Since it was May the Fourth last week, I started Star Wars: The High Republic: Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule, the first of the High Republic novels (set a couple hundred years before the events of the movies).
I recently finished The Lost Years. There seemed to be a difference in maturity level between the first half and the second. It was OK, started off strong, but don’t feel compelled to continue the series.Started The Legacy of Molly Southbourne.
Finished All the Seas of the World, which was deeply good, and started Poul Anderson's Three Hearts and Three Lions, which I've inexplicably never read before.
Finished The Legacy of Molly Southbourne and didn't love it, but at least it came to an end. I think. Now starting Witchmark.
Had one DNF, but here are the rest of the books I finished in MaySix of Crows ★★★★★
The Lost Years ★★★
The Legacy of Molly Southbourne ★★★
My May Reads:
The Wolf of Oren-Yaro **
The Collarbound *****
The Bitter Twins *****
Under Fortunate Stars ****
King of Ashes ****
I also read 2/3 of a really long book but that will now be posted in June…..

My main quibble was that her husband walked out on her and many years later she still ignored advisers (Queen, arranged marriage) and staring you in the face logic, to go back to him. Nearly dying and losing her kingdom umpteen times in the process. I just wanted her to learn! It was okay - not sure the narrator helped. I won’t read book 2.
Just finished Cyrion, the last of my current spate of Tanith Lee, and am starting The Worm Ouroboros by E.R. Eddison.

I loved King of Ashes and Queen of Storms was OK but the final book just annoyed me.
MI6 Spy Skills for Civilians: A former British agent reveals how to live like a spy - smarter, sneakier and ready for anything by Red Riley

This is a re-read and I'm enjoying it.
Beginning seems intriguing.
Enjoying the book so far.
Good, energetic start.
I like the premise so far.
I've read the other books in The Hat and loved them.
Haven't started yet, so no opinion on this one.

I didn’t like witchmark, everyone in a buddy read loved it!

Currently reading Mythago wood! https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2... . It’s been on my tbr for a few years now.
I read Mythago Wood many, many years ago -- I should revisit it at some point.Myself, I'm on to The Mezentian Gate, the third of E.R. Eddison's Zimiamvia trilogy. (Sadly, he died before completing it, but he'd written a good chunk of the beginning, the last couple of chapters, and some parts of the middle, and left a detailed enough outline that you can at least see where the story would have been going.)
Finished The Hod King yesterday. This one was slower. Wanted more of a balance between the POVs, but I still really enjoyed it. I've heard mixed things about the final book, which makes me nervous, but I'm still planning on getting around to it in the near future. In the meantime, I've started Gallant.
Late as usual! June’s books
