YA series. Little dark. Candy? Each cover is different color: red, purple, green.

So all I can remember is that it was in my elementary school library. It was a series and one cover of the series was red, one was purple, one was green. I remember it being a little dark and for some reason I’m remembering candy??? Please help it’s making me crazy.

The Blue Book of Stories is about fifth grade boys, and has a Red Book and a Green Book. It's a long shot but maybe it will help?
