history : corentin grew up in france with his mother , step father , and step sister until the age of 16. Growing up , his older step sister, colette, was constantly better at everything . academics , extracurriculars , etc . both siblings shared the same friend group , and the friends would join in on collette’s bullying . because he couldn’t express himself ( corentin assumed he’d be mocked ) , he developed the joking shell , always laughing or joking about the cruel jokes . once he realized he needed to escape this environment , he decided to check out american boarding schools near new york . as a going away present , his mother gave him a ring . little did he know , it turned into a hammer . minutes away from arriving at his new school , the cab driver explained to him that they’d be taking a de-tour. History: when arriving to camp , nick was very anxious and nervous ( hence why he has his dog , nellie (an emotional support dog ) .. before that , however , it was just him , his mom , and his older brother living in england . up until the age of 13 , he lived a pretty normal life. went to school , joined the rugby team , made friends , etc . however , when he turned 13 , the monster attacks started. freak , unexplanable accidents would happen . such as , during a rugby match , the other team was a group of empusa . another instance , while taking the train , a myrmeke attacked , almost injuring nicks older brother . however , before nick was born , ares told his mother what to do if this happened. which is how he ended up at camp

History ~ Devin had an iffy homelife, having a rough relationship with his father. He desperately wanted approval and a relationship beyond an awkward conversation between work trips but he was never able to get that. When his father married his stepmother, he genuinely thought things could get better and they could become the family he always wanted. He was wrong, with his father taking more and more work trips, leaving him with a borderline abusive stepmother. Again he got his hopes up when Vespara was born, but after a year he finally came to terms with the finality of his situation. After a particularly bad night he packed his bags, as well as Vespara and set off on his own. After a year he finally met a Satyr who escorted him to camp.

from a young age, nero was always told he was the sweetest boy, always looking to help out wherever he could. nero’s thoughtful and courageous. he’s strong, mentally and physically, as his name suggests. he enjoys goofing off with friends, however, his emotions can fluctuate quickly, resulting in lash outs that he doesn’t intend to happen. Otherwise, he’s pretty patient.

around the age of 6, nero began assisting his father in his lighthouse business, making sure the light shown 24/7. all throughout his childhood, his father had warned him to not go swimming in the waters. dangerous, bad things would happen. of course, when he reached the age of ten, his silly young mind decided it would be fun to see what would REALLY happen. nero stepped into the shallow ends of the shore. nothing bad happened at first, until he stepped farther. realizing he was drifting out to sea, it was too late. Nero wasn’t the best swimmer, and he almost drowned. unconscious took over. a figure swam up to his floating body, pulling him across the sea to the island known as aeaea. once he had awoke, circe had taken him in and treated nero as her own ( of course, making him do laborious work in the process . ) only later did nero realize the person who saved him was his mother. However, his mind seems to have blocked out how he arrived at camp five years later.

History ~ Eva doesn’t remember anything from before the age of six or so, but doesn’t particularly care to. That’s when she was adopted by her adopted mother, Luciana Sola who raised her as if she was her own. It was always made clear what had happened to Eva. Luciana always told her she was cursed from birth because of her father messing with forces he didn’t understand. She knew the curse took away any godly powers she might possess, as well as eventually kill her (at the ripe old age of 21)
Eva used to struggle more with her own mortality, but developed a surprisingly good attitude about it, much to the surprise of Luciana. Ever since she was very young, she’s had a bucket list of everything she wants to do. She carries it around with her in one of those mini notebook things they sell at grocery stores. Some of the stuff is crossed off, but others not. The things on the list range from tiny things to big life events, she’ll put anything she wants to do on it.

navy grew up on the shores of north carolina in the outer banks with his mother , two older brothers, and his youngest sister. ever since he could swim, navy would spend ever minute of spring, summer, and fall on the beach. throughout his older years, however, he’d have experiences with… strange beings, such as serpents, ophiotaurus, and other creatures. one day though, when navy was thirteen, a mysterious old woman stole the boy as he was walking to the ocean. the woman dropped him off at camp half-blood, only to reveal that she was juno. navy is still uncertain why it was designed to happen like that. maybe his father decided that instead of him showing up, he would send his sister in law.
navy is usually an upbeat, caring person. or at least, he was. navy has severe trust and anxiety issues, but once he gets to know you, he’ll open up. he’s competitive and nosy, and makes jokes at inappropriate times.

