Right now, it would be the top 7. Im not sure why you keep referencing 11. See my comment in #49. Each poll presents separate circumstances and based on my past experience, I’d highly recommend 7 versus 5. Yes, it is subjective.

I was looking at the voting on the Karen Rose that you linked. The second round was 11. But those were also all books with at least 3 votes

Using that as criteria, we have 5 series with 3 votes. I was suggesting using 3 votes as a cutoff.

Thanks for your input. With 19 series in the first round, it’s not unreasonable to include those with 2 votes, which would make it eight. Based on my past experience with ALL polls of this type, that’s the direction we will take now.

As I stated before, each voting situation is unique. This is not a one-to-one comparison but I gave you that link in answer to your inquiry about what we did last time.

I'm personally thinking of making the first book of the Caitlin Strong series a voluntary Buddy Read and share the audiobooks with you guys. I think you guys are missing out on the best series I found since I started reading the In Death books.

Thanks for your thoughts and I appreciate your efforts. I’m not trying to give you a hard time.

With 19 nominations this time (and that was very similar to last time that this was done), we have a lot fewer voting. When I looked back, we had almost 70 people voting in each round before - and put through about half of the nominees. This time there are fewer people voting - about 30 so far - and the top 5 series represent almost 2/3rds of the votes. The more series added to the second round basically dilutes the voting. If you want to come to a group decision, it’s better to have fewer choices versus more.

I've owned the series for awhile, so I'm in.
