Review
I haven't read anything by this author in the last two years and for the past 3 days I read 2 new to me books by them. While I like the first this one felt more the same as the last book. I was kind of bored. There was excess amount of imitate scenes and I just become de interested mid way through. Overall, It was an okay read.

Review: A fun historical, cozy mystery. Lady Katherine is a matchmaker that spends most of her time investigating murder. And she always gets her murderer, usually with little effort. 🙂 The series is cute, sometimes silly. But I do enjoy it.

Review: There are things that are still driving me crazy about this series. Mostly the person Tate was in her past is SO VASTLY different then who she is now. In the here and now she's kind of a pushover. It also really bothers me that no one tells her anything (cough RYU) and then she runs off rashly and ends up in trouble over and over again. Still I LOVE the secondary characters and I enjoyed the mystery in this one. I will definitely finish this series but I liked her Broken Lands series more.

Bonus Point: One point can be earned for reading a book with >500 pages.

Review:

I loved this book the ahthor kept the action moving from one scene to the other. There were also multiple storylines and this what made the story so enjoyable because the tension just builds and you as the reader what to know what will happen next. Throughout the book we get an insight into the P.I and her fiance as well as some of their families.

Review: Overall, this third Matti Baker installment was just confusing. I didn't understand a lot of it. Some parts went too fast (similar to what I've experienced with the prior two books as well). Things jumped around a lot, and the "truth" was even more convoluted.

Celia Buell (semi hiatus) (celiareadsbooks) I'm trying to justify buying Counterintelligence by Michele Packard to complete the three books in a series one (works for this round book #4 and I used the last 2 for spot 23 and 38). I've felt kind of meh about this series so idk but it's 4.99 on Amazon. Thoughts? I guess I could borrow buy it since I will finish it within the week.

I take it you don't have KU - it's loanable so if you can find someone that owns it they can lend it to you. I looked to see if I borrowed from KU if I could lend it but it won't let you do that.

Yeah I've been reluctant to use KU because I don't want another Amazon subscription, they're getting enough money from me already. I'll figure it out. I could potentially borrow-buy it and return it within the week, but more than likely I'll just read something else and maybe get to it for another #4 if we get another one.

As a teacher, I'm not sure if I can use it in my future classroom without a lot of discussion, and I don't think it would necessarily be appropriate for the grade level I want to teach.

This was a quick one. What can I say? I liked these types of books ten years ago. In 2022, it is alright. I felt no connection in the relationship, and they had many serious events and everything is glossed over because they were mates and in love.

Review: I enjoyed this book but it wasn't what I was expecting. The story had a lot more of a non-magical mystery they were trying to solve and the shaman stuff took a backseat. I liked the MC's but not as much as others in this series and although we got a tiny bit of the DC gang not much. It left some open issues so I imagine this isn't the last we will see of these guys.
