appearance  Bram has blonde hair and blue eyes. He stands at a height of 5'10, making him one of the taller satyrs around camp. His defining characteristics are his perpetually crossed arms and dissatisfied frown.

personality  Bram isn't the usual satyr. While his kind is known for being polite and mild-mannered, Bram doesn't take anything lying down. He's brash and argumentative and isn't afraid to question orders, no matter who they're coming from. He's constantly getting into bickering spats with Dionysus; it's a wonder he hasn't been turned into a grape yet. Being so awful at poker has probably saved him on more than one instance.

But there are some traits Bram shares with his fellow satyrs. He cares deeply about the environment and is loyal to the campers he protects. It's just that instead of calmly telling someone not to litter, he'll chew them out and make them clean the beach for a week.

history  Bram has always wanted to explore the world. Unfortunately for him, he's a satyr, and so instead of exploring the world freely, he's been forced to guide kids to camp. Over and over and over, for years he's had to transport these kids with all the same questions across the United States and, frankly, he's sick of public transportation.

He's been at his happiest when he gets to take detours, stopping at national monuments and tourist sites. If it were up to him, he'd make every trip have a hundred detours, but then he'd probably lose permission to leave camp at all, something he's dangerously close. Although, it's up for debate whether Dionysus and Chiron would be able to put up with his whining day in and day out if that were to happen.

Bear has been a living breathing walking talking teddy bear since the day he was born. a gift of sorts from his parents, demigods that swore Aphrodite herself had blessed their union. Bear agrees, after growing up with them. his father is a son of Demeter, and his mother a daughter of Hypnos. it gave him a natural set of various interests, finding peace both in a bed and also a patch of grass. his parents refer to him as their hibernating teddy bear cub, and they will likely never stop.

unlike most campers, Bear has been attending this camp his entire life. more or less. his parents met here, and both really enjoyed their time here. they also knew first hand how useful it would be for Bear to attend and learn not only about his heritage, but fighting skills and anything else that might be useful in the real world. he's been attending since he was about four years old, and although he returns back home every fall, he considers the camp to be another home to him.

although kind, Bear prefers to keep a smaller circle and is a bit on the quieter side. like his father, he loves to be outside and growing plants. he's actually attending university this fall for landscape architecture, though he might just switch to business. he heard they have more free time, and that means more naps. he wants to design gardens for people, kind of like the cool ones you see on HGTV. he used to watch that channel with his parents, each of them spending half the time asleep and the other half insanely invested.

Bear is rather hard to miss, standing at six foot two with a slender build. he takes more after his mother, with a shock of brown hair and pale blue eyes. his ivory skin burns after excessive sun although he often tries his best to keep up with sunscreen. he even applies a spf lip balm before heading outside for the day! you can often find him enjoying nature or helping younger campers, whether that be by helping them find their footing in camp or teaching them something related to plants or sleep. or, on a great day, he is ministering a group nap session out in the forest - don't knock it 'til you try it.

  POWERS
  SLUMBERING VINES. the ability to create and control vines that can induce sleep upon contact. these vines can be used to entangle or to create safe, restful spaces.
  SERENITY FIELD. the ability to create an area where plants and vegetation promote a state of calm and relaxation, making it difficult for others to stay alert and focused. this could be used in tense situations or to create a safe haven.
  CHLOROKINESIS. the ability to manipulate and control plant life with a mere thought, he can encourage growth, shape foliage, and even influence the behavior of plants.
  HYPNOKINESIS. the ability to manipulate sleep patterns, and by extension, dreams. he can induce someone to fall asleep (and keep them asleep) or force them to wake up, and he can have an influence on the kinds of dreams that they have.

CLEO is always alone but never lonely, for she has her potions, amulets, and elixirs to keep her company. She likes to work the most at night under the stars and the light of the moon when her powers are the most potent. Plus, she actually enjoys the solitude - raised in a house teeming with never-ending extended family, she'd never had the chance to hear her own voice until now.

That is what Isis, goddess of fertility, liked the most about Cleo's father - his loyal attachment to his family. After he passed, she was taken in by her uncle Hassan and his many children. Cleo found it suffocating, and ever since then she yearned for independence. Though her journey to camp (chased relentlessly by bau) was harrowing and dangerous she was grateful for it.

Once you get to know her you realize that she's actually quite talkative although soft-spoken, a little strange, adventurous, and quick witted. Cleo is an avid enjoyer of mythology and is well versed in Greek Egyptian and Norse tales alike (her favorite figure is Circe, she feels a strange kinship with the witch of Aeaea). She loves a good game of solitaire, dipping her toes in the lake, and traipsing in the wood on the search for the herbs she needs to do her magic.

i. magic & spells ⎯ proficiency in spells and rituals, especially those related to protection, healing, and transformation. some spells require talismans, potions with crushed herbs and tedious laborious work, but other spells can be performed with only a word.
ii. minor shapeshifting ⎯ the ability to change form, as Isis was known to transform herself to achieve her goals. this is only for a limited time and requires intense focus.
iii. healing ⎯ the ability to heal others and themselves from injuries and illnesses.
iv. amulet creation ⎯ amulet are made by infusing an object with intent. this is done through anointing it with potions made from symbolic elements. cleo is able to bestow her magic into these charms and distribute them, giving the wearer the benefits of the spell.

〖 Appearance 〗

Cleo has choppy brown hair that’s cut roughly to her chin and is prone to frizzing around the edges, never quite laying flat. She has pale skin prone to sunburn and freckling, with a few faint scars littering it. Her eyes are slightly wide set and a dull hazel color, like the color of a polluted river and she has short stubby eyelashes. Her lips are often chapped thanks to her bad habit of picking at them. She’s shorter than usual, but is quick on her feet and fairly well built

〖 Personality 〗

Cleo is most similar to a cactus, standoffish and prickly to those showing any real interest it growing close with her, and is quite a private person. That’s not to say she’s antisocial, she often enjoys picking fights with people who allow her to get under their skin, choosing people who interest her to irritate in different ways. It’s only when people try to approach her with genuineness and softness does she truly shut down, resorting to one word responses until she can find an angle to drive them away.

〖 History 〗

Cleo’s father was not the best and she’d always had a taut relationship with him. She was often in and out of the house, having the time of her life in the “good” periods, and just doing her best to pick up the pieces in the bad ones. When she was around 10, she also started communicating with her mother in dreams, and learned bits and pieces about the world and the gods. After a particularly bad night with her father Cleo left for good, staking out on her own. She was close to 13 and struggled on her own for a few months before she was discovered and taken to camp. Despite the help she received she’s never felt much fondness for camp and has always felt out of place. She’s never gotten super close with anyone, and feels that no one quite trusts her, a feeling returned in equal measure.

Weapon: A small celestial bronze knife with floral engravings on the hilt that when sheathed, turns into a bronze rose.

Appearance: Willow is quite tall for her age, around 5' 9", and hides what little muscle she has. She has tanned skin and a soft, oval face shape, with a sprinkle of light freckles. She has dusty pale red eyes, near the color of mountain roses. Her hair is wavy, thick, and brown and is cut in fluffy-looking layers just above her shoulders, with red highlights in it, giving it a bronze look in sunlight. She usually wears light, flowy clothes for best movement, wears a red ribbon to keep her hair out of her face, and has a small pouch with rose seeds in it always strapped around her arm. She has a tattoo on the back of her left hand, a squiggly line to the untrained eye, but for those who read music, it is a rest for silence.

Personality: INFP ((Introverted iNtuitive Feeling Perceiving)) Willow seems very closed off when you first meet her, sometimes borderline hostile. She is a bit awkward between not knowing someone and knowing someone, but once you get past that, she actually is much easier to be around than most people these days. She very easily understands people, and although she'd never admit it, she enjoys having company with people close to her, and is extremely loyal.

History: Willow grew up in a small town in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas where she was raised by her grandmother after losing both parents to a monster when she was just five. Her grandmother, a stoic demigod of Athena, hardened by years of loss herself, saved her and raised Willow to prioritize strength and self-sufficiency over vulnerability. Consequently, Willow developed an outer shell that seemed impenetrable to those around her, a defensive layer formed from watching love and hope turning into pain. She was spotted by a wandering wind nymph who notified the camp that she was a demigod. She was taken to CHB when she was seven by a satyr who found her trying to wake up her grandmother, who had passed.

