Just completed #50 (second sister city - Tokyo) - At the End of the Matinee by Keiichiro Hirano, translated by Juliet Winters Carpenter. This is a very introspective book. A lot of the plot is reflected through the internal reactions and thoughts of the characters. I had difficulty getting interested in this book. It picked up a bit towards the end. I liked the discussions surrounding refugees and music, but it was a bit too quiet for my tastes. 3 stars

That's okay :) Your message is 494, but it's not the most important information when you update. The most important is the number of books read ^^

Just completed #4 (tiger in title) - The Tiger Came to the Mountains by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. Wonderful short story loosely based on her great-grandmother. “And some men end up on coins and bills after a war, but that doesn’t make them saints.” Definitely worth reading! 5 stars
42/50

I think the title is misleading because it isn't really about after life, it is about an alternate universe.

22. A book with a character on the ace spectrum

I think Johnny Appleseed qualifies. I did a bit of research and it seems he never showed any interest in a "partner" of any gender and instead was content to be alone and work on his orchards and missionary work

#28: A book set during a holiday : A Caribbean Mystery by Agatha Christie
originally, I had planned this one for taking place on a boat as a cruise ship was on the cover, however it takes place on an island. I'm using the term "holiday" to mean a vacation, which is how it is used in England.
