Task 25.2 requires that both books be new to you and that you state that in your post.
Also, a book with a co-author was specifically disallowed in the help thread for option 3, because the book must be about the author's own life. See post 43 in the help thread

You posted Being Caribou: Seven Months on Foot with an Arctic Herd for task 10.8, but you already used that book in your previous post for task 30.4.

Sandie, I really messed that one up. I have another book down for 10.8. Obviously I need more sleep. I will reposed 10.8 with the correct book that I read.
Also, I think maybe the 15 point problem may be with 15.5. I thought I had posted it with The Boy Next Door but my records don't show a post number or running total beside it. Could you please check it for me? I'm sorry to be such a pest about this.

Seriously? I can accept the co-author even though the book is clearly written in 1st person and is Nujood's story through her eyes only; however, the translator is not a valid argument as Anne Frank was also translated and is clearly allowed in the help thread. :) BTW - aren't tasks supposed to reflect major clarifications like this so we don't have to read ENTIRE help threads for the caveats?

Darn it! I thought it was Viking and I was just misreading. I will post something else. Is it ok if I move Juneteenth to another task? I want to use it for a 2-book test that I'm not ready to post yet.

The book is not a problem because there is a translator. As I said above, if you look at the book, there are two authors, plus a translator.
The task itself states "This must be a non-fiction account about the author’s own life."

While it is fine to include more than one task in a post, the tasks must be listed in numerical order, lowest to highest. See the Posting Requirements and post #1 in this thread.
Also, when you repost, please note that task 25.2 requires that both books be new to you and that you state this in your post.

Unfortunately, while the title may have been approved for Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time, the edition you linked to has only 192 pages. The task specifically requires that all books meet a 250 page minimum. (And, it doesn't look as if any edition of this book reaches 250 pages).

All posts, including reposts, must include links to the books read. If you are trying to work from your old post, copying it will not copy links.
To start with the previous post, find the post, click "edit" under the post. Then copy the post while the edit screen is up. That will preserve formatting. You can then paste that into a new post and edit the new post to fix the previous problem.

Task 25.9, option 2, requires that "peace" be found in the title/subtitle. Two Rivers has the word "peace" in the series title, not the title or subtitle. It also appears that the book is only in ebook form, so you will need to get it approved in the ebook thread for use for any task.

Please check your totals - this post only has 90 points, for a total of 475. I think you may have added in the 5 points for 5.10, but since you were only substituting a book in that task, you didn't gain any additional points.

Task 20.9, option 2, requires that you read the last published book in a series, or most recently published.

Task 25.10, option 3, requires that the actress have won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, not just have been nominated. I see Lauren Bacall as a nominee in 1996, but not as a winner in any year. If I am overlooking it, please let me know the year in which she won.

The Rules of the Challenge provide that "5. Books whose main page lists any of these genres: Sequential Art, Comics, Comic Book, or Manga may only be used for 5, 10, and 15 point tasks unless specifically allowed in the task description for a higher point task.
Task 25.4 does not specifically allow these genres, and The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay includes Sequential Art> Comics among its main page genres.

Unfortunately, we go by the genres that are listed on the book's main page. We don't override them, except in the limited case of books tagged as childrens that are not childrens books. Without that exception, many books could only be used for one task in the entire challenge, since erotica and parenting books are unlikely to be on AR Bookfinder. Books tagged as graphic novels and comic books, on the other hand, can be used for at least 30 tasks in the challenge, and generally more.