Abilities: Willow can silence anyone she can hear, although not for very long, as it uses a lot of her energy, and she doesn't like to use her powers very often, so she never practices. She can also use rose plants to do her bidding, but this saps her energy so fast that it almost isn't worth it, but just in case, she carries around a small pouch of rose seeds.

Shouting things like how she's the reason her mom (Hecate) never came back to him, how she's the reason he started drinking, ect. (Y'all I created this off of my own trauma XDD)

(view spoiler)[Nalani was born on july nineteenth. Her mother had two children from a previous marriage and was a single mom. Iolana’s father moved in to help take care of the children. He was a kind, loving man. This happened when Nalani was four. She was also enrolled in surfing lessons and her mother became an elementary school teacher. Iolana had had the degree for a while, but had to quit her job after the birth of her first child. Nalani was close with her mother and grandfather. She even had a good relationship with her half brothers.

Her was shattered when she was eight. Her brother Keoni was sixteen and her brother Manoa was fifteen, Keoni in the 11th grade and Manoa in the 10th grade. Her mother was killed by a car accident, which also killed her grandfather. Nalani was heartbroken. She and her father were placed in foster care. This was only temporary. When she was nine her brother Keoni was out of school. Keoni brought a three bedroom apartment and that was where she and her half-brothers lived. A bit after she turned ten, she was taken to Camp Half-blood by one of her friends from school named River. She stayed at camp, occasionally visiting her brothers during the school year time. Appearance Description

Sunni is twenty-two but her fragile, pale appearance makes her look closer to a teenager. A sickly one at that, too, sometimes. Her blonde hair is thin and usually tied in a messy bun at the nape of her neck, out of the way. She has high cheekbones and she’s always smiling, ice-blue eyes like a clear blue lake rather than the ice that would be associated with her mother. She’s on the taller side, but usually has poor posture and therefore seems shorter than she is. Her attire usually consists of oversized sweaters, jeans, sweatpants, and loose-fitting clothing in general.

Personality Description

Sunnieve is a very kind and gentle person, social to an extent but also keeping to herself. She, although the daughter of the goddess of snow, is like a warm ray of sunshine on a cold, clear winter day. Sunni is always smiling and always willing to listen if anyone needs her, tending to reach out frequently to her friends and over-worry about them. She is very sensitive and her feelings can be hurt rather easily, and sometimes her boundary-setting is not as proficient as it should be.

History

Kaleer Wynn first met the goddess Khione three years after he married his wife. His ice drilling business had steadily been turning him into a very busy and wealthy man, and he had wanted to visit Antarctica to see his drills at work. Khione had been a distant figure at the edge of a blizzard, an ethereal woman shrouded in ice and snow. From first glance, he knew that he had to have her.

Years later, when his wealth and success had made him arrogant and distant with the wife that loved him, he brought home his first child. Sunnieve, the child he had formed with a god. His wife, Rebecca, was kind and gentle, choosing to love the baby like the daughter she could never have. Four years after the birth of his first demigod daughter, Kaleer returned from another trip to the Arctic with his second daughter of the snow, Estrella.

Kaleer remained absent from the lives of his daughters, choosing instead to immerse himself in his work and his ice. Sunnieve and Estrella were raised very well, with love and compassion, by Kaleer’s wife. While not their birth mother, Rebecca treated them no different than a birth mother would, her love unconditional. Only true love can thaw a frozen heart, and that it did.

When Sunni was ten, that love translated to helping soothe her new outbursts of frost and snow. It scared her, the powers, as she only then found out about her biological mother, who was also Estrella’s mother. The frost was hard to control, but with Rebecca’s gentle understanding, she grew to accept and control it. She’d begun wondering why she and Estrella looked so foreign, so wrong, in comparison to Rebecca’s tanned skin, long, thick brown hair. And then she knew, and it changed nothing. It was a change in itself, but she loved Rebecca no less.

The moment Khione claimed the two girls as her daughters, monsters also became aware of their presence. The dynamic in the mansion had irreparably shifted. Anger, frustration, fear. Sunni used her newfound frost powers to mask their demigod scent as best as she could from the monsters, and their mother continued to love them as if they were her own flesh and blood. The masking took more concentration than anything she’d attempted before, but it grew her control even further as she used her powers so very often. For years after, Estrella begged Sunnieve to leave with her, explore the world, make a place for themselves away from their cheating absent father. Sunni only agreed when Estrella’s own powers began to develop and the scent of two demigods was too strong for them to stay at home unprotected. She didn’t want her sister to have to learn the control she did, as it was grueling, nor did she want Rebecca in more danger.

The two explored every corner of the United States for four years, using their father’s money to travel in comfort and their frost powers to mask their demigod scent. As he was so absent, it would’ve been a shock if he even noticed the missing money or daughters. It was the happiest time of Estrella’s life, and just another task to keep her family safe to Sunni. She felt as free as she assumed her sister did, but longed for the stability back home at the same time—and to be with Rebecca, who she was naturally closer to seeing as she was older.

On a stop somewhere in the midwest, Sunni heard talk of a safe haven for those like herself. They’d spent years traveling, and it had taken that long for her to hear anything of those like herself and Estrella. She dug for information as safely as she could, and finally figured out what she could do. Find Camp Half-Blood. She and Estrella were older than she had heard of the campers being, but that didn’t mean they’d be turned away, at least she hoped.

They made their way there, Estrella finding herself excited for the new adventure, Sunni excited for the possibility of settling down somewhere. And so, a year later, they have made a home for themselves in Camp Half-Blood.

Powers

Sunni has very strong frost and snow powers, and her control is that of an experienced warrior. Years of masking her scent and her sister Estrella’s from monsters brought her to a high control level on her powers, which in turn, strengthened them from the constant use. She can do many things with her frost, but because of the lack of need to use them at camp, her skills are likely slightly rusty after a year.

As he was so absent, it would’ve been a shock if he even noticed the missing money or daughters. It was the happiest time of Estrella's life. She felt so free and herself in a way she had never experienced at home. She belonged on the road, hiking across mountains and swimming in lakes. There was so much to see and do and experience out there, and she could never get enough.

At a rest stop somewhere in the Midwest during their fourth year of travel, Sunni let slip that she had heard tell of a camp for others like them. They called themselves demigods, halfbloods of both human and godly descent. And so, they made their way there, Estrella finding herself excited for the new adventure, Sunni excited for the possibility of finally settling down somewhere. The trip to New York was a piece of cake after all of the traveling they had done up to that point. Despite how much older Estrella and her sister were compared to the other new campers, they were welcomed with open arms at Camp Half-Blood.

Estrella and Sunnieve have now been at camp for a year, and Estrella is starting to feel the call of the world. They had been there long enough, and it was time for her to get out and do something, anything. Maybe she could find a quest or some sort of task to get out and stretch her legs.

IN DEPTH
Estrella is a free spirit to the nth degree, completely incapable of being tied down. After her years of freedom and travel, staying in one place for longer than a month makes her antsy and irritable. Even the daily excitement of Camp Half-Blood isn't enough to keep her sated. She's always jumping at the chance for a quest or task, anything to get her out of camp and into the wider world. One of these days, even camp activities won't be enough to keep her attention, and she will go out on her own to live or die by her own terms.

Leaving home at such a young age took Estrella from her studies arguably far too young. She has no head for math or writing or science, even beyond the learning struggles all demigods face. All of the knowledge stored in her head is related to survival and travel. Reading maps, following stars, knowing which plants are poisonous and how long it would take to die of dehydration in the desert heat.

All of her time facing down danger in the pursuit of adventure has made Estrella both very brave and very reckless. She would leap into danger at a moment's notice to save a friend, but she would also be the member of a party to trigger every booby trap.


Frost Powers ; the ability to create cold from her hands and breath, can comfortably be in subzero temperatures, can control her own body temperature, can freeze the scent particles around her, stopping monsters from being able to smell her

Appearance: Nyxia has long, fluffy black hair that falls below her waist, usually in a tight french braid, which shortens it so it seems to end just below her shoulders. She's a little taller than average at 5'6" and has a darker skin tone. Her eyes are light indigo. She wears dark clothing because she'd rather blend into the background. She has a couple of freckles across her nose, and her skin is naturally tanned and bronze. She wears a conch-like pendant that's made of blue sea glass that glows purple in the dark.

