Here's my review of The Echo Man, a rather blood-curdling suspense-thriller by Sam Holland.

Ashley Audrain's novel, The Push, caused a lot of stir and I wondered why. I knew there was a worn-out mother with young children, but I expected something more.
3★ My review of The Push
4.5 stars for this excellent historical fiction by an Aussie Author

Six Graves by Angela Marsons is definitely the best in the series so far! review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
A new favourite Aussie thriller for my bookshelf! If you need more than my enthusiasm, Lee Child called Michael Trant's latest novel, Wild Dogs "Tough, fast and hard – my kind of book." It is also a completely authentic, Aussie outback story. I'm with Lee on this one.
5★ My review of Wild Dogs
My review for
In Spite of All Terror by V.M. Knox - a brilliant read!

Here's my review of Arthur W. Upfield's 1929 mystery-thriller The Barrakee Mystery, an early example of quality Australian crime writing. A great read, but also troubling in its historically accurate depictions of treatment of and attitudes towards indigenous Australians.

See Them Die, by Michael Fowler, introduces forensic psychologist Dr. Hamlet Mottrell, who is lying in a hospital bed with bandaged wrists, accused of slaughtering his family. Not a bad start for a new psychological mystery series
3★ My review of See Them Die

I hadn't read any of Kerry Greenwood's Phryne Fisher short stories before so I enjoyed this collection (most of which have been published previously as A Question of Death).

What a genre-busting delight The Nancys is! NZ author R.W.R. McDonald's debut is a funny, amateur-sleuth mystery with bright, young Tippy Chan and her over-the-top gay uncle and his beau.
4★ My review of The Nancys
