I nominate the Detective Max Rupert series by Allen Eskens. It has five books to date. It also has a crossover series, Joe Talbert that has one additional book. That would make a total of six.
I'll nominate the Melinda Leigh series, Scarlett Falls, folllowed by Morgan Dane, followed by Bree Taggert.
I nominate the Miss Fortune series by Jana Deleon starting with
Louisiana Longshot. YAY book #21 was published a week ago :-D
Anita wrote: "Suzanne Brockmann Trobleshooters Series 17 of the best books ever written. Troubleshooters Series"so true, Anita! I would love to do a re-read of these.
Anita wrote: "Suzanne Brockmann Trobleshooters Series 17 of the best books ever written. Troubleshooters Series"YES! I second this! It is a great series.
I'd do audio this time too. I rarely reread, but I had always planned to reread these books at some time.
I'll nominate the Rockton series (AKA: Casey Duncan) by Kelley Armstrong. There are currently six books in the series with a new book coming out early next year.https://www.goodreads.com/series/1648...
Jonetta wrote: "I’d reread Troubleshooters, too, this time on audio. It’s been a long time."I've listened to the audio - and will again. It's very good.
There are a lot of really good series recommended here...I see my pick already so won’t add any others to the mix!
Alrighty then, here's my nomination:D.I. Callanach series by Helen Fields
A seventh book is due out in 2022
Author describes her main characters in a recent tweet:
Luc Callanach- gorgeous but broken French detective
DCI Ava Turner- kickass but closed off
DS Lively- never knowingly not a smartass
Sup't Overbeck- awful but irresistible
Dr Connie Woolwine- profiler, blunt.
Quinn - sweet, kind, wronged.
Nominations are now closed and it’s time to vote for our next series! The poll closes on October 26.

I’ve a proposition for the group!
The winner of our next series group read is Troubleshooters by Suzanne Brockmann. The runners up are the three series by Melinda Leigh, Scarlet Falls/Morgan Dane/Bree Taggert. I propose we do both as I’ve read the first two of the Melinda Leigh series and have already developed the discussion questions for another group. I can set up separate discussions for the JDR group members.
I further propose that the third runner up, Fatal, be our next series when we finish these two.
Your thoughts?

I think that's a great idea, Jonetta! I've read 2 of the 3 already, but will likely do audio rereads for them...they're definitely good enough!
Sounds good to me! Great idea, Jonetta! Will we do the Troubleshooters and Melinda Leigh series concurrently?
Jonetta wrote: "Lisa, we were thinking of you."Oh, that is so kind of you. Thank you. Hopefully some others will join in and enjoy the series and discussions too. 😊
I've read both The Troubleshooters and Fatal series, and they are excellent, but I may not go back and read those again. I'm looking forward to the Melinda Leigh series.
I think I own the Fatal series but didn't read them all. I'm all in with this plan. Thanks, Jonetta and friends!
I love it. I started reading Troubleshooters series. I love it. I will enjoy discussing the books. I read the first two series by Melinda Leigh. The group will be the push I need to start Bree Taggert.
I started the Fatal series years ago. I so want to finish it but I get sidetracked.
Sharon, this will give you time to plan for Fatal. I love that series. Fortunately, I kept up with the character lists even though I didn’t do questions.
I read the first Bree Taggert book and loved it.
I read the first Bree Taggert book and loved it.
I'm in on the Troubleshooters Series. It will be a reread, but I look forward to it. I've read all the Melinda Leigh books as they were published and the series's are great, but I will pass on that one. I will look forward to the Fatal Series. I've only read the first book there and I can wait to continue the series with the group. I love the group discussions.

Nominations are now open to recommend a series. It should be from the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller genre or any one of its many sub genres. We will read one book a month and the series should have five or more books, including novellas.
We will continue our monthly group reads separately from this group series read. This may also be an opportunity to continue some of the series we started through the monthly group reads.
Please include the series and author names with your nomination. Links to the series are helpful but optional. Each member may recommend up to three series.
Nominations will close at midnight EST on October 15 and we will open the voting on October 16. Depending on the number of nominations, we may have more than one round of voting.