Personality: Nyxia is a very thoughtful girl, but is also pretty self-deprecating. She often is by herself to think, and though she forces herself to be social until a point, as soon as she doesn't want to be around people, she will make that known by promptly disappearing. She's a bit nervous and is often a lonely person and is often ignored, which is usually okay with her, she usually keeps her head down anyways. She's very loyal to those who gain trust from her, though it is very hard. She's very blunt and will always tell the truth, even if it's terrible. She is usually very calm and collected, but rarely, when she's angry, she loses all sense until she exhausts herself. She does not get angry easily. Her love language is quality time, which puts her instinct to be alone against her instinct to love and care about people. She loves simple things, and likes to give people she loves hand-made gifts to show them that they are worth her time and energy and are special enough to be thought about, which is all the things she fears she is not. She thinks she's not special enough to have a second glance, and so may do or say strange things as a way to prove that she does have personality traits other than quiet.

History: As far back as she can remember, Nyxia was at a foster home somewhere. She moved around a lot and taught herself to be very observant. She ran away from the foster home she had been at at the age of 13 and was on the run for three years until she accidentally set something on fire and was found out about by a satyr who had been trying to track her down for almost a year. She was brought to CHB, and now wanders, trying to figure out her place.

Abilities: When she snaps, she can generate fire from her fingers, but it goes out in a minute or two. She's very fire-resistant, but can still feel the pain of burning, even though it does not physically change her unless it's a big enough fire. She does not have any lightning powers, but she does have faint powers to understand the dead, so occasionally she hears voices of the dead. She attracts dogs sometimes, and when encountering monsters, they don't seem to really hate her and tend not to attack her if given the choice. The sunlight makes her feel very comfortable, and she tends to be seen just sitting on a sunny rock or patch of clearing in certain forests. Unfortunately, her father is also the god of misfortune, and so she is extremely unlucky and it's usually seen as clumsiness.

Appearance Description

Cress dresses the opposite of what you’d expect of someone with her disposition. Her goofy demeanor would imply silly clothing of some sort, but she’s actually very fashionable. She likes black jackets and comfortable but formal white tanks along with black jeans, and her long brown hair is usually down in light waves on her shoulders. She has bangs that are cut short enough not to interfere with her main accessory, a pair of sunglasses she wears literally no matter the weather or time of year.

Personality Description

Cress is exactly what you think of when you wonder who’s the most unserious, goofy person you know. She is twenty-five and although she’s clever and kind, she can’t take anything seriously. She’s always laughing and having a grand time, even and sometimes especially when the mood does not call for it. She cares about the campers deeply and aims to make life more enjoyable and bring more smiles to the doom and gloom that lurks around the camp sometimes. Cress is protective and very social, cherishing her found family over what sharing blood means to most people.

History

Cress Lyra’s backstory has shaped who she is entirely, as everyone’s does. Born to a happy, upbeat, and loving father, she takes after him greatly. She was told from a young age that her mother was Aphrodite, so she didn’t even have time to develop the idea most demigods have that magic and gods don’t exist. She knew they were real growing up.

Her father, Liren, was single for the duration of raising her, and aside from close friends, that’s the only family Cress had. She wasn’t told of any of her other family or lineage, and she was fine with that. Liren and she lived a happy life together, until tragedy struck. As it usually did with demigods.

A monster attack, more violent than most, struck her home in the middle of the night. The creature attempted killing her and almost got there, but Liren jumped in and fought it. As a human, he didn’t have the ability to survive the onslaught. The monster fled and Liren was left bleeding out. Cress was fifteen.

Sobbing on the floor, Cress begged him to stay. With his last breaths, he told her to find the emergency box under his bed in his room and to keep smiling. Don’t let this destroy her. And unlike some who may have fallen into depression, she kept her spark and joy. It was hard and she still has hard days, but she honors his memory by keeping his last wish close to her heart.

The box had contact details and emergency funds. Cress called the contact and it was a woman, Liren’s sister. The only family she ever knew of. She went to live with Eira, her aunt. This brought a whole new realm of issues, because although the woman was not inherently a bad person, she had conceited thoughts and selfish ideas for Cress. She was pretty, as a daughter of Aphrodite, and so Eira tried making her do pageants, modeling, anything that could bring fame.

Cress was kind throughout this, and did what she was told. Her only remaining family and having as much guilt over her father’s death as she did, she felt like she owed it to them.

At seventeen, she’d endured two years of parading around. She had a certain level of fame in her state, and it grew every day. But her joy was fading, which was the opposite of what Liren begged her to keep in her life. A satyr showed up one day, sensing her rising anger and power. Before she could emit a powerful indication of being a demigod to monsters all around, the satyr told her he could help her get to Camp Half-Blood. Her father already told her of its existence, but she didn’t think she’d need to go if she were with family.

Ultimately, she left a letter to her aunt and left. The strain of doing something she didn’t want to do was unbearable, and she made sure she told her aunt how much she appreciated her. She sends letters monthly, but no response ever comes. Eight years into being at Camp Half-Blood and she appreciates the normalcy, the companionship, the family she’s found.

Powers

Cress’ charisma and personality are her only powers to speak of. Most of her siblings have charmspeak, but she does not. Or, if she does, she doesn’t use it or have any need to. Her easy-going personality and sociable tendencies draw people to her effortlessly.

Appearance Description

Rhydian is the typical depiction of a tortured soul and brooding mind. He has dark, fluffy hair, sky blue eyes, and thick, expressive eyebrows. If he was expressive, that is. His eyes, light and majestic, hold cold ice-chipped fury and darkness, which depending on the beholder, can be attractive or terrifying.

Personality Description

Rhydian is a cold, hateful man. Outwardly, he is very unapproachable and doesn’t talk to anyone, so he’s not aggressive or harmful to others. Most of the time. The anger and pain is all internal, and his mind is a swirling mass of chaos and confusion. His life growing up wasn’t great and he had no guidance, so his sense of self is only derived from what he knows about the world around him. He’s not a bad person, as he has such a disinterest for every other person that he doesn’t really even interact. His internal struggles lead him to such uncertainty that he can’t socialize even if he had desire to.

History

Rhydian was born to Persephone, but immediately handed off to the mortal world. His father disappeared without a trace, so he was left growing up in the foster system. From an early age, he was aggressive, rude, and easily-angered. Many problems rose throughout his years and nobody was ever the parent figure he needed.

He calmed down when he hit his teen years, but even then he was still full of fury, of pain, of a detached hatred for everything and everyone in his life. Monsters were never an issue for him, either because his scent wasn’t as potent as other demigods or because his fury scared them off, who knows. At eighteen, he became a legal adult and immediately went off on his own, with no life plans.

A satyr did not find him, but instead, Camp Half-Blood itself found him. He traveled for months after his eighteenth birthday, and maybe from guilt, Persephone herself guided him to the camp. He resisted heavily at first, confused at the voice in his head, sure he’d gone insane. But with nothing else to do, he listened. Upon arriving, the voice left, and all was explained to him by the camp’s director.

He is now twenty-three and it’s been five years. He’s made no friends, but he is more at peace than ever in his life.

Powers

Rhydian doesn’t exactly have powers, unless you count otherworldly cold fury and intimidation. He exudes a sense of stay-the-hell-away that seems like it’d come from a goddess of the Underworld.

Appearance Description

Saffron has curly, thick blonde hair and pale white skin. His eyes are dark blue and blank, seemingly holding no thoughts. He can appear unsettling when he gets lost in his mind and stares off into nothingness, or looks tortured and mentally ill at times, but he’s truly just fine. It’s just an external appearance to the fog in his mind.

Personality Description

Saffron is stoic and . . . confused? What did that person say again? What was their name, anyways? He’s always lost in a daze, staring off into the air as if somewhere else entirely, eyes dead and blank. Think Jasper from Twilight. Saffron is actually incredibly kind and caring and gets embarrassed very easily, as sensitive as he is, but that’s only if he can focus on a conversation for more than ten seconds. He’s gentle and quiet and hardly ever speaks, but only because he’ll start talking about how to apply butter on a piece of toast using a chainsaw in the middle of a conversation about someone’s untimely death.