she's irresponsible and troublesome is just the tip of the iceberg. There's the fact she's also imprudent, greedy, and disloyal, but fortunately, they're mixed with behaviors of being exciting as well. But focus on her as this is what she's almost feared. Any healthy relationship is made incredibly difficult because of this and her impatience, but that may just be the nature of the beast. she's brilliant and humorous. At the tender age of 13, a young girl was already struggling with the psychological trauma of abuse she endured at home. This left her feeling alone, helpless, and afraid. As a result, she developed insomnia and was unable to get a good night's rest. Desperate for a sense of comfort and safety, she was drawn to a local gang that promised her protection from her abuser. Although she was hesitant at first, she eventually joined the gang and felt a sense of security for the first time in a long time. The gang gave her a sense of belonging, and she was able to make friends and find people who cared about her. Although the gang was a dangerous environment, it also provided her with a sense of community and support that she never found elsewhere. Although she was still struggling with her insomnia, the gang was a safe haven for her and she was able to get through the tough times with the help of her newfound family.

History: She pretty much raised herself since her mom is always working. Her mom is a marine science professor at a college and is always grading papers. Her diet was mostly take-out, pizza, mac and cheese, and cereal. Marina never met her father, all she knows is that they met while her mother was on an ocean expedition while she was in college. Marina spends all her time hanging out with her best friend. She loves swimming and surfing. She wants to someday move to California and surf professionally. One day, her best friend August told her they were going to 6 Flags and practically kidnapped her.
Personality: Marina is incredibly upbeat and social. She depends very much on her best friend. She's independent as long as she has August. At a young age, Marina had to learn to fend for herself. Mira only met her mother once. Her childhood consisted of her father, an academic with a love for history and law, and an empty seat at the dinner table where a mother would sit. Despite the ache she felt every time she saw a little girl holding her mother's hand on the street, Mira considered her childhood to be pleasant and full of love. Mira's dad had a cushy job as a tenured professor, and he spent as much time with Mira as he could. Every Saturday of her childhood they would travel out together to a local secondhand bookstore, picking out a new book for the week, which they would both promptly finish while sitting in companionable silence later that evening. Reading was a love that the two of them shared, and their home reflected that. Books stacked every surface to the point that their home looked more like a library's storage closet than somewhere two people lived. This wasn't to say that Mira and her father were messy people. They kept their house neat and tidy, they just had more books than they knew what to do with, and they both liked it that way.
From an early age, adults in Mira's life knew that she was special. When arguments over crayons and the last chip broke out in school, Mira was always the first to play mediator, easily resolving the issue with her quick thinking. She was excellent at games, and even her father could not beat her at Monopoly. The ease in which Mira could strategize and negotiate led to her quiet popularity in school. People liked to talk to her and she was never treated poorly, but she was never going to be prom queen or the life of a party. She had big plans for her future; first she would graduate top of her class, with ease. Then she would move on to some elite university to study law and history, following in her father's footsteps. She had excelled academically so far, and she was confident that she had the skills to continue to do so. That's all she ever thought it was- traits she had inherited from her father. She was wrong.
At 13, Mira met her mother. Metis was ethereal, the portrait of righteousness and wisdom. She told Mira that she was special, descended from ancient deities that rule from afar. Of course, Mira didn't believe her. At least, not at first. Once Mira was made aware of her godly heritage, the Mist parted before her gaze, and she began to notice strange creatures around her. The Mist works both ways, and monsters were made aware of Mira's presence as well. And they made themselves known very quickly.
In the chaos that ensued, Mira ran from her home, not wanting to put her father in any danger. Metis had told her about a camp for demigods where she could be safe, so she made her way there. The next few years were hard. Camp Half Blood was a lovely place, but they were training warriors, not academics. Mira had no interest in combat, and actively avoided learning how to fight. This philosophy put Mira at odds with several of her fellow demigods, but Mira wouldn't be swayed. She was given many gifts from her mother, and bloodlust was not one of them.
To her dismay, Mira learned that her inherent skill in mediation and conflict resolution was tied with skills in battle strategy. As a form of compromise, Mira agreed to nurture that skill for the freedom to forego weapons training. At 20, Mira is known around camp as someone to talk to before leaving camp on a quest, as she always has advice on how to proceed with a dangerous mission.

