I just asked this question because it doesn't seem quite right to me--

Tea is a fresh item,which requires books of 50+ pages. But in order to make tea you have to include water, which is in DDC that requires books of 500+ pages. Does that mean that if you find tea in a 100 pg book you would have to either spell out water or read a 500 page book to find water? Or read a book of 500+ pages to find both? Or if tea and water is in the 50+ page book would that count?

so if you are making "tea" the water can come from any book. If making "water" a drink it needs to come from a 500+ book.

Hm, I see Deanna, me, and NRBC mod have access.
I have no way to create access for others as I didn't create the spreadsheet, just was added to it when I requested access previously, so just request access as you have been doing and the mods will have to approve hopefully soon. I had requested access a while back when first joining, but then forgot about it, so sorry if I didn't send reminders here on the thread.

I was able to change to everyone with link can edit, so you should be able to access now. Let's just hope no one else other than team members try to edit though lol

it autofills if it's fresh, frozen, etc on that one tab but we manually place the books where we want them to go

you have to put in the page numbers for it to autofill. works for me when I do that on books read tab. maybe that's the issue?

I have been doing that for every book. The only autofill I am seeing is that it is counting properly the amount of objects I input

Stephanie, all the Elemental Assassin books have a ton of food related words. I looked at what meals were started and picked words to spread both books over several meals to finish them out. Hope that's OK.

Oh my, I am working on a couple of books...600+ pages each and they have a ton of food words. I'm spending more time writing them down than I am reading lol. I have enough words to make a few meals so I think I will quit tracking as some of them are repeated words UNLESS it's something that I might run short of LOL

I may have enough to do the monthly special once or twice. : )

I haven't been on the computer much this weekend as I've took a break from work and have been doing other things - but have gotten some reading done. Unfortunately one was a book last night started before this particular challenge, but the rest should be coming soon that will work for this one.

I am mainly going to do scavenger hunts also but added a little of a spell it out option for the shorter easy books and some variety. About to start my evening reading again and make a fresh cup of tea.

Unfortunately I return to work tomorrow- eek!! It's been a nice few days off but it speeds by.

I did some rearrangements and put more meals together. Things are looking great my only suggestion right now is to focus on getting a few more items focused on children and teenagers. I'm talking about the quiches and non-alcoholic drinks would be best.

Did you remove all I did yesterday? Spent awhile adding and planning on what I'm working on for mine with my upcoming books this week and had several done that have been removed/replaced.

The words I was spelling out with books added have been deleted, and you have put in new words instead with my books. Looks like all the pasta is gone and all the coffees I had put in have been changed out to another coffees?

I had just finished another book and was going to work on the pasta more today, but will hold now on not adding it anywhere until we can figure this out later. Doing a quick check in with a work break but will check back later.

Yes, I don't mind Stephanie being considered the main spreadsheet go-to since she has done the challenge before and knows what she is doing - that is helpful for us! Thank you for that Stephanie :)

For me personally I'd like to also contribute to the spreadsheet with some planning for my books when I have time as part of the fun of the challenge. Have a few things left to figure out, but I do like the idea of the challenge and it being interactive for us all. I don't like to just read for spreadsheet challenges, but also like to do planning and grouping on the spreadsheet with others. Thought it would be fun to have spell it out options in addition to scavenger for those leftover books.

Not a huge deal, just going forward if we could avoid deleting others work without checking with the team, think it would avoid confusion.

Maybe it is easier if there is a different tab for Spell It oUt, or if we Put Spell it Out at the bottom. Do you play Turn Wars? The spell it out is waay down towards the bottom so it doesn't get as confusing with the other tasks.

It makes it easier to read and keep things together visually at least.

I think with how they have the spreadsheet they have it to autocalculate somehow.

Ugh, I hate when I know I own a book and can't find it when I go to read it. Now I need to see if can borrow a digital book from the library for the series I'm into

You should still be able to move spell it out lower it will still auto-calculate
