Gustaf | 1936 comments Conclusions:
For task 1 - A.E. Wasp got a mention by three of us out of four so maybe we should go for her?

For task 9 - PsyCop, THIRDS and Vino & Veritas got the most mentions. I would personally prefer Vino & Veritas but I'm also fine with PsyCop. Don't really want to read THIRDS. What about you guys?

For task 27 - 2017 it is!

For task 28 - Same as task 19

For task 29 - Cop it is!

Will come back for more of these after dinner.

DeeNeez | 694 comments Vino & Veritas Is a good choice… lots of books to pick from.
And I’m OK with Psycop if we go that route

message 53: by DeeNeez (last edited Sep 19, 2021 10:10AM) (new)

DeeNeez | 694 comments For task 29…can we change the term from cop to law enforcement? That would cover FBI as well…and other sci fi books as well.

message 54: by Wende (new)

Wende | 1741 comments DeeNeez wrote: "Hey, team… FYI. On same author/series books… I don’t really want to read anything by Mary Calmes or Amy Lane. I got burnout on them and now I shudder if I have to read one of their books.

I won't read Amy Lane unless I have to.

message 55: by Wende (new)

Wende | 1741 comments I am easy on the task. We used Gustaf birth year before as he was the youngest and more mm books written in his year. Not to many in 1962. I think we will find he is still the youngest this time as well. I think we all but him are born in the 60's.

message 56: by Diane (new)

Diane | 877 comments I have no Psycop books left to read and am not sure about THIRDS, so Vino & Veritas would be my preference.

Thrilled to read AE Wasp -- only read 2 of the Pros & Cons books so far.

I love that M/M Romance is a sub-genre -- I didn't put anything because I wasn't sure exactly what counted.

message 57: by Wende (new)

Wende | 1741 comments Not a fan of AE Wasp but I will read it. It is not that I hate the author. It is just not the style I like. I will of course read a book in the series. No problem for me

message 58: by Wende (new)

Wende | 1741 comments I only have to read four more Scavenger Hunt books for 2021. I am sad. I thought I would be happy but not. Although never playing to win it again!

With my MS I went for fun and not regretting it.

message 60: by Gustaf (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments I only have one more book left for SH. It's been a good year for me. I like my team. But of course, nothing can beat last year. The way our team just clicked was amazing.

message 61: by Gustaf (last edited Sep 19, 2021 03:12PM) (new)

Gustaf | 1936 comments I'm back for more decisions:

49: March 2021 sounds good

50: London, New York or Chicago - I'm fine with all of them, but New Work would let me read some Felice Stevens. What about you?

52. Black, Gray or Blue - Please not blue, I'm still scarred from UNO.

53. I think Toronto or Seattle might be the easiest? Sadly I haven't written a book set in Stockholm x)

54: Two people wants beach, two people wants mountain, I can be swayed for beach if Wende is ok with that.

55: Three for Australia

56: MM Books with a rating over 4.50 or Best MM Debut author 2015 Check them out and tell me what you think.

58: Dee joined in 2021, I think we should use that.

64: Oceania would be the easiest choice.

message 62: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 694 comments My votes…
50. New York works
52. Grey
53. Seattle
56. MM books with ratings over 4.5
😁😁

message 63: by DeeNeez (last edited Sep 19, 2021 03:45PM) (new)

DeeNeez | 694 comments As for mountain or beach… I can be swayed either way.
I just thought it would be faster to scan book covers for a beach😂
Only reason I picked it.

message 64: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 694 comments Wende! … Remind me to re-read the KJ Charles’ Magpie series if we get historical 😁

message 65: by Diane (new)

Diane | 877 comments Am fine with New York, Grey and Seattle. Love MM books rated over 4.5. No vested interest in beaches or mountains, toss a coin.

Is Oceania Australia/New Zealand??

We get our first task on Tuesday, correct?

message 66: by Diane (new)

Diane | 877 comments I am over 40% through my last Hunt book (always so SAD). Planning to have it done and out of the way before this one starts. I am so glad I went with For Fun this year -- even though our team is losing!

95: Wolf

96: Moon

Wende | 1741 comments Dee you sneaky lady! I never noticed that house.

message 86: by DeeNeez (new)

DeeNeez | 694 comments 😂😂 I was originally looking for a leaf…so I enlarged, then inspected each and every square/door when that jumped out at me.

I see clearly the leaves the house may not be enough but should be.

Gustaf | 1936 comments First Task - All Teams!

0. Each teammate reads a book initially published in a fall month, teams decide which month.

As a team select a fall month. Fall this year is from September 22 through December 21 - so you may select September, October, November or December, then everyone reads a book initially published in the selected month of any year. For this task, use the initial publication date. If there is a date listed at the top of the editions page - use it! Otherwise I will be looking for the earliest dated English language edition regardless of format for the qualification. Please include the selected month in your completion posts.
