Well, the A to Z isn’t really meant to be a list of all the books you’ve read this year! Goodreads has bookshelves you can use for that :)
The covers probably use up more of the character limit than you’d expect. But this is a good enough solution.

LOL That's the thing - It's not all the books I'm reading this year... that list includes an additional 50-odd books right now and will be growing much faster than this list. I'm only including the MG books I read here. Although it's certainly a list much longer than the A-Z Challenge requires, my thought was that others could use my list as another reference for books to read for a particular letter.
And, yes, the book covers do use quite a few characters apiece (20-50, depending upon the title of the book), and I could have deleted those to regain some characters. But it's such a nice way to see the books that I just couldn't stand to delete them. Thus, this solution of splitting my list was born. :-D

I had a year when I needed to continue my reading onto a second post. Nothing wrong with that! People also tend to run out of room in they include a mini-synopsis for each title. Do what makes sense!

Reading in alphabetical order was ... interesting. For the first half of the year, I really enjoyed the challenge because choosing my next book was simple. But by the back half of the year, I was getting a little frustrated because none of the new releases I was excited to read "fit" where I was *supposed* to be reading. For 2023, I'm definitely going back to a reading free-for-all. : )
I'll be working on wrap-up & challenge posts today so we can kick off the New Year with new goals!

Steps:
1. Create a comment on this thread.
2. Copy, paste, and edit the alphabet set in the first post below.
3. Update your comment throughout the year, adding the books you finish during 2022.
Guidelines:
1. Titles need to match a letter of the alphabet. Use the "add book/author" button to create links to the books here on Goodreads.
2. Drop "A," "An," and "The" from titles. For example, The Book of Boy would be listed for B, and A Wish in the Dark would be listed for W.
3. Exception! Q, X, and Z are especially challenging letters to work with. You may choose a book that has a word in the title that starts with Q or Z. For example, How to Save a Queendom can count for Q, and The Secret Zoo will work for Z. And we'll accept a word beginning with EX for your X book, like The Explorer (by Katherine Rundell) or The Key to Extraordinary.
4. If your title begins with a number, convert it to a letter by spelling it out. For example, The 14 Fibs of Gregory K. would be listed for F, and 80 Days or Die would be listed for E.
5. It's okay to add multiple titles under each letter, but there's no extra credit.
6. Only list middle-grade titles. No picture books, YA, or adult books about kids.
7. You can add a rating and review link. For example ***** My review is here.
8. For an added challenge, see if you can read your books in alphabetical order.
9. Have fun!
