I'm looking for a YA book that is historical and science fiction. The book is about nursing and medical students during the Victorian area. The main character is a girl who is the first girl accepted to the medical program although she still has to stay in the dorms with the nursing students. Her love interest is one of the boys in the medical school. I believe the focus of the book were them trying to see if bringing people back to life was possible or shocking them back. At the end of the book it was apparent that they were really trying to see if they could turn people into robots. One of the people they turned into a robot at the end was Queen Victoria and they explained that this is how she was able to live so long.
