I'm sorry I'm not done with my Six Pack book yet but I'm working on it. I hope to finish it on Thursday.
Readers choice gives us four in a row... Woot! Woot! Of course this is always a tough pick, toooooo many choices...Short list:
Shelf 8: Reader's Choice
by Molly HarperFinished 4/11/15
4 stars
I'm a fan of Molly Harper. She writes with such a good humor that her books are always welcomed when looking for something fast and funny to read.
This time Jane, the newly turned vampire, has boyfriend troubles, opens a new bookstore for undead and gets a mean stalker who is after Gabriel, her sire.
She handles all her problems with good humor and with a help from her undead and alive friends.
Reading Jane Jameson series is really good entertainment like meeting with old friends.
Book: The Shadows by J.R. Ward
Shelf: Reader's choice

Review: I love reading about BDB but I didn't love this book. I didn't have a problem with (view spoiler) as many readers had, maybe because I didn't really care about the main couple, Trez and Selena. I enjoyed reading about iAm, although his love-story was a bit of a let down, I'd have liked something better. I also enjoy reading about Layla and I'd have liked a bit more development in the Layla-Xcore front.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Yay Elizabeth! I'm almost done with The Shadows too and Selena and Trez didn't light it up as much as I hoped... I think the Chosen as heroines are just too soft...
Finished - Shelf 8
Book: Mate Bond by Jennifer Ashley
Date Read: 4/13/2015
Shelf: Reader's Choice
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review: This is the 7th book in the Shifters Unbound series and follows Alpha Bowman and his mate Kenzie in the NC shiftertown. They and their shifters are forced to battle unknown creatures that stinks of fae involvement. At home, Kenz and Bowman also struggle with deep love they have as mates without receiving the blessing of the mate bond and the fear that one day their true mates will appear and tear them apart. Good story, enjoyed the happenings of another shiftertown outside of Austin but getting a glimpse of a few loved characters from the series. Really enjoyed the alphas son Ryan and his young teen wisdom and Kenzie's family.
Lis wrote: "Almost shelf time.... Come on Mr R give us "Leather or Lace""What are we going to read if that's the shelf? Have you picked something already?
That's a tough one, but I have a new audio on my phone ready to go...
A few others on my next shelf:
You almost need a kick butt heroine book to find leather: Jaz Parks, Jane Yellowrock, Night Huntress, Chicagoland Vampires...
Georgina is great!I'll probably go for the next in Jane Yellowrock series, I'm in book#6 and I've got the audio.
What I would really like to read right now is
, though.
Shelf #9 ~ 15 Apr 2015: Creature FeatureRead a book that features more than one type of paranormal within the story
Shelf 9: Creature Feature

