Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) I don't remember seeing official judicial closure on the demolition of WTC buildings 1, 2 and 7.

Why is this not an important mass media issue EVERY F*CKING DAY?

message 2: by [deleted user] (new)

What the hell are you talking about Mike? Are you saying that 9/11 needs to be in the news every day? Really? Because they have run out of intelligent things to say that are anything new...now they just dredge up horrible "human interest" stories and tabloid fodder. I'm not saying that it should be forgotten by any means...but neither does it need to be rehashed on a daily basis.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Amy, you are feisty today! It's kinda, well, eXcItInG... (Meds time.)

Morning David dear...sorry, too mouthy too early?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Never too much mouth, my dear. I love watching you dish out a little verbal kung fu.

The Crimson Fucker (tcf123) | -6 comments Verbal Kung Fu.... for some reason that movie Kung Pow comes to mind =P...

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) W.T.F. 1, 2 and 7

"in the can"

"sorted"

"resolved"

do we really think two identical buildings DESIGNED TO TAKE MULTIPLE AIRPLANE HITS would both fail after one hit and fall to dust in 9seconds?

I mean COME ON!

Of course if it turns out the steel WTC1,2,7 were made of was as shitty as the steel in The Titanic then I'll accept that as THE TRUTH. But something OTHER than, "Oh, yes, I'm a government-sponsored fucking engineer and yes it's totally fucking feasible that a few gallons of kerosene can melt 120 stories of steel and leave MOLTEN STEEL in the rubble two weeks later".

no... the perpetrators of 9/11's demolition need routing out like common criminals from hiding.

:)

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

What are you saying then, you think it was some kind of conspiracy? WTF, I'm totally confused!

message 10: by Hertzan (new)

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) *blank look*

sorry, Amy, your question has cored me out.

8^¦

shellyindallas mike- what are your thoughts on noam chomsky's take?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoDqDv...

message 12: by Hertzan (new)

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) Shelly,
I don't care what Mr Chomsky says. Why should I? I just want the truth of why a couple tonnes of aeroplane fuel can bring down TWO tower blocks each 120 stories high.

:)

shellyindallas Then I suggest you read the 9/11 Commission report.

message 14: by Reads with Scotch (last edited Mar 29, 2008 10:58AM) (new)

Reads with Scotch Umm... Are you kidding? Do you have any idea how much kinetic energy is in a flying commercial air craft? I am surprised they stood standing as long as they did.

Some things you may want to look into:
The temp. in which steel softens,
The temp. in which steel melts,
The temp. that jet fuel burns at... Look for air current ratios and fuel to air ratio... Of course I could tell you but then I would be one of "them"

message 15: by sarafem (new)

sarafem Uh, engineers can claim a building can take an aircraft hit all they want, but common sense tells you that when an aircraft is intentionally flown head-on into a building that it is going to knock out a lot of the main support columns. A direct hit will knock all the fireproofing off and cause sagging structuring and floors, plus it's not like someone dropped a match on some freaking cooking oil and walked away. A plane crash causes a MASSIVE EXPLOSION akin to a very large bomb. It didn't have to melt every ounce of steel in the building; it only had to soften enough of the supporting columns; that in combination with the destruction from the plane hit was more than enough to bring it down. Big plane + big tower = massive destruction = duh.

message 16: by Hertzan (new)

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) the WTC was BUILT to sustain a jet hit. I'll accept:

a) this hypothesis was WRONG and the hit-worthiness of WTC was never fully tested = an insurance issue.

b) there were many kilos of Thermite/thermate in each aeroplane that crashed into WTC = internal weakening of the core steel structure.

c) we've all bought the story and NOBODY benefited from the recent invasion of two oil-rich countries via false flag ops.

:)

Reads with Scotch There is more un-taped oil resources in the U.S. then there are active fields in the Middle East. It would be far cheaper to utilize the reserves we have in house then waging a costly war in the Middle East. It just doesn't make sense mike. The truth is (no matter how un-popular) that we are there just for the purpose President Bush say's we are there for. However much he has botched the execution the reason and goals are still honorable. Just my point of view however.

message 18: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) Nick, I agree with you.

message 19: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) Amy, Nick... Mike is a "truther". No point in giving him those things known as "facts" (such as the burning temperature of jet fuel and the melting temperature of steel, or the multiple sientific and engineering reenactments of the collapse of the towers and the other buildings around them)... he is onto the "TRUTH", which is greater than facts.

Reads with Scotch Ahh, I see. Well how does one argue truth verse fact?

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

So, I was right, he's workin some kind of "conspiracy theory"?

Look Brit, we know our President is a moron and an idiot and dumb as all hell. Some of us would even call him "evil" or "murderer" for the invasion of Iraq and/or Pakistan. But, the guy's not worthy of a conspiracy theory. So, just go back to your "was the Queen behind Lady Di's death" theories, okay?

message 22: by Howard (new)

Howard (howardmittelmark) That's always seemed to me the appropriate response to most conspiracy theories. They can't keep anything secret for long. They're just people, and some significant percentage of them are are pretty incompetent, too.

shellyindallas Exactly (Amy, Donald and Howard)!
I remember the first time a conspiracy theorist told me about that video on the interwebs and how our government was behind the WTC and pentagon attacks. I remember saying to him "who are these pyrotechnic dudes that set the demo up and pulled the levers? who are these "regular joes," these "working stiffs" that were like "got a BIG GIG coming up on 9/11...can't talk about it, but some sweet scratch is headed my way real soon"?
I'll be the first to admit I don't trust everything my government tells me, but the more you think about all the factors that would have had to play out--and not just play out but be perfect: zero mistakes--there just isn't enough wind behind this conspiracy to keep it afloat.

message 24: by Jason (new)

Jason (gireesh42) There are plenty of experts who are not convinced the jet fuel alone could have created enough heat in the given situation to melt all the steel in the building to the point of complete collapse, Nick. But putting that aside, how would you explain tower 7 which was never struck and collapsed at near dead fall speed in less than 7 seconds?

