So my 2021 #RockMyTBR challenge didn't quite go according to plan, given that I've been in a reading slump this year and have found audiobooks much easier to get through than physical books. Still I'm going to try again this year and hopefully I'll get through more of these than last year's list.

Here's what I'm planning to read this year. Thankfully the voters on my Twitter polls seem to have naturally landed on a lot of shorter books which I think will be really helpful as I hopefully emerge from this slump I've been in! As in previous years, all the books are backlist (so nothing released in 2022, I do have some 2021 releases on here, though not actually that many!):January:
February:
March:
April:
May:
June:
July:
August:
September:
October:
November:
December:
The months aren't set in stone, I may move books around depending on my mood, but hopefully I will do better on next year's challenge than I did on this year's! I definitely think having a lot of shorter books will help. I will keep this thread updated with thoughts throughout the year as I did in 2020, and failed slightly at this year!
Ha ha thanks! It's not really their fault that I've been in a slump and only really wanted to listen to audio this year, but I admit I was relieved when I saw that most of their choices this year were much shorter books than last!
I get it! That's all I've been reading lately: just short books. I remember I voted in your polls last year and the options were all pretty close. I don't know what they looked like this year, but I'm glad they went your way. Lol.
It is the one drawback of mostly reading fantasy, like 90% of the books on my shelf are super chunky! Surprisingly not all that close this year, there was only one tied poll that took several tries to solve.
Good to hear about the shorter books for the upcoming year Jo. I agree so many fantasy books are chunky! Best of luck!