History: Ember grew up camping pretty much every weekend with her mother and stepfather. She is super close with both of them, she wouldn't be able to survive without them. When she could, she took welding classes at the local fabricating place. Her mother is a firefighter, and her stepfather is an accountant. she is a daughter of hera. she came from hera's sketchbook, fully formed, her life beginning at the age of twelve. they are pretty laid back, preferring to stay out of drama unless absolutely necessary.
she was raised by an older woman named greta that took her off the streets, although she only lasted in her house for a year, due to the strength of her powers - it made her easy to track for the monsters. greta got her into strength training and drawing, both serving as outlets for when emerald's emotions got to be too much. emerald hates being contained in buildings and therefore can often be found outside, even if it's just on top of the roof of her cabin in the midst of the night, reading in the moonlight. she loves the smell of the earth, of the wind, of the forest. she hates to feel confined or trapped, so she moves often, needing to feel important and fluid with the earth.

kaida has always been a kind and caring person to those who deserve her favor. she would never leave someone in danger and she has always fought for what is right. but, most people either hate her, are scared of her, or want nothing to do with her.
because of the way she grew up, kaida is slow at social clues and lacks personal interaction. or at least positive interaction. people think of her as aloof, distant, cold-hearted. but in all realty, she's sweet, humble, and loyal.
she's been a fighter since day one, and while most people at camp half-blood can relate to her, they never take the time to understand her. she's one of the only people to be at camp as long as she has been there, and yet she's a ghost. most people don't know her.
with her lack of parents or parent figure, kaida had to raise herself. she taught herself how to read, write, and live. she now speaks up to five languages (english, ancient greek, italien, latin, and french), and she can read and write in even more. she's calculating, intelligent with an IQ of over 187; not that she'd brag about it or tell anyone.
when she's not sleeping or taking to the creatures of camp, kaida is training. she tries not to rely on her given powers too much, scared that her father will take them back, so she trains with the weapon(s) he gifted her on her seventh birthday. forged of adamantine (a strong blessed metal; a cross between imperial gold, silver, and diamond), kaida fights with a double ended spear or a long dagger, or a bow and arrows. it all depends on which charm she picks from her charm bracelet. so far, she has a crown, throne, lightning bolt, thunder cloud, a spear, and a whistle charm.
kaida's favorite things to do at camp while she's not busy, is to practice her guitar. or take a walk through the strawberry fields. she doesn't mind the company of the satyrs, nymphs, or any other friendly creature and she actually enjoys their presence.
only time will tell how kaida continues to grow. will she make friends? will she go on her first ever quest?
backstory.
lightning and hurtfulness is all kaida has ever known. from a young age, she had been doing whatever she could to survive. she's been alone since day one, her mother had been taken by hades to the underworld as punishment against zeus as he had fathered another demigod child. even if the big three treaty had ended years and years ago, the queen of the gods (hera) was always horrendously upset with zeus. she was his wife, so why was zeus looking for mortals while he had a perfectly good goddess on the throne beside him?so, hera took fate into her own hands and decided to convince hades to steal kaida's mother and lock her away in the underworld. she had hoped that was end of kaida's story, but she was terribly disappointed. and as for zeus, while he was a father to many, he was a dad to none. she doesn't even remember what her mother looks like, as she has no pictures of her.
the first couple of years were painfully lonely, as kaida was only a small child and had no other mortal family to run to for asylum. but, with the small, almost unnoticeable, guidance from three fates, she made her way to camp half-blood at the young age of three years old. those first three years of her life had shaped kaida into who she'd become.
at first, she didn't understand the abandonment. the hurt. or the bitterness. for a long time, she was just a forgotten kid in the hermes cabin. just another child waiting for someone, anyone to claim them.
then, kaida found out what it meant when you were mistreated. the night she turned ten years old, camp was just starting capture the flag and things quickly went down hill. while stumbling through the dark forest, while wearing armor way too big, while running from evil summoned monsters. kaida summoned her first current of undefined electricity. she was terrified at how unstoppable she was, tearing down mobs of monsters. until she WAS stoppable. she was quickly overpowered and overwhelmed and was reduced to a whimpering mess, only for some snarky athena kids to find her. they quickly outsmarted the rest of the monsters, turning them into golden dust. when they were finished, they glared at kaida's small body, as if she was the sole reason they had to get their swords dirty. kaida, ultimately, ended up on the losing team of capture the flag, and to make up for losing, her oh so amazing father finally decided to man up and claim her. in front of the whole camp. a small white lightning bolt had appeared over her head as the weather turned to a thunderstorm. chiron had announced her title with a booming 'all hail kaida valdis, daughter of the king of the gods, thunderbringer'. and with that, she became the biggest loser at camp. people feared her or they hated her father. she couldn't win, no matter how nice she was or how much she smiled. so, kaida gave up and began hiding in her cabin, only coming out for training or chores. she took her meals back to her cabin too.
kaida would do anything for camp half-blood, they were her only family. she'd take on entire armies, die a thousands times. she'd do anything. and yet, the camp half-blood campers wouldn't do the same for her.

