You just click the L to the left of the screen and it'll take you to a page with all the authors with L last names. Then just look for those with N first names.
I don't know if this is an option, but I saw a note on another goodreads discussion board. They were also reading books with authors that have their initials. Their take on it was that the initials could be in any form. Since my initials are SM, then I should be looking be looking for an author with the initials SM or MS.I thought it was a good idea for those of us having trouble finding someone or for those of us (like me) who are only finding authors that write genres we don't like to read.
I'm MS and I was considering either something by Mary Shelley or Philosophy in the Boudoir or, The Immoral Mentors by Marquis de Sade.If you want to do SM, I know Steve Martin has written some books, though I've never read any.
If you don't mind stretching it a little Alexander McCall Smith's "No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency" series is really fun.
I don't know what type of genres you like, but these are all separate genres so hopefully this will help.

Thanks Melody. I'm going to try Stephanie Meyer --- although I have read the Twilight series, she has a novella for it. If not, I might try Steve Martin or an MS author. Most of the SM authors are into the erotica/romance genres, which are not really my style.
