I finished The Four Winds and thought it was such a great story. I really enjoy Kristin Hannah's writing.

Jaylene Louw Medeiros | 1 comments I just finished ‘The Break’ audiobook, by Indigenous Canadian author Katherina Vermette. Good story! I had accidentally picked up the sequel “The Strangers” a couple months ago and enjoyed it, not knowing there was a prequel story (not entirely necessary to be read in order, but glad I’ve read both now). I gave 4 stars to both of those reads

I just started reading “The Vampire Armand”, as part of a book club read of the Vampire Chronicles.

I’ve also began the audiobook “The Plot”.

Mackenzie | 7 comments Right now, I am reading both "Circe" and "Heart of Darkness." Cirice has been really enjoyable! The word choice is stunning when describing even the most boring of things. Not only that, but her character is quite interesting and the way that she longs for love is something I find to be relatable. I think everyone has a point where they're jealous and long for someone they can't have (even if it may not be as serious as what Circe feels). As for "Heart of Darkness," I find the piece to be racist, difficult to read, and vulgar. It is simply not a piece that I would choose to read by myself. Of course, being an english major requires you to read stories that are old and where society is not like ours. I do not expect myself to enjoy this novel and, if I am being honest, I'd love to push through this as fast as possible in Brit Lit.