The point here isn't to produce any conspiracy theories, but merely to conduct thorough research, which many agree hasn't been completed. I'll be the second to admit that my hatred of Bush and his administration does not give me ample reason to blame them, and I don't really have any intention of blaming anyone, but an explanation surely is in order

Anyone who has done any research into both opinions and finds the official explanation (and their determination to ignore all the unanswered questions) completely satisfactory is operating on a different moral schema than I am.

All that said, this group was completely the wrong forum to raise this issue...I'm surprised you all were as nice as you were...bloody den of wolves...

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) Nine Eleven Schmine Eleven, if you guys don't express HATE about certain 'taboo' topics in this group, then put a fcuking disclaimer listing these subjects at the top of your introduction to the board.

Personally, I hate how 9/11 is in the bag. And by that, I'm not totally satisfied with the official version of the report of how three steel framed buildings can be brought down by a few tons of aluminium and gasoline travelling faster than such an airline should be able to fly at that low altitude. But that's just me.

:)

and that's my sunny disposition shining through.

message 36: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill Ah well...looks like Mike's corpse is pretty well picked over - unless he'd care to rise from the dead and take another what at that hornet's nest. lol.

Here's the rub....Truthers are gonna be voting soon. With that kind of messed up mentality, what kind of self loathing, suicidal loser candidate would they vote for? Buchanon? Kucinich? Carter? ahhhhhhhhh...yes. Carter.

message 38: by Sally (new)

Sally (mrsnolte) | -1 comments Really? A plane can't fly that fast at that altitude? Really? Seems like jet engines do a pretty good job of propelling things forward at hundreds of miles an hour. Does the air get thicker at lower altitudes? Were the planes missiles disguised as airliners? Such strange conspiracies .. .

message 39: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill Sally...it's so sick and so sad. Here's Penn and Teller delivering a righteous and well reasoned bitch slap to the troofers. It's funny as hell. Also...they deliver a warning on the need to snuff this idiocy before it taks root in the national consciousness. It would appear, that we failed to do so, as Mike so amply demonstrates. Here's the link to the video:

oh..spit take warning...do not attempt to consume any liquids while viewing...you have been warned!!!!

message 40: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) :::sigh::: I loves the Penn and Tellers

The Cute Little Brown-haired girl Why can't we just drop an A-bomb on Iraq like we did on Japan and be done with it? Those were the good ol' days. We didn't think or debate about it, we just bombed 'em and lookie what happened? They signed a peace treaty and that was that. And the housing market boomed, people had jobs and America thrived. Get the illegals and expired Visa thing under control and America is back in business. Were we concerned about killing innocents when we bombed Hiroshima?,...uh, no. War got all PC under Bush and it wrecked everything. I say bomb those bastards and bring the troops back home, fine the illegals that stayed living and working here after their Visas expired and have them pay taxes to America. If you did any crimes here whether you were on a Visa or not, you should simply be shot. It is too expensive to send you back to Mexico. Just hire some folks willing to be a firing squad for each county in each state, and let 'em have at it.It would create jobs and reduce the likelihood of illegals committing crimes while here. Problem solved.

message 42: by Charissa (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) I think Not Bill suggested that in another thread somewhere, by saying he wanted to live to see the Middle East turned into a glass parking lot.

The Cute Little Brown-haired girl Clarissa,
A friend of mine recently mention the whole glass parking lot thing to me and I laughed my ass off!! Thank you for making me laugh once again. Seriously, I think it wouldn't be such a bad idea.

And yes, I think public hanging of illegals that commit crime against Americans should be happening. That would make them run for the border...and I'm not talking about Taco Bell either.

message 44: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell I think you've jumped the shark Jill. It's like when Michael Richards started using the N word. Dial it down a notch. Go on Larry King. Check into rehab, for God's sakes.

message 45: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill Thanks Dave. Yes Char...I believe I might have advocated torching portions of the Arab ME into silicon based oblivion. But I've done so based on cold calculation. The Arab ME is now nothing more than a parasitic culture on the world body. One can't even argue that they produce oil. They don't. The Gulf states are entirely dependant on foreign (Western) technical expertise. They are the beneficiaries of pure geopolitical chance, and in return for the obscene wealth they now enjoy, they return nothing. Starving African nations donate more in charitable contributions than the Gulf states. Even more, they don't even help their own. How much do the Gulf states contribute to the Palestianians? Compare that sum to what the EU, UN and USA donate. Spare me the flowery stories of the glorius past of the Caliphate. That was flushed centuries ago. The West, through it's own greed, shortsidedness and enslavement to the false god of multiculturalism has helped birth the Frankenstein that is the Arab ME. At some point, it will be incumbent on us to correct that mistake, if only because we won't be left any choice.

Please...someone demonstrate I've jumped the shark.

message 46: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell I said Jill, not Not Bill.

message 47: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill oh yes, Dave...I know, I just didn't want my sterling logic to be sullied by the previous loose cannon ranting. I was hoping for a juxtaposition thingy. Fact is, I'm still not sure if Jill was just dishin' up e healthy dose of hyperbole.
