I'm excited to start a new year of reading great books! So many of the books I want to read this year are ones I already own, so January's challenge will be pretty easy.Owned books:
Arabian Nights

The Eye of the World (reread) - FINISHED
Brothers of the Wind - FINISHED
The Once and Future King
Holes - FINISHED
Escaping Peril - FINISHED

I haven't finalized my January TBR yet, but I think I'm gonna try to mostly read out of my TBR jar in January! It's about 90% owned books and 10% KU books, and I put the KU books on a different colored paper, so I can avoid those easily for the challenge. 😂

The House in the Cerulean Sea, definitely one of my favourite books! Enjoy!
I’m excited for this month and jump starting my yearly reading!! I’m going to start with the books I had out to read in December. There are four of them, so let’s see how far I get!

Jumping a little late on the bandwagon because I desperately want to knock these off my list and did not get to them the last time we did an owned-books challenge /sobTBR:
◾️ The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern
◾️ Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee
◾️ Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
I will probably add more books to this list as the mood strikes me...I have a whole stack of books on my shelf that I need to read, but these are at the top!

It's time for the first of our new 2022 themes: JUMPSTART JANUARY!
Jumpstart January is all about kicking off the year with a simple prompt: read books you owned prior to January 1, 2022! Even if you hauled the book on Dec 31, 2021, it counts for this challenge as long as it's on your owned TBR.
(Review copies count! Re-reads, library books, and KU titles do not count for this round, but you can still list them separately in your post if you'd like!)
You can create a TBR and post it here, or you can just post progress updates as you work through your January reads. Every time you finish a book, you can post a new comment with an update (star rating, quick thoughts, or just that you've completed it), or you can go back and edit your original TBR comment!
If you have any questions, check our general FAQ topic and see if it's been answered already. If not, ask away!
Happy reading, friends, and happy new year!
