*Repost because this somehow ended up in the wrong place*

It’s time for another monthly reading wrap-up! I forgot to mention this last month, but I reached 40 books read during the year at the end of September which met the goal I set for this year. Yay! Now with the three I read this month I’m up to 43 and going for a stretch goal of 50. I didn’t read as much as I thought I could this month, so we’ll see how it goes. How are you doing on your goals?

This month I read…

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo- Loved, loved, loved this series wrap-up. The Grishaverse has been so fun to dive into and I’m so glad I kept with this series despite the first book not being the best. The way this series ends is just perfect too. I’m going to dive into King of Scars soon because continuing in this world sounds fun and because Nikolai Lantsov, enough said.

Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen- I read this book a long time ago back in it’s peak of popularity and loved it. I listened to the audiobook to revisit it out of curiosity after reading another of the author's books, Riding Lessons, which if you remember I did not like at all. I enjoyed this book still, but a reread showed me how the way this author does her characters just doesn’t click with me. Not that the characters in this novel were intolerable like the main character of Riding Lessons, but I could tell in my reread it was the plot and overall story that makes this book good, not the characters at all.

The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green- I’m a big John Green and Vlogbrothers fan, so it’s about time I got to this book after it sat on my shelf for a while. I really liked this book a lot. Each little essay or review was thought provoking, taught me something new, and connected things I would have never connected. They were very much so little Vlogbrothers videos in a lot of ways. It did take me a while to read as I needed time to digest each essay/review after reading. This is definitely a book I’ll revisit in small chunks in the future.

What did you read this month? Be sure to share down below!

Happy Reading!