History

Saffron was born to Eos, goddess of the dawn and of the start of day. She, as a more obscure goddess compared to the main twelve and not as widely-known, was more involved in Saffron’s life than other gods and goddesses were in their children’s lives. She talked to him throughout his life in his mind, and as weird as it sounds, that’s normal to Saffron. She couldn’t physically be there with him in life for many reasons but they were always mentally connected.

Saffron was raised by the woman who wanted him. She was one of Eos’ followers and the goddess, cherishing her followers, gave her the one thing she wished for—a child. However Eos made it happen, Hexia, his mother, became pregnant. Saffron sees himself as having two mothers, as Eos is who gave him existence and Hexia brought him into the world. He was always odd growing up, lost in his thoughts and very airheaded, due to his goddess mother’s constant presence. The easily-distracted child could’ve and should’ve died many times due to his mistakes, but Hexia put in the hours and assured his safety.

When he was twelve, Eos told Hexia to bring him to Camp Half-Blood, as she cherished her child greatly. They both did, and Hexia agreed it was the safest plan. From then on, he resided there. He is well-known around camp as most have a protective feeling when it comes to him. He’s twenty-one and is smart and capable, but so incredibly airheaded that everyone worries for his safety and tries to take care of him.

Saffron and Hexia visit one another regularly and maintain their relationship, but Eos is always there with him, in his mind.

Appearance Description

Quintessa has shoulder-length, wavy hair. She puts the top half up most times in a messy bun, the hippie looks very obvious. She usually wears T-shirts and ripped jeans with loose cardigans and/or overalls. Her hair has light highlights, natural from spending so much time in the sun. Her eyes are pale, withered-leaf-green, soothing. They’re always sparkling with excitement and joy or dulled in her moments of drifting off in her mind.

Personality Description

Tessa is a free-spirited, warm person. She tends to be a social floater and therefore knows literally everyone, but unfortunately for people like her, that means she doesn’t have a designated friend group or people she’s specifically close to. It’s just mediocre relationships with everyone, and the feeling of not belonging specifically to one set of people can be isolating sometimes.

She keeps a positive outlook, though, and loves socializing. She can be a bit of an airhead, as she loves daydreaming and thinking about the future—but especially nature, which Camp Half-Blood is surrounded by. That causes her to drift into a blissful appreciation often.

History

Tessa was born to Athena, but has nor wants anything to do with her. She was raised by her father, an alcoholic man who has his own fits of aggression, perhaps why Athena was drawn to him. He took care of Tessa to the bare minimum, not harming or helping her through life. It was like they just lived together and never, ever spoke. His sister, though, came over almost every day and that’s what got Quintessa through her life. She was kind and fun and showed her the beauty of nature and life.

When she was sixteen years old, she decided to move in with her aunt. Her father, unchanging after those sixteen years, wished her well and they never spoke again. Tessa, even with the guidance of her aunt, had a lot of self-doubt and no confidence. But then a monster attack came, swift and not powerful, but it scared her all the same. She didn’t know of her mother or that world yet. She immediately knew how to defend herself and fight it off despite never fighting in her life. A satyr showed up, explained everything, and Tessa knew it was true. She didn’t go through hesitation or doubt, she just fully knew it was true.

Her aunt listened when she explained, although she was doubtful and almost considered Tessa’s admission to a mental institute. The satyr revealed herself and helped Tessa explain, and her aunt agreed to let her go to Camp Half-Blood.

Three years now, and Tessa is confident in her abilities, after training and finding stability and people who understood her.

Powers

Unnatural awareness for offense and defense, as a daughter of Athena, but her defense is fantastic. She’s swift and cunning, due to training but it came naturally even before then due to her blood.

Rowan grew up on the outskirts of a big city in Minnesota, Living in the suburbs of Minneapolis. He had grown used to being homeschooled for multiple years, but he was found by a Satyr that belonged with Camp Half Blood, taking him to a place that was much safer for his kind.
Rowan struggled throughout high school to make friends who really liked and understood him, or really weren't using him for his adorable service animal.
He came to camp half blood to find what a purpose in life feels like, and the closest he can get to a normal life.

Rosie lives up to the flower she was named after- beautiful, and a thorn in everyone’s side. It’s an overused cliche, I know. But Rosie isn’t a flower with thorns. She’s more like a thorn that was lucky enough to be born with a rosebud. She’s kind, when she wants to be, and helpful when she wants to be. But if she doesn’t like you, she will have no problem living up to the expectations her mother has set for her. Oftentimes, Hermes' children will have to tell her a prank is too much, which is something that has never left a kid of Hermes’s mouth ever. She has raging, unmedicated ADHD, so on top of her chaos-loving-gremlin mind, she also has very little impulse control (view spoiler)[disclaimer: not all people with ADHD have poor impulse control, this is just a way her ADHD affects her specifically (hide spoiler)], which has caused her to get stuck on kitchen duty many times. And she had no need or desire to go to camp halfblood for the first fourteen years of her life. Until the monsters came, and oh, they came, soon after she started hearing little voices in her head. Well. only one voice. Eris, goddess of chaos and strife, tired of seeing how boring her daughter had become, and decided to spice things up by haunting Rosie’s every waking moment. Her mind was tormented with thoughts of a knife in her fathers back, her hands around her brother's neck, and her stepmother banging on the doors of a mental hospital while Rosie stood outside with a smile on her face. He had a good education, good looks, and loyal friends who were always there for him, Which is why it was so confusing when he started to see these odd monsters when he was 15. It terrified him. It only got worse when he was 16, and his father took notice. Even though his father had trouble maintaining a stable job despite the money his wife brought in by the week he refused to just sit at home and do nothing. He quickly and sloppily told June everything on the day June came home a mess. June struggled immensely to act normal, to not freak out. He never made a scene, nor did anyone notice the pain it was. How when he was alone he would cry. It was terrifying. June's father dumped it all on him. Naturally, June thought his father was insane and turned to his mother. His mother too was confused, but she saw through June's pain. She believed her husband through and through and decided that if there was somewhere for her son to go and be safe, happy, and his usual bright self, she wouldn't dare get in the way of that. So that summer was when June got to camp half-blood. It's a rather calm, not obsessively terrifying story. He didn't have a traumatic experience - just that just after a month of being at camp he was told his mother had died in a head-on collision. This was the worst thing to tell a teen who was miles away from home.

Seth's birth mother passed away when he was 4. He was adopted into a caring family that had no idea whatsoever that their new child was a demigod. Or that he was going to develop supernatural abilities as he got older. Of course, they also did not know that he would be hunted by countless monsters; and would see a lot of scary, out-of-place, and odd things. He found out he was a demigod when he was 6 without really understanding that he was. It was only small things that he noticed; so he never thought about it much. Especially since he was so young, he was led to believe by his mother and father that it was all just a part of his imagination. However, when he was 8 things started to get worse. It got scary in the real world, odd things started happening, and he felt like he was always being watched. When he was taken to the doctor they found nothing wrong. At some point, his parents started to see him as 'weird' and moved on. Then, the bullying happened. Kids would also start to think he was weird. They would push and shove, pick on him for the smallest of things. He would go home crying daily. When he was 9 he was waiting outside of his school and a strange man approached him. Sensing a sort of danger he ran away. He didn't know why he was running or where he just took off. He hid in a park for hours.

He had never spoken, knew about, or met his godly parent. This was one of those rare encounters where he did. He met Hermes, in human form, in the park that night. There he sat, on the bench nearest the swings with a sort of smile on his lips. He was the one who guided him to Camp Half-Blood, to explain things to him. He didn't know how he had been so lucky. A lot of people don't meet their godly parents for so long. Much less have more than a few minutes - if not seconds - of conversation. Here he was for hours. When he was at Camp Half-Blood he learned quickly.

