Next month we will be up to date in our Romantic Suspense series group read. So, it's time to get started selecting our next series to read together.

Nominations are now open to recommend a series. It should be from the Mystery/Suspense/Thriller genre or any one of its many sub genres. We will read one book a month and the series should have five or more books, including novellas.

We will continue our monthly group reads separately from this group series read. This may also be an opportunity to continue some of the series we started through the monthly group reads.

Please include the series and author names with your nomination. Links to the series are helpful but optional. Each member may recommend up to three series.

Nominations will close at midnight EST on March 2 and we will open the voting on March 3. Depending on the number of nominations, we may have more than one round of voting.

Let the nominations begin!

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1129 comments I agree, a run off it definitely called for. There were a lot of titles and with no clear winner at this point.

message 45: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15054 comments Mod
Even though one series is leading at this point, there were quite a few to choose from with many garnering only one vote.

To answer your direct question, Cindy, the decision to have a second round depends on what the outcome looks like at the end of the first round. I’ve normally come back to the group to support or offer alternatives to my proposed next step. It’s immensely helpful that you weighed in early.

I also appreciate your comments, too, Jo Ann & Anita. It’s always helpful getting points of view early on.

I agree with having a second round, which looks like it’s either the top 4 or 7.

Cindy (BKind2Books) (bkind2books) | 189 comments Okay. I was just looking at the voting and wondered how this went. I remembered having at least 2 rounds the last time (maybe even 3 - it’s been a while)

I just think with so many 1 vote series we need to narrow it down and come to a better consensus. Especially if we’re talking another gonzo big series like this one that takes years to get through.

Here’s the link to the voting history for the Karen Rose series selection:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Cindy (BKind2Books) (bkind2books) | 189 comments Interesting. I think that maybe we should keep it to the top 4 (11 seems a wee bit largish, lol). It’s cool to look back at what we were voting on 2 years ago. Some of the same series are back, some are new.

message 49: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15054 comments Mod
It would be 7, not 11.

Cindy (BKind2Books) (bkind2books) | 189 comments My suggestion is top 5. All of those got at least 3 votes. Should 3 be the cut off? That was the cutoff in the previous voting ... although I still think 11 is too many.
