I'm about 2/3 of the way through it and am enjoying it a lot. I haven't read Gaskell before, but it's surprisingly lively and interesting.

Hi Joanna: Thanks for the update. I'm in the Hold queue for it in eBook format from my library. I figured that it was big enough it would be easier to read on my Kindle. Now I want it to arrive even more quickly! I haven't read Gaskell before either. I'm looking forward to it. This is one reason that I so enjoy this group -- I'm pushed to stretch my reading list, and find new treasures.

How did you like this book? I've checked it out of the library, but haven't delved into it yet. It looked like a nice change of pace from the weightier books I've been reading lately.

I liked it a lot. I had never read Gaskell before either, and I'm glad to have remedied that!

It was cute, but I wasn't as over the moon with it as most of the reviews I read. I think I might be a little burned out on romances right now, but I haven't been able to focus on anything heavier recently. Still, I have the sequel on my Kindle to read soon!
