Review:
Another bizarre case for Eve, who manages to get to the truth with the help of her team.
The secondary characters are great, especially Peabody who is hilarious and adds an element of comic relief to the story, while Roarke plays the role of "superb manflesh", to quote Trina, to perfection.
Eve has grown a lot as a character throughout the books, but she remains an excellent detective. I look forward to her next case in Indulgence in Death.

But I cannot do anymore. I just can't. I'm littering weeping over this. I just want a passing enough grade to get the credits.

At least you did well on your test congrats.

This one was said to be a Dani book... mostly about Dani like Iced was... It is not. There is only a little told from Dani in this book. The rest is from Mac, Lor, and The Unseelie King, I think there was a couple with Christian also. Though I would have liked more from Dani and (view spoiler)
It was still a very good book and we even get the JZB scene in the beginning of the book which is a plus, had to reread that again! I of course can't get enough Barrons so I am all for more Mac. For some reason Ryodan just rubs me the wrong way for some reason, maybe he will grow on me down the road.
I did like Lor's scenes he is one guy that you want to hate but ultimately can't. He is a party guy and likes to have fun I see that changing in the near future if it goes the way I think it will.
Though I was expecting a bit more of Dani and her sassyness I did enjoy it and can't wait to read more. I hope there will be more Dani in the next book and I hope we don't have to wait as long to read the next book. There are to many unanswered questions.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I should finish my favorites book today. I'm on the last disc.
So are we allowed to add a series to the group bookshelf and then read one for the free space? Or would that be against the rules? I've seen people mentioning adding books to the group shelves in the main discussion thread.
I'm asking because I might read the 1st of a popular mystery series for a different team challenge. And this is series themed group. No big deal if I can't but thought it was worth asking.

You can only add it if its got elements of the above. No straight contemporary or historical series can be added to the group bookshelves.

After iced KMM revamped the additional books to going back to Mac's POV and also nixed the idea of 3 from Dani, 3 from Fever.

I don't know why I thought this would be a fun book, but I was sadly mistaken.
Dark and depressing, this is the world of Edie Spence, nighttime nurse in a supernatural hospital. Her outlook on life is grim, and I can understand why up to a point, but I felt like I could stop listening at any point and not wonder about the resolution of her problems or the ending.
It didn't help that there's barely any romance in the story, and the romance that's there left me mostly unmoved.
All in all, maybe it's bad timing, maybe it's just that this is not my cup of tea, but I don't think I'll continue with the series and the next book, Moonshifted.

We've read two of the four books for our Free Space and three of the four books for our Favorite shelf. You can follow the links to see the lists.
Enjoy your books Mary and Raquel!

*hi five*
I was all about giving series second chances but lately I don't feel like doing that so much anymore... Especially with series like this one, where I don't really care about the heroine and what happens to her.

So Heather Graham is a guilty pleasure author of mine. Her books aren't great literary masterpieces but I love them. I love a good romance/ghost story combo. This wasn't one of my favorites of hers or of this series. But it was entertaining and I joined the Poe aspect. My audiobook version needed better editing. I always wondered if ones with multiple voice actors were recorded in the same room at the same time or not. This one had lots of weird pauses where the 2 voice actors were having a conversation and it kind of felt like they were spliced together. But it wasn't so bad that I couldn't keep listening or enjoy the story.

Ooooo now I can't wait for October! Oh I didn't know she nix the idea for 3 Dani books but I still want more of Dani's POV in the next book along with Mac's. Maybe even some more Lor.
Yay one stamp down! I haven't gotten to my free space, I'll prolly get to it the beginning of next month if that is okay.

Enjoy your books when you get to them. I (and I'm guessing Jenne) am looking forward to our next shelf.

You now have an updated BINGO card with a stamp on 'favorite'.
