I read Clap When You Land for this prompt. It is highly rated and I can see why. It is, I believe, the first book I've read written in verse which took me a while to get into the rhythm but once I did, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I just discovered The Five Wounds on Overdrive. It's being featured on "Together We Read" from Feb 7 - 21. It's the story of Amadeo, who lives with his mother Yolanda, and is joined by his pregnant teenaged daughter, Angel.
This would also work for topic #43: a book set in a small town or rural area.

And there's Tíve, Yolanda’s uncle and keeper of the family’s history-- you get A T and Y!

I had everything planned out but this seems to be the year that I'm slotting in random books as I read them. My original plan was A History of Wild Places, but I just finished The Grace Year (main character Tierney) and loved it! If I keep up my pace the rest of the year maybe I can get to my actual plans :-)
I chose Gormenghast (I finished Titus Groan before I started this challenge and... for all that he's the titular character, Titus is really not in it very much because he's a baby at the time.)
What are you reading for this prompt, and do you have any recommendations?I am reading Unforgivable Acts: A Legal Thriller by Laura Snider. The main character's name is Ashley. I also follow (and love) a series by G.K. Parks in which the main character is named Alexis Parker.
someone mentioned How High We Go in the Dark by Sequioa Nagamatsu which has all 3 (although the book doesn't really have main characters). The Y was hard- most books seem to have an A or a T but to find a book with a Y and also a T and A was hard!
If I had failed to find all three, I was going to read The Hidden Palace which at least has a A and Y.

I am reading The Sentence by Louise Erdrich. I love her books and the main character in this one is named Tookie.

You're going to love it! For next year's challenge, I'm going to nominate "A book that Tookie recommends" (the publisher has a list: http://harpercollins.com/audio/thesen...)

I recently finished Hope Valley by Haviva Ner-David about the unlikely friendship that develops between a Jewish-Israeli and a Palestinian-Israeli woman in the Galilean valley that separates them. Tikvah (which means hope in Hebrew) is one of the character's names.
by Amy Harmon
It wasn't my cup of tea, but if you're into Historical Romance, you should read it!
Some recommendations I have for you guys are:
Annie
The Shining
The Princess Diaries
The Diary of a Young Girl
I read The Lotus Palace by Jeannie Lin, where one of the leads is called Yue-Ying. Such a good book!
I keep missing this challenge! I'm mostly buried in university work but I'm going to make time for this. I have read some books this year so I'll start back filling from those :-)For this first task I think I will make my 'character' the House of York from the war of the roses :-)

Pamela, so am I! I loved The Sentence. She has a great back list that I now want to read too.
I had a lot of options for this, but after moving things around I chose these two (if I can finish two whole rounds):The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver, "Taylor" and her daughter "Turtle"
The People We Keep by Allison Larkin, "April"
I decided to go with a book that had the name in the title and read Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh Brothers.
I am reading Rock Paper Scissors by Alice Feeney which the couple names both starts with A there names are Amelia and Adam.
I read
Annie John by Jamaica Kincaid the story of a young girl growing up in Antigua and Barbuda. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Here is my review