mabel is an energetic, fun, bouncy, hyperactive, enthusiastic and free-spirited girl. she is an optimist who skips through life with a braces-filled smile and an assortment of extremely colorful knit sweaters. it is mabel's outgoing personality and fearless curiosity that comes in handy when dipper needs help solving a mystery, even if she isn't always aware of her silliness. she shows a more sophisticated attitude when it comes to art.
despite all the weirdness in gravity falls, mabel is always a "glass-half-full" kind of girl. she is rarely angry or upset, and generally keeps a positive outlook. despite her cheerful attitude, mabel can be quite sensitive, as she can occasionally get her feelings hurt. she avoids lying and is a terrible liar, often blurting out whatever it is about which she is trying to lie.
mabel is aware of her charm and cherishes her cuteness and beauty. she generally has a high opinion of herself, considering herself "irresistible" to boys, claiming that she does everything perfectly, and fully believing she is of "pure, perfect heart". she can also be rather clumsy.
she is prone to making mistakes, which she hates. these mistakes can unintentionally cause danger to her and her twin brother. mabel only ever has the best intentions and always tries to make the right choice when it comes to tricky options, most of the time she bases these choices off her happiness and others.
mabel is a preteen dreamer with a world filled with preteen novels (mostly about vampires), and her fixation on finding her one true love, occasionally lands her in sticky situations. she sometimes has her moments of self-centered behavior, most notably when it comes to boys with whom she's infatuated with.

mabel was born on august 31. according to her, her first word was "unicorn", (but she doesn't actually remember what it was). she claims to have shown a "natural gift" for art since she was two years old. she and dipper were raised non-religious, but celebrate all holidays at her insistence.
mabel's life started out normal, or as normal as it could be as a child of an ancient god. but that all changed when she can her twin brother, dipper, went to gravity falls one summer to live with their great uncle 'grunkle' stan. from there, the events of the supernatural started to appear. and while dipper took a more serious approach, mabel took a less serious approach.
before mabel and dipper got to gravity falls, she thought that this was the summer of some epic romance. how wrong she was. to start off her boy crazy obsession, she tries to date a couple of the local boys before agreeing to date a very mysterious character, who says he is a teenage boy named norman. she generally liked norman, him being the first real boy mabel had ever tried to be with. dipper had tried to warn mabel of norman, but she just thought he was being the protective brother. turned out, dipper was right and norman turned out to be a gnome trying to kill mabel. fun times really.
fast forward to later in the summer, her brother realized some things about himself. mabel would forever and always support him, but their great uncle didn't, so dipper ran away. this made mabel feel miserable, something she generally had never felt before. she was missing her twin brother, her other half. so, after a few years of distress, mabel packed her bags and said goodbye to gravity falls. she was determined to find her brother.
mabel finally found him, two years after he initially ran away. from there, the rest was history... until they made it to camp half-blood.

