Good luck with reading GoT! I have two and a half of them, and when I bought the first one, I'd purchased it from a bookseller and sat and read it at a cafe for two hours without realising just how provocative it can be, and I had no idea that the show had such a reputation either. Fifteen year old me found the whole thing bizarre :D

Sorry to be silent for a few days. We've been on spring break with the kiddos and then we did our family gathering stuff earlier this week - particularly yesterday. I'll be looking at the mini, the team spreadsheets and what we need this afternoon. My family isn't doing anything big for Easter so I'll be reading and catching up on logging reads today and tomorrow.

Would it work as a retelling of Beauty and the Beast as well?
It's more like a light retelling with a hero who has emotional scarring who pushes everyone and every thing away and then coerces the former beauty queen into being his fake girlfriend and then blah blah blah.
I know IMM started this book with the intent of being a bit Beauty and the Beast retelling like. She purposefully commissioned the cover to play up the Disney version as well as purposefully titled it this way.
But if it is too far off for a true retelling I can find something else. I have to read this one for another challenge any way.
A few questions before I'm off to look for books - 1 - For people on the cover - do faces need to be shown? For instance I have started (but not yet finished) this book -
Could this count as "Man on the cover"? I would have the same question for this book -
I was also wondering if the title of this book would qualify for Musician
Finally for "Read a book with a food on the cover or mentioned in the text" do cocktails/drink names count? I have a book for another challenge titled "Wallbanger" after the cocktail. The cocktail glass does NOT appear on the cover.
It is part of "The Cocktail Collection" from this author though.
