Andrea | 2163 comments Apparently AA Tony Park divides his time between Australia and Africa (or at least he did), which is how he can set his fiction in southern Africa with such authority. The Delta was my introduction to Sonja Kurtz, female mercenary, and I'm pretty sure I will catch up with her again in the future.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9973 comments I came across (and very much liked) British author Claire Sheehy's Detective Lizzie Marsh in the Everyday Kindness anthology, so I was really pleased to find this short story in the series, Shoplift, free on Amazon. An excellent taster of this protagonist and I hope we don't have to wait too long for more.

Andrea | 2163 comments I'm loosely planning a few re-reads this year, and my first was Questions of Travel by AA Michelle de Kretser. A polarising award-winner, I'm firmly on the pro side of the divide!
