41 - A book with a reflected image on the cover or "mirror" in the title
There is The Mirror Visitor Quartet (La Passe-miroir), I have read all four books and they are really great.
Mirror Image by Sandra Brown (romantic suspense) used to be a favorite of mine. It was one of her first, I believe, so it should be easy to come by in a library or thrift store.
It might be a stretch but the Alma Classics editions of
and
are supposed to be reflections of the other. I think it can work in this context.
The Disney twisted tale for Mulan, Reflection has a mirror image on some of the covers. In that same thread, there is also Mirror, Mirror, which is a twisted tale about Snow White.
scrolling through my e-reader, Arctic Heat and Veritas: A Harvard Professor, a Con Man and the Gospel of Jesus's Wife both have reflections in water on the covers. I'm also wondering if I could stretch it and use The Order of the Pure Moon Reflected in Water, since the title is about reflections, if not overtly a mirror.
They Do It with Mirrors by Agatha Christie is another fun one (and one of only 2.5 that I figured out myself!)
The Echo Wife works for reflected cover:
A Mirror Mended is a book 2, but it would work for mirror in the title. (As a bonus, book 1, A Spindle Splintered, would work for a couple of different prompts: parallel worlds, or a book short enough to read in one sitting since it's a novella.)
When the Stars Go Dark has a mirror image on the cover. I think I'm going with A History of Wild Places.
i'll be going with
by Ashley Audrain. A bit of an abstract interpretation, but I think it works. another abstract pick would be
by Angeline Boulley.
I think I'm going to with the poetry collection Honey Month for this one!
Does anyone know a poetry collection that would work for this prompt?
Wolves and the Wolf Myth in American LiteratureI was going through my library collection and came across this one.
Possibilities:The Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey
Layla by Colleen Hoover
The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side by Agatha Christie
They Do It with Mirrors by Agatha Christie
A History of Wild Places by Shea Ernshaw
The Lying Game by Sara Shepard
Every Last Secret by A.R. Torre
Mirror Mirror by Cara Delevingne
I just finished
and it was a fun ride. Certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea, and the editing has some serious errors, but an enjoyably unique and weird take on the haunted house tale. Plus it's available on Kindle Unlimited so you can try it with no risk if you have a subscription.
I just discovered a new book that I'm contemplating. I love poetry and this one came up on a NY Times find:A Symmetry: Poems
I think it would fit because the words 'A Symmetry' can be read like a mirror.
I think I might use Searching for Sylvie Lee: a novel for this prompt. The cover is a reflection in water.

Reflection in the sunglasses on the cover."Kristin, I would count that- it's a reflected image.
I think I'm going to read
You can see their reflections in the glass behind them.
Or maybe
I decided to read Hex Hall for this prompt because it was honestly the first book I thought of. It's been on my TBR since 2014, god knows why I never finished, but I'm halfway through and it's been really fun so far.
The edition of Spook by Mary Roach that I recently completed has a reflection on the cover. Another edition uses mirrors for the Os in Spook, so technically “mirror” is in the title.
I haven't read this, but I ran across it while looking at a book list.
The premise looks kinda interesting.
I was looking at my audiobook wishlist and it turns out there are some editions of Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood, including the Audible version, that have a reflected image on the cover.

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds
This was an interesting and quick read - a YA book about revenge and the cycle of violence, written in verse. The entire book covers a one-minute elevator ride just after the protagonist's brother has been killed.
I usually avoid listening to poetry via audiobook, but I thought this audiobook -- read by the author -- was excellent.
I am planning to read “The Martian” by Andy Weir. I have the book with the movie adaptation on the cover and you can see reflected images in his helmet ☺️
I just read The Ruin which is the first book in a short series of 3. I loved it and the cover has a beautiful reflected image of the forest next to a lake! Highly recommend this author and the audiobook - narrator has a beautiful Irish brogue!

I just picked up a book with a reflection in sunglasses, and I'm thinking I will use it for this category. So I say YES!!

I recommend The City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin, book three of The Passage. It's a rather different book from the first and takes you some very strange places you don't expect to end up. But it's excellent!
I read The Julius House by Charlaine Harris for this one, book four in her Aurora Teagarden series. I was up all night finishing it.
