My thoughts on The Wife Between Us
by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen.www.goodreads.com/review/show/2190452287
Apparently AA Tony Park divides his time between Australia and Africa (or at least he did), which is how he can set his fiction in southern Africa with such authority. The Delta was my introduction to Sonja Kurtz, female mercenary, and I'm pretty sure I will catch up with her again in the future.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Fish Out of Water is the third book by Aussie author Kate Hendrick that I have read, and it's three for three 5★ ratings. Thought-provoking, insightful and powerful.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
OMG If i could recommend 100 stars for a book, it would be for this one by Aussie Author Victoria Purman The Nurses' War
It is such a well researched, book, I absolutely loved it. Such a great history lesson, and wonderful story of love, heartache and sorrow.

I came across (and very much liked) British author Claire Sheehy's Detective Lizzie Marsh in the Everyday Kindness anthology, so I was really pleased to find this short story in the series, Shoplift, free on Amazon. An excellent taster of this protagonist and I hope we don't have to wait too long for more.5★s

The Night Shift by Alex Finlay is an enjoyable mystery involving the investigation of two multiple murders of young staff working the evening shift 15 years apart, each with one survivor.review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Love Grows Everywhere is a charmer of a small picture book by Barry Timms with some enormous ideas, wonderfully illustrated by Tisha Lee. Diversity and acceptance abound in glorious colour! I want to live there. 😊
5★ My review of Love Grows Everywhere with several of the illustrations
Jumping sharks and dropping mics by Gareth Carrol explains a lot of the idioms and phrases that have slipped into everyday English. Some I know and use, some not so much. Very entertaining.
4★ My review of Jumping Sharks, etc with several examples
My review of this month's challenge feature author Liane Moriarty's debut novel
Three Wishes. She was clearly such a good writer right from the start!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm loosely planning a few re-reads this year, and my first was Questions of Travel by AA Michelle de Kretser. A polarising award-winner, I'm firmly on the pro side of the divide!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
The Kalevala influenced Tolkien's Lord of the Rings, but the epic poem is seminal in this delightful story of Finnish migrants to WA. I recommend Emily Brugman's 'The Islands'.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