History: Kylo grew up with both of his parents. Because his mother, after having him, moved on from Ares. Both of his parents were very kind and hard-working. Kylo had a hard time in his studies and usually would skip his classes. He would get in trouble often and even be suspended for small things he didn't even do. He had a best friend named Alec. Kylo had a huge crush on him. Ever since they were 9, they met when they were 6. Alec passed away when they were 12. Kylo carried a huge burden; he only looked like he recovered quickly. When really he always felt lost. He always felt regret. He did do his best to stay stong since that's what Alec would have wanted. Even after all his suspensions, his mood swings, his parents always stayed loyal to him and told him it was alright. His mother knew everything about the whole demigod thing, and that she had dated a god. She would tell Kylo stories but only when he was 13 did she tell home the full truth. Kylo saw through the mist later than most. When he was 14. Only then did he believe the stories he was told. It was his mother who brought him to Camp Half-Blood. She didn't want him to get hurt like in the stories she heard, or to be hunted down. It was very difficult for him to leave her. However, he still visits her once in a while, like summertime.

Ganymede was born in Troy to Tros of Dardania and Callirrhoe, the daughter of a minor river god. Most people know of his sister, Cleopatra, but Ganymede too had a life worth mention. As a child, Ganymede worked as a shepherd, choosing to stay amongst the sheep rather than play with the other young boys in Troy. He was quiet and shy, allowing him to stay beyond the notice of the gods until he reached adulthood. When Ganymede was a teen, old enough to be trained as a warrior, he enlisted for the Trojan army, wanting to make his family proud. He flourished as a warrior, already strong from his years herding sheep.

As Ganymede aged and grew into a tall, athletic man, so too did his beauty grow. He turned heads just as much as Helen of Troy one day would, catching the eye of Zeus. When Ganymede was 25, Zeus flew down to him in the form of an eagle, offering him a position within his godly realm. Zeus had been in awe of his beauty, and wanted the man where he could be seen and loved by him, the King of the Gods. Initially, Ganymede refused, believing the bird to be a trickster pretending to be the almighty Zeus. He told the eagle that his duties as a soldier were too important, and he must remain to protect Troy.

Only a day later, Zeus returned in all of his godly splendor, offering Ganymede an official position as Zeus' personal cup bearer. In this position, Ganymede would reside among the gods on Mount Olympus, immortal and serving the King of the Gods for all eternity. This was a great honor, and Ganymede could not find it within himself to refuse.

The many centuries Ganymede spent as cup bearer were often dull, as there wasn't much to do as a man amongst gods. He made friends, had lovers, saw the rise and fall of many kingdoms. Eventually he grew tired of the monotony of his life and asked Zeus for a change. The god had grown to care for Ganymede and wanted him to be happy, so he granted his request, making him the Camp Director of Camp Half-Blood, where he has been for the last fifty years.

Ganymede is old and wise even though he looks not a day older than when he was made immortal. He is content to sit on the porch of the Big House and watch the demigods train. If anyone were to threaten the camp or any of the demigods residing within, Ganymede would be the first to take up arms to defend them. He sees all of the demigods as his grandchildren and he would defend them to his dying breath. In his time away from the mortal realm, Ganymede was able to train with the gods and hone his skills in sword fighting, although nobody would know it because of his deep modesty. The ways of the modern world are an enigma to him, and he has not set foot in the mortal world outside of camp since he was a young man.

Appearance: Hawk has long, black hair and light-grey eyes, but her skin tone is notably lighter. She's a bit short for her age, standing at 5' 1" on a good day. She likes to wear white and gold colors and can usually be seen wearing clothing as such. She sometimes keeps her hair in a braid, but usually it's in a really long ponytail or bun. When she's feeling a very powerful emotion, her eyes work a little bit like a mood ring, turning to many colors on mutiple occations to match her emotion.

Personality: ISFJ (Introverted Sensing Feeling Judging) When you meet her, the first thing you'll notice is that Hawk seems quite gentle, but the second thing you'll notice is that when telling someone something, she is extremely blunt and never holds back when telling the truth. The third and likely last thing you'll notice is that when she's lying about something, she'll become talkative to try to cover it up, whereas, she's usually very quiet. That is all that she lets through, and that's all that people will know, unless they've known her for years, and from which they only learn very little, like how she's pretty over-critical about herself or that she's got a rebellious streak that shows only in tiny passive-aggressive moments that are easily overlooked by most people, or that she is very dependant when someone lets her be for long enough or that she hates physical touch of any kind. Her most guarded attribute is the fact that she is an empath, and can easily understand and sympathize with others. She is very afraid of being vulnerable, and does not trust anyone readily, and so finds herself doing all sorts of things because she won't let other people do them for her. She really hates when others underestimate her, as she hates to feel lower or less than others just because she doesn't have as much to say or doesn't do what she's told 100% of the time.

History: Hawk was delivered to CHB around one year after her birth, with no explanation as to where she'd come from, except a small note with her name on it. She grew up learning from heroes, but never understood the point of any offensive training, and only honed her defensive skills, which over the next years, became very powerful. She only ever is defensive, even in normal daily life, and will always avoid conflict if given the choice. Eventually, she was given her swords, which she keeps sheathed at all times, but can be found training with in the middle of the night, in case she ever needs to block or pary an oncoming attack.

Abilities: Hawk has the power to create a bubble in which no harm can be done to anyone, and kind of seems to slow time, and anyone inside the bubble. She also has the ability to make others around her calm, and sometimes can force the truth from someone, though it exhausts her greatly.

History ~ Well, she's dead. Or, more correctly, she's an einheri. That's why she has no Godly parent and getting her fair share of monsters and other terrors anyway. So, now you might wonder how she ended up where she is. It went something like this:
Astrid was a quite child, never complained, never shouted, never tried over stupid stuff. When the other kids at the daycare would fight over who would get the red toy car she would sit quietly in a corner with her crayons and paper and color drawings of puppies, kittens, and rainbows. When she was a little older people started to notice she had a pretty strong sense of right and wrong, and everybody, including herself, thought she would be either a lawyer or a cop. Then in ninth grade when she was 15 she went to a confirmation camp two weeks over the summer break. There she made many new friends and then, at the end, when they had gotten home, it was time for the confirmation ceremony. Two days before school start she went to church and got confirmated. The whole ceremony was wonderful, Astrid even sang. But it was afterwards, at the celebration with family and friends, disaster struck. She was walking her best friend, Samuel, home and they heard a loud gunshot. They ran towards the sound to see if someone was hurt, and they were sadly right. A young boy, not so much older than themselves, was laying on the ground with an open wound in the thigh. Asti started treating for his wounds while Samuel went to break up the ongoing fight. Another gunshot was fired and Sam was now in the ground to, open wound in the shoulder. She ran over and out pressure on the wound, trying to reassure him that everything would be okay. In the background she could hear sirens and then, a third shot was fired, straight into her back. A valkyrie got her soul when she died, and the last thing she could see when leaving the scene was the paramedics helping Sam and the other guy.
When she got to Valhalla she became pretty good at fighting, especially with a staff/spear. She used her experience in dance to move with grace and rhythm. Asti also became quite good at martial arts.

Quinn is very self-conscious but generally calm, intuitive, and caring. She is shown to be hyper-aware of how people view her. She occasionally steals things ignore her own insecurities. She is shy about her appearance. She explicitly chooses to appear as plain-looking as she can. Though generally easy going and warm, she occasionally lets her worries take over which cause her to mentally isolate herself and believe she is without help and singular in her struggles.

Her mother was cold and cruel to her, working at her shop all day and leaving Quinn alone. When Quinn was eight, she packed her bags and left her home in Dallas, Texas, and taking a bus to Arkansas, making up at elaborate story that, with the help of her charmspeak, allowed her to fool any adults that asked her questions. She took another bus to New York an hour after her bus arrived in Arkansas. By this time she only had twenty dollars of her the money she’d stolen from her mother, so she went to a convenience store and bought some snack, enough to last a few days. She spent a month on the streets with the snacks as her only food, which she had to ration, before she ran into trouble with a monster. It was the day of her ninth birthday, and she was attacked by a cyclops on the street. Luckily, she was found by trio of demigods, one named Mei (9 years old), a daughter of Calliope, one of the muses, a son of Bellona, Carlos (8 years old), and a fourteen year old child named Nova, who wouldn’t share their parentage with anyone. The trio killed the cyclops and took her in as a part of their crew. They became a better family then any of them had ever had. She spent a few years on the streets with them, trying to get food in an honest way but sometimes stealing. Nova finally shared their parentage after two years, revealing themselves as a chid of Pluto after a run in with some Mania. The group got increasingly closer and closer, there was practically no secrets between them. One day, when she was thirteen, tragedy struck. Mei, who was almost fifteen, was killed by a chimera. The next to fall was twelve year old, Carlos, who was turned to stone, thanks to a run-in with Medusa. The only two left were Nova and Quinn, Quinn being a scared thirteen year old and Nova being eighteen, Quinn was relying on Nova. One day, in the streets of New York, they were attacked by a Empousa outside an Amazon store. An Amazon came out and met them, and after Nova and the Amazon talked a bit, Nova decided to join the hunters of Diana, and Quinn was offered to as well. Appearance Description

Sollian has medium-length dirty blonde hair, tanned skin, and toned muscles. His Apollo genetics are a factor but he also enjoys swimming, working out, and running. He helps around camp with a lot of heavy-lifting things and therefore has become a powerful guy. His eyes are seafoam green with flecks of gold.

