I tired it too. The art is great and the characters also took good, except for Tariq. I think it’s following the story properly, which is not exactly common. Maybe I’ll try more and see if I liked the webtoon the better ?

Ok, this nook is practically dead but I really really want to talk about this web novel I read recently. Unfortunately, it’s not listed here in goodreads, so instead I’m gonna pour out my thoughts here.

So, the web novel is named ‘love delusion’. In which, the main character is suspected to have erotomania.

“Erotomania (Erotomania) is a rare mental illness in which the patient falls into the delusion that another person (usually someone with a higher social status) is in love with him.”

So, basically the main character is a guy who have a HUGE inferiority complex. He also have several social anxiety. So he has a job of drawing at home, very rarely goes out, and the only relative he has is his aunt who really cares for him.
He has no friend except one guy who is also his usual client.

So, here’s the thing. He has a boyfriend, a very very famous and rich boyfriend who he lives with. There is just one problem - the main character is not sure if he exists or not.
Don’t misunderstand, the boyfriend is a real person and a very famous one. But our main character is not sure if he is in relationship with him or not.

So nobody knows of their relationship but him. He had almost never went out with his boyfriend. Also, his boyfriend works overtime a lot. Which means the main character is usually alone at home.

So, the main character also had a very traumatic childhood, and he had also went to a psychiatric hospital. The mc was also severely bullied by other kids which let him to isolate himself and have delusions of imaginary friends.

He still goes to a therapist to deal with his issues. He has also mentioned about his boyfriend (though he called him his ‘friend’) but due to his past, his aunt and therapist don’t believe him.

I know I have made the novel sound like a mystery and angsty book but it’s not. It’s in fact a hurt/comfort trope but in a form of book. This is actually almost a guilty pleasure read because it’s a lot cliche where nothing bad happens.Also, the love interest is just so sweet and understanding, it’s so heartwarming to read.

There are some serious moments but overall it’s fluffy and a book focused on healing

Oh yeah, this is a light novel. Which basically means it’s a Chinese web novel which is translated.

Some of the pictures were very good but a lot of them were just meh.

I can feel the poet’s emotions and feelings, so the poetry has done a good job.

I’m done with the book !

I liked it. I really wish I had more Greek mythology knowledge, though it’s fine.
I don’t know much about Aphrodite. But I do know that she’s portrayed as a jealous person ? Or is that someone else ?

Anyway, I loved the way how it alternated between Aphrodite and poet. It’s interesting how we get different lessons form both the perspectives. Also, them to talking each other, two different people with similar experiences. One a goddess and one an ordinary girl.

My favorite is the poet’s perspective, it felt way more relatable. Also, her fears and anxiety were portrayed so well.

My favorite passages -

A lot of these fears, a lot of these thoughts , a lot of these conversations…are unfortunately way too common .

Also, I found the title interesting. Like Aphrodite made her do what ? It could be many things, it could be writing that poetry book.