meira is unusually quiet and kind for an ares kid. she never speaks unless spoken too, and even then, her responses are quiet and well thought out. all because of her past and how traumatized she still is.
she isn't blood thirsty, which hasn't lost the irony because of how scared of blood is she. she's kind and caring, speaking in soft whispers. she's never yelled a day in her life or has felt any anger other than the day her mother died.
she doesn't blame ares, how could she? he did everything he possibly could to get them both out alive. she could never fault her father for trying. she does blame herself though and she probably always will. she blames herself for her mother's death, she always thinks that if she wasn't there and they weren't celebrating her birthday as a family, then the monsters would have never come to get her.
despite her guilt, meira really looks up to her mother and father's love story and wishes she could have a love story as epic as theirs. she reads so many romance novels, she as an entire bookshelf of them next to her bunk in her cabin. she gets a new book every year for her birthday from her father, each with a note in it.
meira has a photographic memory and remembers everything, even everything about everyone. which is a huge burden on her, because as she can remember everything, her mind gets too full and she has terrible migraines. she does little collecting little bits on information on people, such as their favorite food or color. and everytime a holiday or their birthday comes up, meira buys them a gift. sometimes it's small or sometimes it's big, but it's the thought that ultimately counts. everyone at camp half-blood has gotten at least one present from her, but she never signs her name. she signs it 'raven' as the nickname her mother used to call her, her mother's 'little raven'.
backstory.
meira grew up with a loving mother, she was an only child and her mother was an only parent. ares had loved meira's mother very much, and would have gone to the ends of the earth for her. but, unfortunately, kayla kerraelas was only mortal. granted kayla could see through the mist unlike most mortals, that didn't stop her downfall.
after meira's eighth birthday, ares came to visit her, trying to be careful not to alert the fates and the other gods of him visiting his daughter. because unlike how he was depicted in most stories, ares was a protector of women and one of the better gods. sure, he was the god of war, but he also had people he loved. ares wanted to claim his daughter in person and give her some early birthday presents. so, that's what he did. when he arrived, it was like meira knew who he was instantly. her mother had told stories of her father, but never had she met him.
everything was amazing, everything meira could ever dream of. that was before her world flipped upside and backwards. ares had just given her the presents he had custom made. a beautiful set of throwing stars and spear, one of which could glow with electricity. much like ares' last favorite daughter's spear. but as soon as meira's hands grabbed onto the weapons, everything happened so suddenly.
her house was set a blazed and ares was on high alert trying to get his lover and daughter out of the house. meira had never been so terrified in her life, as she never had a reason too ever be. ares had realized what was happening just as it had started. the fate's had found him, the other gods would know. ares had managed to get the two out of the house, mostly unharmed, but he didn't plan for the monsters to be outside waiting for them.
before ares could even blink, a dagger came out of no way and went straight through kayla kerraelas poor body. ares and meira didn't even have time to mourn before the other monsters tried to kill them. meira, even as young as she was, used her new weapons and killed as many monsters as she could while her father finished the rest off, her house in flames behind them. after all the monsters disappeared in gold dust, ares fell to his knees, tears building up in his eyes as he gripped onto his lover's dead body. this was never how he wanted it to go. that day ended with several things. meira's burned house and lack of possessions, a dead mother, a fear of knives and daggers, a sickening fear of blood, and finally, her father's oath to protect her. ares would not lost another kerrraelas on his watch.
with the help of a few gods he trusted the most, ares was able to get a bag together of some next clothes for meira as well as some magic pictures of ares and her mother. afterwards, ares personally brought her to camp half-blood and claimed her in front of the whole present camp. though, during all this, meira had yet to speak, almost to traumatized to say anything. ares kissed his daughter on the forehead as a goodbye and left her in the safest place he knew for demigods.
from then on, meira tries her best not to think of her mother, the mere thought of her makes her tear up. she doesn't speak unless spoken too and spends most of her days hanging out with the ares kids and aphrodite kids. every night for dinner, she makes sure to sacrifice a huge part of her dinner for her father, so that he knows she still loves him even though they don't see each other anymore.

(unlike ares and his children, or other counterparts, meira can turn off her odikinesis abilities can it doesn't really affect her as a person. odikinesis is the ability to manipulate feelings and emotions of war (such as hate, rage and fear. she hates this ability most of the time and tries not to use it unless she needs too.)