Personality Description

Sollian is a well-rounded, goofy guy. He loves joking around and he’s incredibly down-to-earth and friendly, always seeking the company of others. He mostly runs the tattoo shop in camp, as he enjoys the company he finds there in those seeking tattoos as well as the many dryads who also love the area. His major downfall is his organizational skills, as they’re so very atrocious. Others suffer from his horrid organization when it comes to the shop and even his own space. History

Raised in a household of many children, Sollian’s mother was quite the player. She didn’t take care of her kids well at all—instead, that was left to the older siblings who did get her attention once upon a time. Sollian has six other siblings, and he’s the oldest. As such, he took care of them along with his other two older siblings, each one and two years apart from him. The other three were much younger, and he took pride and joy in caring for them.

This was his whole life, and surprisingly, he never encountered monsters. His light powers seemed to manifest very late, something suppressing his demigod powers and his scent. His other siblings were not demigods, just him. After Apollo left his mother and she was heartbroken, she started having random flings—hence the many children she didn’t even care for.

At eighteen, Sollian easily chose to stay home, deciding against college. He’d make sure his other siblings got the lives they deserve, not him, and he felt no pain over that. A sacrifice well-spent, in his eyes. He was a bubbly little guy from a young age and that’s never gone away. One day, a satyr found him, due to Apollo’s instruction. He was fortunate to bypass the customary attack before going to Camp Half-Blood.

He refused, not even because he didn’t believe the satyr—not after seeing its legs and having that kind of proof—but because of his siblings. He couldn’t leave them. Apollo knew this, as he’d watched over his son in the only ways he could as a major god. He promised Sollian a good life in camp and to relocate his siblings very close nearby so he could visit often, as well as sending two of his loyal maiden followers to take care of and raise the other kids. Sollian finally agreed, the allure of a camp for someone like him a strong draw.

He visits them weekly and takes them on outings, and he’s also formed a good relationship with the maidens. Their mother refused to go with them and didn’t care that they all left, never spoke to any of them anyways. At camp, though . . . he faced a new struggle. Love. His whole life had been chill to the extent it could be raising siblings as a kid himself, but the game of love was so much more.

Powers

Sollian radiates sunshine, but that’s not a power. He can summon small bits of light, like an orb in his palm, much better than his siblings. Unfortunately, though, he has very little healing powers, if any, really. His siblings have a lot of that while he merely got Apollo’s personality and allure, as well as literal light.

Sollian never had time for romance when raising his family single-handedly, as much as he longed for it, but then he met Nakiah. He fell madly in love, they dated, it was bliss. It was good, it was all he could ever ask for, and he was even going to take her to meet his siblings. He truly did want to spend the rest of his life with her, have new adventures.

The problems started when he began working at the tattoo shop, began leaving camp much more, began also working around camp. he had no time for her anymore, and being as new to romance as he was, he didn't see how it could hurt her so badly. she called him out, and something deep within him screamed his mother. she also got insecure so fast and blamed him for things a lot, and he knew deep down nakiah was nothing like her . . .

but still. they ended, him telling her he couldn't take the stress she demanded of him, even though she only asked for a healthy, interactive relationship.

Literally, he can be extremely clingy & caring as a friend.

History:

His mother, with no information in the system, left him behind hoping to give him the best chance at a normal life.
Although it was far from it.
For a few year's he was tossed around from place to place. Every now and then a good home, to a bad. To a healthy place, to unsafe.
It really played a part in who tristan became. Trust issues, short tempered, ect.
Until eventually the system placed him in a more stable home At 14.
But stable was the last word to describe this place.
Sure, they were promising and kind at first. Tristan felt okay enough to be content.
He'd been there for almost a year & they started talking about adoption papers.
But, as Tristan came home from school one day, there was yelling in the house. He rushed inside because, well, he wasnt used to them arguing.
He asked what what going on but they hadnt heard. Or did, but ignored him. He asked again but louder, and his foster father threw a plate at his head & told him to shut up. The foster mother didnt even flinch, they continued yelling in eachothers faces. Tristans forhead had a now open bleeding gash. He was stunned than anything.
"i'm bleeding...."
They were still yelling.
"IM BLEEDING!" He yelled.
Both the foster mother & father stopped. Turned.
"I- i'm bleeding.." He repeated. Tears filling his eyes. Not because it hurt, but the shock settled in by then. His Foster father, soon to be adoptive father, had just thrown a glass plate at his head.
He was bleeding. His dad scoffed and left the house, slamming the door behind him. Did he miss something? What the hell even happend?
His 'mother' stalked toward him with a heavy sigh and a napkin she pulled off the table. She pressed it to his head and told him to hold it there.
"Next time dont interrupt us when we're having a discussion."
.....what?
With, yet again, another strike of shock, Tristan gawped.
He was hell of confused now.
After that whole scene that just played out. Less than 5 minutes. His whole illusion of his chance of a happy home. Shattered.
"Do you understand me?" She asked.
Tristen was breathless. He could barely managed to move his tongue at that.
He only nodded.
She excused him to his bedroom.

After that, everything went down hill. Fell apart. Unraveled.
His 'mother' & 'father' were arguing every day he came home from school. If he was in line of sight, they would drag him into it somehow.
His mother started blaming the arguments on him. Saying things like how they never had issues before him.
He started to sneak out at night, to get away.
That helped for a while.
Until he got caught sneaking back in, and his foster father was waiting for him with a thick, heavy, rubber pipe. The rubber part of windsheild wipers for hauling trucks. Do you know what that feel's like? I do.
Its one of the worst feelings ever.
"20 slashes. Turn around."
Tristan didnt know how to react.
He broke down in tears, and obeyed.
I'll spare you the details of how that scene looked.

After that night, it was 20 slashes for everything.
He had to learn how to walk with correct posture in public. Any indication that he was in pain, that was 20 more slashes when he got home. The 'mother' began to watch, help count down.

He couldnt take it anymore.
He wasnt even sure how he was still alive. The fact that his body could still function was bizzare. But he was done.
So. Done.
He ran away on his 15th birthday.

He ran for hours. He passed all the way to the next city. Perhaps about a 5 hour distance.
He had finally stopped to breath. Although surprisingly not as out of breath as he ought to have been.
His heart was surely racing way faster than it should, faster than an olympic runner. And maybe now that he's free that could be his next step? Get bloody rich in the olympics? No, he's too young.
After catching his breath he went inside a corner store to find something to eat. Preferably something cheap, as he only had 50 dollar's he had to mae do with.
He ended up with a candy bar (kids, smh.) and ate it inside the store.
Which is when he heard the new's on the tv in the far left corner of the ceiling.
15 y/o boy. Missing. Amber alert. Run away. Call with information.
Oh no. He felt like he was about to have a pancik attack. Or maybe he really was, his heart never slowed down. He couldnt breath. Th cashier was looking at him and tristan turned to him. The cashier's eyes shot up from Tristan to the TV.
"If you call, I'll kill you." Tristans voice cracked. The cashier fumbled out a sentence Tristan didnt understand, and Tristan left.
He went outside, hoping to breath better, so he can think about what to do. It was dawn by now. He started to get a headache. Their looking for him. Why the fuck are they looking for him. Tristan didnt understand, if they believed he was the issue why they were after him.

