5 people on the panel (including the emcee), only 4 of the books were out and about a third of the people only got 3. If you aren't at a table, you should get there early in case that happens again. And yes, none were signed.
To entertain ourselves until the schedule is updated again, I've uploaded my own spreadsheet to Google Docs:

Not necessarily true, it's based on the author, I have tons of authors sign books that i have bought from home, starting with my first year there and this is my fourth time going. I generally ask the publicist or the author while I'm standing in line and they generally sign really quick, I have had authors ask me to hang back (Heather Graham) and they talked to me while sighing after the official signing was over. I had Brenda Jackson sign while I was on the line and there were like a good 100 people behind and she was amazing about it.

they give them out.

I think that was so silly, if we attended the breakfast they should have those books pre-signed or even have a signing just in the area of the breakfast then let the panelist go and sign later, half the line wouldn't be there if the breakfast people got their books signed during breakfast. UGh

Hey Laura, can I get this again this year??

I agree. It also seems like a waste of books. If I get a copy of your book (unsigned) at the breakfast, but then stand in line to get a signed copy later, I now have two of the same book (and I've taken up a spot in the line which I wouldn't have if I already had a signed copy). Oh well :)

Sure! I'm not 100% sure I'll even be getting it, but if I do, I promise to share. email me: BookcaseLaura@gmail.com so I can add your email to the list. Last year I got it on May 7th.

The tickets are available in the morning beginning at 7 a.m. (or, at least, on a full day it's 7 a.m. I'm guessing maybe 11 a.m. on Wednesday?). The line starts early, so I would suggest getting there between 6 and 6:30 to get your ticket, then just get in line to get in the doors awhile.
If it were me, I'd save your line skip for a non-ticketed author that you really want to see that happens to be scheduled at the same time as another author you really want to see.
