I think Audible pulled a bunch of the audiobooks because they're re-recording everything for the 50th anniversary: https://www.terrypratchettbooks.com/d...
But I started collecting them a couple years ago... and the final dozen are available on Hoopla, when I get that far... 25+ still seems to be available on Audible...
Any I didn't get, I can always get in "alternative ways" we discussed before... ripped from old CDs...
I sorta want to do it, but I've already signed up for several lengthy series. If we plan to do this later in the year, I may be more interested. Timing is off for me. I'm also trying to get back out hiking and that should start up in a few weeks. I'm waiting for slightly warmer weather. Physically out of shape, iffy lungs and etc. I'm going to go back to national parks. Be best if I go with less chance of ice. Heh

Not sure how much time I'll have for Discworld in February, but for now I have the advantage of being 1 book ahead?... like I said, it's a vague 2022 plan for me, until others make it more concrete, I guess...
We can wait until a bit later in the year for Discworld, no problem:-) :-)

Also broke out my old speedup app, so I can listen to books at 2.5x speed that aren't stored on Hoopla/Audible... can only do that at home, tho, since it's a mega battery drain...

is on Audible Plus. Good military SF. It's part of a series, but you don't have to read the other books. Looks to be written by different authors and have different narrators. Action, humor, cool aliens and just enough descriptions to give you an idea of people/aliens/tech.

Choko, Da'in comes back later. =DNirkatze asked for Audible Plus audiobook book recommendations. That was the list I put together after I searched the Plus catalog to see what's on there. It's a bit of a dig to see what's included or not.
I have a window with a bunch of tabs open for me to see if I want to add them to my current reading pile or wait. XD

I read Agincourt in a day. It was a really easy story to take in! May be one of my favs by Cornwall.
Got it! I really should take advantage of the Audible Plus features... I haven't yet. I barely take advantage of the Kindle Plus... I just seem to be thinking the way I used to think about physical books and I have to get over that .. I like to know I own them, so I can get to them whenever I choose... But I realize this is much more an affection than a necessity...
We can put the books we like on the To Buy list. With Audible, I'm a mostly buy on sale now. I use the credits for favs or bundle packs.
Agincourt... Ch. 3... We as humans are so good at finding ways to hurt, mame, rape and kill each other, aren't we .. I am still so grateful to be born in this day and time in history... We have a long way to go, but we have come quite far nonetheless...

Agincourt, Ch 5. .. Sir John, despite being exactly what he is, is a great character! I am halfway in love with him:) G-d made the French too, but he realized it was a mistake and this is why he sent the English army to deal with them!!! Haha! So horribly bigoted, so totally wrong, but you can totally see Sir John and his contemporaries saying something like that...

Agincourt, up to Ch 10... Man, there is no mercy on either side, and now Henry V (view spoiler)I do love the author's knowledge of the life of the soldiers during those days... And his understanding of what drove regular folks and nobles to keep on fighting no matter what... I know he is meticulous with his history, so I expect nothing but realistic portrait of that time and I am not disappointed
So question for those whom have done rereads. How do I set a book that I've already read to reading again without it messing up my goodreads reading history?
Just set it to Currently Reading. It will automatically remember your previously entered reading dates.
Oh well that's much easier than I expected of goodreads lol.
You can edit the reading dates, add, delete, etc from your book review. If you leave the date blank, the book will be noted as read but without a reading start & finished dates.
Easiest way to mark a re-read is to post the book as Currently Reading and it will automatically generate the start date.
