Because for the SH books need to be MPG PNR or Fantasy, a healer would work. But you would need to be able to prove it from the precis, tags or lists.

I couldn't think of anything "insta" besides love."
Perhaps in context. I can't just give a blanket answer for something like that.

I couldn't think of anything "insta" besides love."
Some people call Instagram, Insta so they may use it in that context.

I'm going with shadows. It doesn't look like his hair.

Some sort of darkness monster that wants to eat his brain???

Some sort of darkness monster that wants to eat his brain???..."
I think we will go with that! LOL!!!

Please remember that all tags/lists must qualify IN CONTEXT!! Links MUST be provided.
Don't make more work for yourself than necessary - if the qualifier is in the title or on the cover, use it! You don't have to go searching for tags to make it work. 😊 If the link you use for the book is the same you are using for the page count and edition - say so (see above edition or something similar)! That saves us all some steps. But please double check your links!
You may use separate editions of your Scavenger Hunt books to qualify for the different tasks. Links MUST be provided.
E is for East - Read a book set east of the Mississippi in the US or a book written by an author that lives east of the Mississippi in the US.
To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be set east of the Mississippi in the US. You can use the title, precis, book details, tags or lists to qualify the setting. If using a book written by an author that lives east of the Mississippi in the US, please include a link to the author's profile page or website that shows where they are living.
E is for Emerald - Read a book with a primarily green cover.
To qualify, the cover needs to be primarily green. Include the qualifying cover in your completion post. If using TinEye (I have a love/hate relationship with that site), it needs to be over 50% green and make sure you are including the background. If in doubt, please ask.
E is for ??? - ???
To be revealed when the date begins.
E is for Eyewitness - Read a book that is MPG Mystery or Suspense.
To qualify for this task, the selected books need to be MPG (Main Page Genre) Mystery or Suspense. This is in addition to the challenge required MPG Romance.

I am current on checking all the team threads right now. I don't see any requested corrections in my notes, so all is good there - though I hope to check again after dinner tonight. I will not be able to check any completions made tomorrow until Saturday and the deadline for corrections will be 24 hours from when I check your team thread like it was with Date 2.
I will also not be available for questions, especially cover questions, probably until after Date 5 begins. Sorry, but if I can't get to all of the PMs, I'm not going to answer any of them. Questions in this thread do have priority though as they can help everyone. Just trying to be fair.

There are 26 states East of the Mississippi River:
1: Alabama 2: Connecticut 3: Delaware 4: Florida 5: Georgia 6: Illinois 7: Indiana 8: Kentucky 9: Maine 10: Maryland 11: Massachusetts 12: Michigan 13: Mississippi 14: New Hampshire 15: New Jersey 16: New York 17: North Carolina 18: Ohio 19: Pennsylvania 20: Rhode Island 21: South Carolina 22: Tennessee 23: Vermont 24: Virginia 25: West Virginia 26: Wisconsin

Any of the states listed above will work!

Yep! I travel a lot, but have NEVER been West of the Mississippi... :(

Technically Alaska has some islands that are east of the Mississippi 😂😂. They are the farthest east point in the United States.

Me, an American, seeing my state in your list and thinking "I'm East of the Mississippi?"
I'm so used to looking at the states on the other side of the Mississippi that I didn't even think twice before looking for CA based stories.
I need sleep LOL

If an author doesn't note which specific state they are in, but they are listed in the RITA members for one of the eligible states would that still work as proof of where the author resides?

How does that work? Now I'm going to have to Google. I could see the keys. I know Key West is the southern most piece of the US states.
Do the Alaskan islands really stretch that far around the top of Canada and the pole to come back east of the river?! 😲

Yep! I travel a lot, but have NEVER been West of the Mississippi... :("
Ohhhh. I hope you get to some day! I live in and grew up in CT, but I've also lived in, FL, RI, MO and NC. I've been able to travel all over the US for my former job. A lot of my territory was originally in the Midwest from the Mississippi to the Rockies from Canada down to Mexico, but then it wound up extending all the way out to the West Coast proper.
I've been able to see Mount Rainer on a clear day, San Francisco with and without the fog settling in, Salt Lake City in both the summer and winter, and I've flown over the painted desert but haven't had the opportunity to see it from the ground. I've also flown over the Grand Canyon several times, but haven't seen it from the ground.
My "to do" list includes being able to get to the four corners, the Grand Canyon, the Painted Desert for a camping trip, Joshua Tree National Park, The Redwoods, Monetary CA, and Portland, OR.
I've been able to see most of the other places on my Wishlist from that side of the country through my business travels.
My European and Asia Wishlist is miles long though. Beginning with - taking my kiddos back to London so they can see where their mom went to Uni for a year, and then over to Rome to see where their dad studied for his year abroad in Uni.

I haven't actually researched it, but my guess is that the Aleutian Islands extend far enough west to cross the International Date Line, making them technically in the Eastern Hemisphere.

Do the Alaskan islands really stretch that fa..."
That's exactly what it is! This is from Wiki
The westernmost U.S. island in real terms, however, is Attu Island, west of which runs the International Date Line. While nearly all the archipelago is part of Alaska and is usually considered as being in the "Alaskan Bush", at the extreme western end, the small, geologically related Commander Islands belong to Russia.
And this will count as my learning of the day.

The list of states and map don't match. The list is right. The map is wrong the dark part needs to move one line farther east. Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana should all be dark.

You're right... let me go find a better map... *headdesk* ;p
There! Fixed it! I hope... LOL!!!

But for this challenge, Alaska - all of it, is west of the Mississippi. 😉😂

I have made it through the SH thread and there are some requested corrections. Just wanted to make sure you check that thread if you made a SH claim later Thursday or anytime on Friday.
I will get to the team threads as I can today as long as the football games are boring, otherwise it might run into tomorrow.

But for this challenge, Alaska - all of it, is west of the Mississippi. 😉😂"
OK, in my defense... East, West... they look a lot alike! *snort* LOL!!!

Sorry if it isn't being as nice to you all.

Sorry if it isn't being as nice to you all."
To me as well, I was so scared it would be green covers since I'm saving them for another challenge lol.

Yes, that would fall into the science part of STEM. 😊

Thanks Kat 🙂

Like Gustaf i didnt want a green cover! And I dont HAVE to trawl for location. So mystery suits me very well...

EX: Law Enforcement, Finance"
Yes, but you would need to be able to show it somehow. Ideally not in a combo tag, because those always get extra scrutiny. Also remember that the tags have to work in context - if the precis describes the detective MC and their work solving crimes, most of the other tags indicate LEO and there is one random 'computer' tag, that likely isn't going to fly.

No, sorry.

No, sorry."
No problem Kat 😊
