It is an honest to goodness psychological trigger for some people. Be as crass about safe spaces as you like but it doesn’t make common courtesy any less a desirable thing.
It just sounds condescending to me. Like rape being described as “a long and courageous battle with sexual choice.”

I don't see that as ANYTHING near the same...
Oh just wait. They will find the language to soften it. Rape is a trigger word after all. I prefer the efficiency of short hard language, like the trigger warnings before book reviews. I appreciate those as I will usually pass on books with animal violence or rape.

Yeah something was definitely off, she was holding on to people for most of the night to steady herself during interviews and walking the red carpet from what I could see. It's really just so tragic, only 54
