Definitely not a fav from this author. Too sweetsie and that's saying something considering one MC was basically an enslaved prostitute and the other his client. I didn't get emotionally involved with these two in the slightest and I have no idea why. The last section with Mitch's family was just way to perfect. Creepy!

Thought this was going to be Rocky and Cade's book but it featured Gray and his family. Which was ok with me. Cute kids and a story which is building to a good end. Now they have to find the wolf/vampire shifter who is causing havoc.

Review:
This was certainly a "family" affair, not just Rocky and Cade's story! As a matter of fact, this was more about loyalty, respect, compassion, and acceptance... which if you think about it, is what this world needs more of... just sayin'!

Gray has himself quite the unique pack growing here... a mage for a mate... a vampire/mage for a great grandfather-in-law... a mountain lion cub that needs a family and dare I say, one kick-ass Auntie Maggie? You go, girl!

I get the feeling that these books are going to continue in this frame as we watch everyone grow into who they are supposed to be and hopefully, they will be able to find the means in which to stop the vampire/wolf/mage? that is threatening their actual existence.

Curious to see how things are going to evolve for the pack and for Cormac and Liam in Soul Magic!

Review:
I'd put this book aside for a while for some reason (perhaps the title?), but once I started it I was hooked. I loved our two MCs. Their diverse personalities hid their common views on life and how great they were for each other. The age gap made sense. Their coupling made sense. (Note: the age gap was not a main focus of the story.)

Narrated by Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese. Such great narrators. Loved it.
