Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments If leather or lace is called and you need ideas, a lot of SOS members contributed to the following group Bookshelf:

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) | 2441 comments I loved Burn for me, it might turn out to be my favorite series by them...

So now (of course) I had to go and pick a book(s) for the shelves to have them ready to start...

Leather or Lace:
Daring (Pax Arcana, #2) by Elliott James Destined for an Early Grave (Night Huntress, #4) by Jeaniene Frost Mirrored by Alex Flinn Unwept (The Nightbirds, #1) by Tracy Hickman Lockstep by Karl Schroeder Blades of the Old Empire by Anna Kashina Cold Blooded (Jessica McClain, #3) by Amanda Carlson A Study in Silks (The Baskerville Affair, #1) by Emma Jane Holloway
Act of Mercy (PSI Ops, #1) by Mandy M. Roth Angelbound (Angelbound, #1) by Christina Bauer RecruitZ (Afterworld, #1) by Karice Bolton Chaos Born (Chronicles from the Applecross #1) by Rebekah Turner Blood and Snow Volumes 1-4 Blood and Snow, Revenant in Training, The Vampire Christopher, Blood Soaked Promises by RaShelle Workman Blood Wager (Blood Destiny, #1) by Connie Suttle

As for sci-fi almost my whole tbr fits that criteria lol (At least if I understood the description of the shelf correctly. It says that "any sci-fi sub-genre allowed ~ fantasy, sci-fi romance, alternate history, horror, cyberpunk, steampunk, time travel, military science fiction, apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic fiction, etc" Right?

message 305: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1199 comments I just saw that Sci-Fi includes sub-genres. Score!!

This is what I have it narrowed it down...

New 2 You Series: Storm Warrior (Grim, #1) by Dani Harper or Hunting Season (The Gathering #1) by Shelly Laurenston

Leather or Lace: Up From the Grave (Night Huntress #7) by Jeaniene Frost Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet (Charley Davidson, #4) by Darynda Jones Archangel's Legion (Guild Hunter, #6) by Nalini Singh Blood Cross (Jane Yellowrock, #2) by Faith Hunter -I want to read this one the most but it's also the longest (Audio) :(

Sci-Fi: Angelfall (Penryn & the End of Days, #1) by Susan Ee - this is a re-read but I have a BR for the 3rd book on Tuesday and I want to try and squeeze in re-reads of the first 2.

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments That's the way I read it Dragana. Steph said in the discussion thread she wanted to make it easy on readers with SF & Fantasy shelves. We all benefit!

message 307: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1199 comments Bummer!

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments Sadly, the shelf call was for witches. So now it's between Teams 4 & 9.

Daffodil (daffodil--ripcranberry) | 2098 comments I just realized Midnight's Kiss (Elder Races, #8) by Thea Harrison came out yesterday, along with a couple other books. So maybe a trip to the bookstore is in order, since I don't have to dedicate my evening to reading. ... Or, I could be good and finish making my Mother's Day cards instead of waiting until the last minute to complete them. Hmmmm, decisions, decisions.

message 311: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1199 comments Bookstore! You still have a couple of days for Mother's Day :) I know how to prioritize, lol.

message 312: by Nichole (new)

Nichole | 1199 comments Well, it was great playing with you Ladies! And now I have even more shelves to browse through with all of yours :) I'm sure we'll be crossing paths again.

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) | 2441 comments Damn, that randomizer really didn't like us this time. But I had fun. Thank you for all the great recs. I know Dragon Actually didn't work out for me, but I am going to give the rest of them a try. I know my new favorite author is in there somewhere.

Good luck, happy reading and who knows, maybe we will see each other on some other challenge. ;)