& then saw helicopters. About 5 or 6 with bright ass lights flashing through the city.
Their looking for him. Tristen clenched his jaw. He swore on his life that he would rather die than go back to that shithole they call a home.
His heart was beating so fast now, that it stung like fire. Maybe a heart attack was following not so far after all.
One of the helicopters swiped a light toward his direction. Went over him, then back. Refocused on him.
A speaker. "Tristen? please stay where you are. We're going to help you get back home." Siren sounds from police car's werent that far from what he could hear. *Twitch. Snap.*
Tristan blacked out.

Tristans eyes began regained focus.
Black out? Asleep? Probably.
Someone was groaning. Sounded like a dying camel.
Once completely adjusted, tristans stomach instantly dropped. To the floor. Least' it felt that way. Ow.
All around the room were bodies. All in uniform. Not a room, a station. Bile felt like it was making way up Tristans throat.
Blood painted the entire area. Arm's and leg's detachd from their body. Holy fuck, there was a hanging man in the corner.
Copper potently stung his nostrils. What the actual fuck is happening right now.
He didnt move, breaths getting shorter. Something clasped his ankle from behind, which was enough to jumpstart Tristan out of his shock. A scream ripping through his throat but the rising vomit cut it off short, all over an office desk not far away. H yanked his ankle away and spun around. An officer. In an office chair. Still alive. The only one alive? Not for long though.

The officer took in heavy, slow breaths. "None of this.... is your fault kid..." His voice was hoarse, nd hard to mke out. Struggling with every word scraping against his throat.

Tristan sucked in a huge breath, the smell of his vomit tempting another round. "What? what the fuck are you talking about? Whats going on, what happend, how did this happen?" & how did I get here.

The officer stared at Tristan, eyelids getting heavier.
He was desperate for an end by now, but just as desperate for enough air to explain. He knew he didnt have that time.
The officer removed his hand from his stomach, revealing a gun wound and blood excessively pouring out, spreading through his uniform.
Oh shit, holy SHIT he's bleeding out.
God it was hard for Tristan to think, he felt tears pushing their way through and he felt like passing out. He was lightheaded, dizzy, and literally swaying on his feet.

"I called a....a friend...they'll be here to get you before the next town's station gets here..
You get in that car boy, & dont look back. None of this was your fault."

"What the fuck are you talking about.." Tristen began to hyperventilate. Everything Fuzzy, spinning, floating. Blacking out. Again.
& Everything was still.

A woman was hovering over him, & he yelped.

⇢⇢⇢Joshua is a typical kind of man. Flexing in the mirror, a swaggering, unearned confidence. He knows everyone, and for some reason, despite his arrogance and startling comments on the world that reminds you how many times he hit his head while surfing, everyone knows and likes him. He's tall, and nice, even if he can be unaware of his own flaws. But the thing is, he is aware of them- painfully so. Every conversation he's ever had is tattooed in his mind, every interaction a mistake that has him convinced everyone dislikes him. These thoughts keep him up at night, but he repeats the cycle every day, a toothy smile on his face as embarrassingly moronic words leave his mouth. I want to be taken far away, a discouraged thirteen-year-old wrote. Glass shattered, causing the boy to yelp, and a dogfish looking thing cackled, wobbling over to him. It seemed rather drunk, or maybe that hit through the glass caused some brain damage because the monster was stumbling and babbling that all Joshua had to do was push a little and it fell over. Glass shattered again, this time a different window, and it was a goat- no, a man-goat. Satyr. The word popped into Josh's head, and he said it allowed. "Satyr." But the creature was too busy wrestling the dog-monster for an aluminum can. He snatched it triumphantly and hopped on his hooves. "Aha!" he exclaimed. "I found a half-blood and my can. How you like me now?"
Joshua frowned, his voice steady even though his fight-or-flight was on high alert. "Half-blood?"
The satyr rolled his eyes and groaned. "I hate when they have the secretive parents. Take a seat kid."

⇢⇢⇢Josh's inferiority complex was earned, even if his confidence was. He grew up with a stepmother who hated him due to his father's infidelity, a Norse God for another father who he's seen a total of six times in his life, and an older brother who barely ever acknowledged him. The only way to not become a blubbering, friendless child was to fake confidence. In class, he gave wrong answers and laughed along proudly with the rest of the class. Every mistake he made became another joke- the one thing he could thank his godly father for was his quick wit. His suppressed feelings of neglect turned into poems written late at night, and the first one he ever wrote was how he found camp half blood.

Diana, being sworn to virginity, created them through her thoughts. One day, when she during a hunt, Diana was thinking about a child, a daughter to be specific. She shot an arrow that had mistakenly been enchanted, and upon contact with the animal changed into a small female child in a grey dress, around six years of age. Diana took in the child, of which was named Willow, as a huntress for a few months, though eventually found it best to take her in the mortal world, leaving her in an orphanage in New York. They spent a bit of time there, but no one wanted to adopt them. One day, when they were 10 years old (four years after their creation), they were attacked by another child at the orphanage, who was a monster in disguise. Personality: Waylen is very strong-willed, despite his childhood events. He made such a strong recovery that he often denies going through any trauma in general. Waylen's terrible, scattered, and inconvenient childhood started when he was nine years old. Before all went to hell he lived a mostly normal life with a decent mother and father. An average life, decent education, a nice house, food, water, clothes, and friends to hang out with. Waylen never knew what went on behind closed doors. One night his father came home drunk and angry, which was unheard of since he usually drank in private to prevent his son from being influenced. Waylen's mother had stayed up late waiting for her husband. She was worried. However, she was welcomed by an angry fist. That was where the first scream happened. This awoke Waylen. He snuck down the stairs, only to be met by the brutal scene of his mother's head streaming with blood. He was terrified. He ran up to his father trying to get him off of her, He screamed, kicked, and hit. All his father did was grunt and fling him to the side. Waylen's head hit the corner of the coffee table causing him to black out. The next morning he awoke in the hospital. The neighbors heard the commotion and called the police. His mother suffered multiple bone fractures and a minor concussion. Waylen too had a minor concussion and a sprained wrist. His father ran away from the scene the second he heard the police sirens and went into hiding. The next few months were paranoid. They went to stay at his grandma's house. Waylen changed schools. He was here from age 9 to age 12. He got bullied relentlessly at his new school. He got shoved around, and punched daily, he would be forced to throw up in front of everyone by one tormentor so much to the point where Waylen faced a lot of dehydration and often went to the hospital for emergency care. He never spoke up due to fear of the threats he was fed. But he had one friend, Ben. They were always together. He made him happy and they were often at each other's houses.

One night there was a break-in. That night he was at Ben's house to celebrate his (Waylen) 14th birthday, who lived just a few blocks away. Waylen came home the next day to blood everywhere, splashed on the walls, furniture, floor, and even ceiling. Both his grandmother and his mother were dead on the floor. Waylen was traumatized. He called the police again, and he was put into foster care, each family he went to was abusive or neglecting. Although he kept contact with Ben and it was the only thing keeping him sane. Then one night he was notified that Ben had committed s!uc!de due to bullying for being old friends with Waylen. This hit Waylen like a truck. He blamed himself so hard he would break down every night. Everything came falling, crushing the young teenager with guilt, fear, and other feelings he could barely describe. It hurt so much. His heart hurt like it was being ripped from his chest. He barely recovered from this pain when one family, in particular, reached out to adopt him and ended up being lycanthropes. He was 16 by this point. Shapeshifting monsters who had found out this child was a demi-god before even he knew. They fooled him, and after weeks of taking 'care' of him plotted to attack him in the dead of night. Waylen woke up to sharp claws and two monsters who were not his parents. He managed to get out of bed and throw his alarm clock at one. He ran to his door and hurried down the stairs, falling in the process and tripping down half of them. One of the lycanthropes managed to leap atop him and scarred his waist. Blood went everywhere, but he got out - not running fast due to the searing pain in his side. The sun came out just in time. Waylen was in such shock he didn't even process that he had just seen monsters. For the next few days, he was chased by countless monsters. He was scarred so badly that he passed out on the sidewalk.

