I think it's called the Mandela syndrome or something similar, because so many people thought Mandela had died years ago, they were shocked when he actually did. I remember I was for some reason.
I seem to be the opposite. I'll talk about a celebrity like they're still around and my husband will stop me and say, "you know they died, right?" Then we'll debate and look it up. And he's almost always right! I think I'm just eternally hopeful that my favorite celebrities will live forever. 🥺