Georgina Kincaid is one of my very favorite UF characters and she didn't disappoint me in the fifth book also.
There is nothing easy being a succubus in Seattle. Georgina has to deal with her ex boyfriend Seth getting married, another succubus on her territory, her nephilim roommate Roman and weird siren song luring her into the dream world.
Like always there is some otherwordly troubles for Georgina but mostly she is occupied with sorting out her feelings for mortal writer Seth. The impossible relationship takes many new turns once again and leaves the options open for the last book in series to bring the lovers finally together. At least I hope that it will do so. Can't wait to read the conclusion to Georgina's story.
Yay Skandia! I think that was the hardest book for me to read in the series... I felt so bad for Georgina in that one.
One of the foreign versions has leather coat for Georgina's final book... Come on leather and lace...
Finished - Shelf 9
Book: Dark Heir by Faith Hunter
Date Read: 4/21/2015
Shelf: Creature Feature
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: This is the 9th book in the Jane Yellowrock series and Jane is facing one the biggest baddest vamps yet, aka SOD or "son of darkness". Leo has been keeping the SOD hidden in one of the lower levels of fang head HQ, chained and imprisoned. Vampire politics and deceit lead to his escape and terrorization of New Orleans. Jane and her team and allies are really challenged in this one, and stretched to their limits and beyond. Loved this one, the growth of Jane's relationship with Eli and Alex is heartwarming. (view spoiler) Her inner dialog with "beast" is still one of my favorite parts of the series. The relationship between besties is strained as Molly is still working on her magic. Definitely recommend this series to anyone who likes UF with strong alpha female characters.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
I have heard nothing but good reviews for Jane Yellowrock series. One more series to start for me and there already are so many ....
Lis wrote: "Also, the Jane Yellowrock series is very good in audiobook if like to listen too."I second that! Great narration!
Thx Elizabeth for posting... This is a hard one! 99% of my books seem to be all gal... I'm hoping Ilona Andrews books count, then I'll have two options. I still haven't gotten far enough into the Dresden series for Harry to make me read more about him...
Difficult shelf. I like Harry Dresden but I don't want to read a 400 page book right now and there is not much PN written by male authors.I'll go with romance book this time. I'll read
by Emma Chase. Main character and narrator is a man.
I'm going to change my book for Man's World.I'm reading
by Neil GaimanThe Kindle version is over 200 pages and was ok'd by Sandra.
Should have Reader's choice and Creature Feature done tomorrow before getting started on Man's World
Finished
Book: And With Madness Comes the Light by Karina Halle
Date Read: 4/23/2015
Shelf: Man's World (All from Dex's POV)
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review: I devoured this book and couldn't put it down... This falls between the 6th and 7th books in the Experiment in Terror series and does not disappoint. Without giving too much spoilery away, this takes place right after Perry left Dex and Seattle and Dex confronts his soon to be ex Jenn (aka "twatwaffling she-devil"). Dex is all male including crude perverse thoughts, he is an extremely sensitive soul and loves Perry dearly. It is a pleasant switch of POV without Perry's low self esteem and over weight perspective and Dex's she's all smoking and curvy and wanted. After weeks of self destructive behavior, and finally getting his act together, it answers the question of why he didn't immediately chase after Perry. But with Ada's help he does make it to save the day against the demon and his love. Now I have to catch up on the Dex files to see what else I missed.

This was my first book by Neil Gaiman and I have very mixed feelings about it.
At first I thought I'm going to love it. In the beginning it was well written and interesting mix of real world and magical realism. Just the way I like it. Then the story got darker. I was ok with it, too. Then the story got just weird and paranoid. Monsters and hunger birds. I could not understand if I was reading a fantasy story or author's hallucinations under an influence of some bad substance. Honestly, it all went too dark and confusing for my taste at the end.
I think I will be very hesitant to pick up next book by Neil Gaiman.
Book: Vision in Silver by Anne Bishop
Shelf: Creature
Finished: 4/24/2015
Rating: ★★★★
Review: I enjoyed this third installment but less than the previous two, probably because there were less Meg time and POV and too many stories, some of them a bit tiring to follow. I loved the Meg-Simon development. The tension is building among humans and Others and the wait for book #4 is too long!
Book: Hell & High Water by Charlie Cochet
Shelf: Man's world
Finished: 4/25/2015
Rating: ★★★
Review: I enjoyed listening to this one although the MCs voices weren't always distinguisable. Lots of action, many secondary characters I'd love the read more about, not enough romance and a rather weak mystery. I'm going to continue this series to see how the other pairs' romance will develop.
Passion Unleashed by Larissa Ione
Shelf: Six-pack attack
Finished: 4/29/2015
Rating: ★★★1/2
Third book in Demonica series featuring the third Seminus demon brother Wraith - half demon, half vampire.
For some reason this book took me forever to finish.
I can't exactly put my finger on the reason why, because I like the world Larissa Ione has created with this series and so far the books have been long but fast paced. This one dragged. Maybe because I didn't totally bought Wright changing into love sick, protective, considerate sweet guy or maybe I got bored with abundance of sex scenes that threw off the balance between erotica and adventure story. IDK, if I want to read erotica, I read some romance but I like my PNR more focused on the worldbuilding and storyline progressing.
