Review: Virtually no romance mentioned until the 70% mark. Very lackluster suspense where someone followed them in a silver sudan most of the book but nothing happened until 80% on that front. Caleb is a lawyer who, along with his twin Morgan, have been righting the wrongs done by their late father. Towards the end we meet the last man the late Judge Colton sentenced. The judge had been dead for 20 years. This man had been in prison 20 years. This plot thread had been left dangling.

Nadine's case was miraculously solved in the last 5 Pages and very poorly. I say poorly because I have questions about it all. How can a big oil company not have high powered lawyers who could rip apart allegations from a jewelry maker and her early staged dementia inflicted father? Ugh. Not a great read and one I'm not sure I world recommend even though I've enjoyed books by this author before.

I have two more books in this series that I'll try. They are written by different authors which is something Harlequin does a lot.

I have 3 books lined up to read this week and none of their page counts are really very significant. One is at 189, another is 201, and the last is on audio and the first Kindle published is only showing 109 (this can't be right though as the book is 6 hours long which is normally a minimum of 200 pages.)

Anyway what I'm trying to say is I'm hoping the books everyone else is reading will be higher 😆

Romeo is the star and big man on campus at the University, but where he excels in everything else his grades are not great. The Dean and his coach decide he needs a tutor and assign him to Rimmel. Rome looks at the girl with the unruly hair, baggy clothes and overbig glasses and figures she will fall for his charm like everyone else, he couldn't be more wrong. Rimmel sets the tone from the get go, be on time, do your work or she is out of there. Romeo has another focus though and that is to make it into the elite fraternity and when he gets his invitation to rush, he knows he has it in the bag. The only problem though is that one of his challenges for initiation is to sleep with Rimmel. She has no idea she is about to become a pawn in the game, but the more Romeo begins to know about Rimmel the more he is questioning if he wants in the fraternity. Which will he choose?

This was entertaining. A little predictable but I really enjoyed Rimmel and it was entertaining seeing Romeo put in his place.