(when called upon by her father, she is gifted her father's own blessing. it looks like red fire around her and makes her temporarily invincible, usually only when she's in a fight because her father is very protective of her and know's that a lot of times, she can't fight on her own. of course, she can keep her own, but a little added protection has never hurt anyone.)

personality.
airen is a humongous flirt, it's like life is a complete game to him, or at least that's what most people think when it comes to his personality. he uses his charms as a front to protect himself from how hurt he really is.
if airen wasn't a son of aphrodite, he could almost pass for a son of apollo instead because of how dramatic and stubborn he can be. he wouldn't call himself cocky, but he definitely was not a very humble person, not that he was shallow either. he just wasn't one to lie or sugarcoat things unless he was trying to gain something.
he can be super sarcastic, usually more so when he's tired or hungry. and he is not afraid to take challenges, in fact they interest him. the bigger the challenge, the more interested he is.
airen is very charismatic and is seen as a leader more than a follower. if he could be, he would be the head of the aphrodite cabin. he takes every opportunity to flirt with people, not really caring whether they are a girl or a boy; and he's pretty clingy and affectionate. but, he would never want to make someone feel genuinely uncomfortable with his actions or around him in general.
in no way is airen a physical fighter, yeah he can keep his own like anyone else at camp, but he isn't very good and he'd rather fight with words and will power. he can be pretty persuasive when he needs to be, really without trying. not that he'd brag- actually he totally would brag about it. he's good at watching people, making observations. he knows when he needs to speak and when he doesn't. and that is almost as strong as a sword anyways.
backstory.
aphrodite noticed wyatt wylan because of his fame, he after all was a pretty famous actor and he even wrote some scripts for a numerous amount of films. then, aphrodite fell in love with him because of his personality. he was charming, brilliant and the biggest gentlemen she had ever met. ever couple of weeks, she met up with wyatt and they'd go on the most beautiful dates and they would see the most exotic places. everything was amazing, at least until little airen was born.
from the moment airen was born, aphrodite adored him. he was a pretty bubbly baby and almost never had bad moods. if he was upset, he would just laugh it off instead of whining or crying. he was her little boy. she had blessed him and vowed to protect him, at least the best that she could. airen would grow up to be her greatest champion.
the only downside to this story was that wyatt wylan had changed after aphrodite had airen. he was no longer the gentle, bright man she had known. he was cold and distant; he felt like airen was taking up all of aphrodite's attention.
so, when aphrodite finally had to return to olympus, she did it rather hesitantly, almost scared of what was to happen to her little baby. she had watched them from afar, deeply saddened by her ex-lover's attitude towards airen.
wyatt had never hit airen, he feared that he would be killed by the goddess of love herself, but he did talk down to the kid every chance he got and he refused to provide for him. this resulted in airen fending for himself most of the time, his father's servants and waiting staff weren't aloud to help him either.
airen figured out pretty young, at the age of five, that his father didn't love him. so, he's ran away multiple times, he had hoped to gain some attention and affection from his father just to be disappointed time and time again.
without ever realizing it, until he later on got to camp half-blood, he used his charm speak to get what he wanted or what he needed to survive. he started with food and clothes before working his way up to toys, stuffed animals, and other gifts.
when he turned thirteen, his father finally kicked him out of the house and he made his way to camp half-blood with the guidance of his mother.

(charmspeak is a type of hypnotism or persuasion in which it allows the speaker to convince someone else to do or get whatever they want. the strength of the command depends on the tone and the emotion of the charm speaker's voice, as well as their skill with it. eventually, charmspeak wears off and the person has no recollection of why they did or what they were commanded to do. this is hands down airen's strongest ability, though sometimes he doesn't know when he's using it. before he realized he was aphrodite's son, he would ask people to give him stuff and they would hand it over with no problem.)

(airen can sense and manipulate all the aspects of love, of himself, people, animals and other creatures, whether by increasing, decreasing, causing or otherwise channeling love, even manifesting the emotional energy to a physical level. love includes a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection ("i love my mother") to pleasure ("i loved that meal") to an emotion of a strong attraction and personal attachment. it can also include basic kindness, compassion, and affection. this is just ability airen can feel all the time, sometimes it gets to be too much.)

(sometimes airen, with a lot of energy, he is able to change his physical features, though it's usually only his face that he can change and sometimes his hair or similar features. one time, airen even shifted into a dove, but that's because of his mother's interference.)
