Pallavi (bookfetisher) yes... let me try YA. One of my least liked genres. Its always a hit or a miss. Hoping to start tomorrow.

message 8: by Visalakshi (new)

Visalakshi (vishu-potter) | 231 comments I have updated post #1 with your selections and added 2 more for mine.
Now I need to look for books for horror and sci fi in 2002 and 2007.

Hope i will start at least tomorrow.

Hows your read going??

message 12: by Visalakshi (new)

Visalakshi (vishu-potter) | 231 comments Too busy this week. I didn't read past 20 pages. Was working yesterday and today I just worked 12 hrs straight. Too tired to do anything else. I'll try to continue tmrw

message 13: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (bookfetisher) oh that's bad. hope you get more time tomorrow.. take rest

message 14: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (bookfetisher) Hi @V... finally I finished the secret of bees. It's a good book but a bit too much of holy mary for me.
Other than that it was kind of heart warming and touchy story.
A 4.5 star read..

message 15: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (bookfetisher) Planning to start the non fiction next.
Hows your reading going on?

I always wanted to read it. Somehow I associate it with slavery, is it really about it? if not I will bump it on my tbr.

message 17: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (bookfetisher) @Em, no it has the element of racism but it's just touch and go.. It's more about sisterhood among a few women. Lovely story of a motherless child coming in terms with her tragic reality...

message 18: by Visalakshi (new)

Visalakshi (vishu-potter) | 231 comments I'm finally done with my book. I have mixed feeling about it.. maybe because I expected too much and it kind of fell short for me..
My week was very busy! Hope to cover faster this week. I'll start with Book to movie next .

Pallavi (bookfetisher) I too am slow @V
I have a lot going on in life. Work, Relatives visiting, School etc
No worries.. ultimately the goal is to try to read something towards our reading goals.

My reading is going good. Outliers: The Story of Success is good book, very interesting facts.

Visalakshi (vishu-potter) | 231 comments How's it going Pallavi ? Seems we both have got a huge load of life happening this time around :o

I'm about to finish my book to movie. It is an interesting one. Planning to see the movie once I'm done with this.

message 28: by Pallavi (new)

Pallavi (bookfetisher) true... reading is slow.
I started the thriller but it was so boring I dropped it. I need to find another one.
I wandered off the challenge and reading a book which is currently holding my attention. Yet it's slow.
