Hi Everyone

I’ve been part of the group for a while but haven’t posted 🙈. I love reading, gardening, a bit of cartography and playing RPGs.

The most recent series I’ve read were The Broken Empire and The Riftwar Saga, polar opposites when considering the genre of fantasy - I really enjoy all things otherworldly, magic and made up creatures.

I’m currently reading book 4 in Malazan Book of the Fallen and book 2 of the Riyria Revelations. The 2 last series in my TBR pile then I’m onto reading with some groups 😁.

My absolute favourite book is a hard one, I would probably gravitate towards The Name of the Wind - but anything in the Stormlight Archive (or that grander cosmere gets me really excited).

Hi everyone! I'm u/ma-mo-ru or cocoabycandlelight 😊 I'm here because I have difficulties bonding with people irl and reading books with someone is a safe and contained way for me to bond.
I'd love to both read with this group and maybe do buddy reads with people who are interested in a 1-1 buddy reading. I tend to gravitate towards books that make me feel safe, like cosy SFF, or if heavier topics are discussed, I like it for them to be discussed in a mindful and kind way. Currently reading The goblin emperor and Rogue Princess (the first one being more my kind). I recently finished The graveyard book, The last cuentista and Elantris (which was a DNF simply because of timing, not due to lack of enjoyment).

Hi, my Reddit ID is MorganMeader and I was a big time reader a long time ago and trying to get back into reading a lot more. I mean, I read constantly but it’s been a while since I read a steady diet of fiction. As I write this I’m reading The Mote in God’s Eye(which I have read before)and Hell House(which is my first bonafide horror novel). Hi. I’m Amanda and recently rediscovered my love of reading as a coping mechanism in response to the election in November. Fantasy (even grim dark) sure beats the US these days. I originally joined to fill the hard BINGO square in the fantasy subreddit but stayed for the excitement of discovering new books and the ability to share that excitement with others.

Hi, I'm Sue, and I'm u/thisbikeisatardis.

I'm psyched to be working on my second year of bingo! I really enjoyed the light stretch of hunting down the right titles. The challenge made me cut back on my tv watching, which has been pretty great for my mental health since most popular shows lately are so dark: Although real talk I totally forgot about bingo until the end of January this year and scrambled to go through my read shelf to see how many squares I'd already filled. I had about half and then managed to fill out the whole card on hard mode with just a few weeks to spare. I'm going to try to do a whole queer card this year and hopefully also one that's all authors of the global majority, although some of these topics are a bit tricky! Might just have to do half and half. The last one in the series square is going to be hard to fill.

I've already read 71 books this year if I count some novelettes, and I'm really hoping to keep up the pace enough to pass 200, which is something I haven't done in a long time. I used to read a book a day as a kid.
