I finished One Last Stop last night, the main character is August. It was cute, but I think I liked her first book more.

I finished The Golden Couple by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen last night. A= Avery is one of the main characters
I read a A History of Wild Places for this Main character has a T name. A really enjoyable read and a great way to start 2022.
I have read Divisadero The book opens in a farm Anna Claire & Coop.. Each have a main part int he narrative
It is not a book i particularly enjoyed as the latter half meandered through the lives of other random character.
This type of prompt is one i find most difficult as i have no way of quickly searching for MCs. As luck would have it this book fits several challenges.
At the end of 2021 i read The Mystery of Mrs. Christie which is a fictionalised account of Agatha Christies disappearance I gave it 4 stars and would definitely recommend for this prompt
I'm working my way through Jacaranda's Twenty in 2020 books (twenty books by black authors released in 2020) and realised that The Street Hawker's Apprentice has a MC called Temilola. I haven't finished it yet but it's good so far and always refreshing to read books set in places other than the UK or US.

Read
. It's an autobiographical graphic novel, so the main character is the author/illustrator Adrian Tomine. It's a self-deprecating and amusing look at his life as a reader and writer of comics and graphic novels. I liked his style of illustration. I'm also using it for the rejected prompt 'Book with someone's back on the cover'.
I'm reading This Savage Song, one of the two main characters is called August. I've almost finished it and would definitely recommend it. Other books I'd recommend are The Wee Free Men (main character is Tiffany Aching), Bad Monkey (Andrew Yancy), The Universe Versus Alex Woods (Alex, obviously!), What If It's Us (two main characters, one called Arthur), The God of Animals (Alice), and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Abraham, also obviously!). I seem to have a thing for "A" characters :)
I’m working on Aru Shah and the End of Time by Roshani Chokshi now. I love Karin Slaughter and Pieces of Her works here. If anyone is looking for something nonfiction I read The Less People Know About Us: A Mystery of Betrayal, Family Secrets, and Stolen Identity by Axton Betz-Hamilton last year and it was pretty interesting.
I read The Skull Throne by Peter V. Brett. There are lots of main characters whose names start with A who all take lead roles in the story, including Amanvah, Avisa and Aisha.
I wound up reading (and would highly recommend) O Pioneers! by Willa Cather. The book's main character is called Alexandra. It's a fairly quick read, and Cather's descriptions of place are engaging.
Just finished The People We Keep! Feels good to check off the first prompt of the year. The main character's name is April.
I read The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes which I was saving for this prompt for a few months. The main character is called Avery Kylie Grambs and it turned out her name is actually crucial part of the story.
I really liked it, Emily!Stayed till like 3am because I was dying for answers for multiple riddles and mysteries of the plot. Read the sequel next day and my only regret is that now I have to wait more than half a year for the last book.
Yay! First book of the year done!
Astoria: John Jacob Astor and Thomas Jefferson's Lost Pacific Empire: A Story of Wealth, Ambition, and Survival
I will admit that *A*stor is not ~the~ main character of the story but he is an important character and he shows up throughout.

I read Ariadne by Jennifer Saint for this prompt. Ariadne and Theseus were qualifying main characters in this book. Anna is a main character in one of my favorite 2021 reads, Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr, as well as Yael and Aziza in The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman.
Jessica wrote: "Unlike this year (2021) I have actually fit in books off my bookshelf or Kindle into all but two prompts. For this one I will finally be getting around to reading Every Breath by Nicolas Sparks. One of the main characters is Tru Walls.
Not sure if this will in fact be my first book or not. I did not read in order this year but, with my books all being one's I already have, it may be easier to actually read the prompts in order. To me that is an added challenge."
Okay so, I had intended to read Every Breath but, it just so happens that I read Winter in Paradise by Elin HIlderbrand today and it fit this prompt since a main character is named Ayers. So, I decided that even though I had intended to use Winter in Paradise on #26 I can use the next book in the series instead, and then the third book for #27.
I actually feel good about this since I was trying to do the weeks in order as much as possible. Now I don't feel like after the first week I am already "failing."
I finished The Chicken Sisters It was a quick fun chick lit read about family relationships and a cooking reality tv show. The main character was named Amanda.
I finished How High We Go in the Dark (advanced reader's copy) and A, T, and Y names were all represented.
I read The Island of Sea Women by Lisa See. The main character's name is Young-sook.I loved this book. It's about the Haenyou (female divers) from Jeju, South Koren. The book gave wonderful descriptions of the diving activities. I actually watch YouTube videos of the divers.
I'm not reading in order, but my brain wants to check off the first few books... OCD thing:)
Linda, I loved that book so much!
Martha, I have been seeing that book pop up everywhere! How was it?

First prompt done! Read Bones to Ashes by Kathy Reichs. The main character is Dr. Temperance Brennan.

I didn't make a list for this one since it seemed so easy. Decided to read Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks which is about the Black Plague set in 1665. It was a good book but the ending went a little sideways. Not sure why it seemed to abrubtly go in a different direction right at the end.
I read Arthur: The dog who crossed the jungle to find a home for this prompt, one of the main characters being Arthur a dog. It is about Mikael the captain of a Swedish adventure racing team and when they during a competition in Ecuador gets the company by a stray dog. So it is a true story.
I read A Stranger in the House. The main characters were Tom and Karen. It was a pretty entertaining book.
I read If We Were Villains. It’s centered around seven Shakespeare students, one of whom is named Alexander. This book was completely engrossing.
I read The Girl from Widow Hills for this prompt; the protagonist's name is Arden. (Although she's going by a different name at the start of the book...) It was a fun, escapist-y thriller kind of read.
Youngblood Hawke - Herman Woukmain character is Arthur
also Arthur is the main character in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
For this one I read A Three Dog Life by Abigail Thomas. It is her memoir. So very touching and in a way therapeutic for me.
I had a very long list of possible books that fit this prompt, but I went with The Borrowers since the protagonist's name (Arrietty) contains all three letters: A, T, and Y.
I read Nicola Yoon's newest, Instructions for Dancing. The main character has the nickname Evie, which is short for Yvette.
What are you reading for this prompt?I read Cargo of Eagles by Margery Allingham
The main character in this series is Albert Campion

At the end the main character suddenly has a completely different character than he has had through the entire book. Everyone raves about it but the ending spoiled it for me.
I will be reading 'Tangerine' by Christine Mangan, with a main character called Alice. I can recommend Liverpool Angels by Lyn Andrews and Island of Secrets by Patricia Wilson.
Leah wrote: "A Clash of Kings has Ygritte, Arya Stark and Tyrion Lannister."
But I would have to read the whole series! Not

For this challenge, I read
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides. Two of the main characters fit the prompt the Psychotherapist Theo Faber and his patient Alicia Berenson.
The book was a good read but I was able to deduce the ending so wasn't able to get that thrill or an unexpected ending. 4 star rating.
Just finished this one that can go toward this too if you are into historical romance books Bringing Down the Duke the main protagonist name is Annabelle Archer .