Waylen woke up in a large, fancy, but comfortable bed. Two elderly people greeted him introducing themselves as Rose and Ken. They were demi-gods that had aged and moved to attempt to be normal. They said they had been sent a message in their dreams about him being in trouble. Rose, a daughter of Apollo, healed him as best she could. They got him to camp half-blood a week later when he was fit enough to walk. Although he had been talked to about everything he was in such solid shock and denial, that at camp, he took such a small amount of time to adapt. He pushed his trauma to the back of his mind. raiden is a very affectionate and understanding person, tending to have a lot more sympathy for others than some. because of the grief he feels from losing his brother, he is quite the loner, though an intelligent one. when he is with others, though, he tends to serve as the sarcastic, comedic jester nobody knows very well but he’s pleasant to be around most of the time. most of his humor comes from the intense anxiety levels he has, nervous speaking that somehow makes people laugh. when he does care for someone, his loyalty is steadfast and unwavering.

history: raiden sharma was born in a home full of genuine love. his mother met mohan just months after her ex boyfriend ( prometheus ) had left her with a newborn and a toddler. the two married when raiden was two years old, his older brother, amir, five. both brothers adored their step-father, and he arranged for an adoption to take place immediately. the sharma’s grew up just outside the city of london, in a small suburb town of hastings, england. both boys attended school, and raiden ended up joining the rugby team. everything was perfect- until it wasn’t. when raiden was fifteen, his older brother had a girlfriend. he’d just graduated highschool, and his girlfriend begged him to tag along to a bonfire party later that night. the fire had gotten out of control, something the police would find out to be malicious intent from two other fresh graduates. amir’s subconscious told him he could control it, assured him he could save others, but there wasn’t enough time. the forest caught fire quickly, his brother not making it out. when raiden found out, he fell into a deep depression. he wouldn’t leave his room. his friends invited him out, but he kept hidden away, playing video games. eventually, his mother came up for a talk. she explained that raiden’s real father was the god of fire and helper of humanity. he choked on a laugh when she’d said this. if his father was really the god of fire, how could amir have died? thev’d shared the same father. raiden developed anger towards the gods, his father in particular. however, this is when the monsters began showing up. at first, they appeared harmless. of course, until they attacked his family. his mother insisted he go to camp half blood, a place free of harm to protect their family. raiden couldn’t suffer anymore loss. that night, at sixteen years old, he packed his belongings and took the next plane overseas.

pretty. a word nakiah has heard nearly every single day since she first came to camp half-blood, pulling herself up the shore of long island sound and walking unsteadily towards the camp. she's pretty. but it was not always like that.

nakiah grew up in the middle of the atlantic ocean, surrounded by gorgeous if conceited nereids. they were an entangled family of chaos and jealousy, names with too many vowels and clothes with too many pearls. it was the only home she had ever known, but even as a young child nakiah knew she was not the same as her sisters. she did not have the sharp-tipped ears and their webbed fingers, nor did she have their seemingly glowing skin. in many ways, nakiah was plain. too plain too fit in. with her rounded ears, and the little spots that would spatter across her face in the sun ( freckles she was later told ). breathing underwater was a conscious thought not something that just happened. she was simply different and it bothered her to her very making.

as she grew older, nakiah's differences started to become more, and more apparent. while the other nereids of her age began to grow claws and their teeth sharpened to fangs, she only became softer. instead of becoming bony and devastatingly gorgeous, nakiah retained her baby fat, her hips seemed to fill out, not thin, and she started to face the teasing from the girls around her.

it wasn't meant to be spiteful, nakiah knew that. she was different, she was odd, they were just pointing that out and she likely would do the same if she had been in their position, but that didn't stop it from hurting. it didn't stop nakiah from throwing out her meal and saying she eaten. it didn't stop her from going to bed hungry, day after day and night after night. it didn't stop her from poking at her stomach and pinching at her waist. but no matter what she did, nakiah only felt like a stranger inside her own body.

it was not until she was fifteen years of age that she was finally sat down by older nereids who explained to her that nakiah was not one of them. her mother was a nereid, that was for certain ( although they refused to tell her which of the fifty daughters of nereus she was ) but her father, he was human.

to say she was shocked would be an understatement. she had been instilled from her childhood the very core belief that all humans were evil. possessed by greed. nymphs were tricky, yes, mischievous, sure, but they were never purposely cruel or malicious, not like humans. humans were greedy and vile and hurtful but nakiah wasn't any of those things right?

when nakiah was presented the choice to either stay at home, with the nereid, or move towards the human lands to find her other kind, the choice should have been easy. stay with the nereids, of course, that was her home, it was where she belonged and most of all, it was all she had ever known.

but that the decision wasn't as easy as she thought, and nakiah found herself hesitating at the choice. she knew she didn't belong, they knew she didn't belong there, and the prospect of a place where she could finally be at ease was enticing to say the least and in the end she gave in to hope. hope of a better place. hope of a place belonged.

the next month or so was spent traveling up to long island sound where she stayed with a group of naiads who showed nakiah around while she learned how to walk. it was silly really, but she had never walked before. since she lived in an ocean, there was new real use of it. of course, she had hovered above land at the bottom of the sea, but as she learned, gravity was very different above and below water.

once nakiah finally gained some control over her limb, she finally dragged herself up the beach, repressing a shiver at the cool air pricking at her drenched clothes, tripping and stumbling her way all the way up the hill to camp half blood.

if a place where she blended in was what nakiah was looking for, she didn't find it. she was claimed almost instantly by amphritite, but the intial shock and surprise of being the daughter of poseidon's nereid wife, the queen of oceans was nothing compared to the wariness of being noticed for her peculiarities. it took nakiah a while to become familiar with human customs, and still then she was uncomfortable with many of their habits ( for one, why did humans pee so much? ).

one of the most tiring habits that many of the demigods had, was gawking. it was an awkward action. they did not speak, they did not move, they simply stared and it reminded nakiah an awful lot of watching a teacher grade your work in front of you.

if wasn’t until a few fateful months later when nakiah heard a few people her age gossiping and pointing at her during lunch, being an awful bit louder than they thought they were, did she finally. they thought she pretty. it was a compliment yet it brought her no joy. ( if only she thought ruefully if only you knew ).

her entire life, nakiah had assumed herself to be less than beautiful, and she had craved the looks she received now, but after spending such little time with human-folk her own people, she had grown fond of the charm in a crooked grin and the endearing quality of unequal dimples and once again, nakiah fretted that she was too odd to belong if for the opposite reason. she fretted that she was too bony and too pointy. that her teeth were too sharp and her limbs were too long.

and the cycle repeats.

it wasn't until after a difficult break up that nakiah truly realized how insecure and selfish she was, and how much she had to work on herself. she didn't have many friends, but with the few people who were there to support her, nakiah finally learned to grow and flourish. of course, she is not perfect, she doubts she ever will be, and there are many times she finds herself reverting to her old habits, especially around a certain someone-so, but she tries, and that is all she can do.

despite ageing out of the normal year-round camp, nakiah decided to stay at chb. she could not enter the human world, there were some oddities that even the mist couldn't hide, and she found that she still loved the nereids, but they no longer felt like home, so instead she started working at the stables, and in her free time nakiah enjoys studying fashion and textile design ( often underwater ).

nakiah loved sollian. she really did. with every fibre pf her being she was practically entranced by him. by the way he laughed and made her laugh, by the way he smiled and made her smile. he was brilliant, so wondrous, so effortlessly human and gods above and below he took her breath away. nakiah had never known love before she had meant him. neither had she known heartbreak.

to say that nakiah fell in love at at first sight would be a lie, but it wasn't as if it took her much to time to find her smiling like an idiot at every little thing. he was just so perfectly imperfect and she could hardly understand how there wasn't a gaggle of girls following him around everywhere because did she mention he was brilliant?

when they started dating, nakiah was over the moon. she never, in a thousand years could have believed that a nereid like her could have a chance with a beautiful stunning breathtaking guy like him, and, well, let's just say it showed.

she didn't mean to project her flaws or fears, she didn't mean to accuse him of not wanting to spend time with her. they rarely saw each other, and when they did, nakiah was too busy whining and complaining to ever understand why he spent so much time at his job. nakiah loved sollian, but often times she couldn't help but wonder if he truly loved her back. why would he anyway? why would anyone? who could ever love her?

looking back years later and thinking about her younger self, nakiah finds it very difficult not to cringe in embarrassment. in the end she was right, who would love her if she was such a fragile insecure doll who couldn't handle the slightest difficulty? but still, what she regrets the most is messing up could have been a serious relationship, because for all she is bitter over their breakup, nakiah can't help that one part of herself that somehow seems to love sollian anyway.
