Kat | 567 comments There was a Latinx prompt this year for Read Harder and Reading Women. I got confused when I was first planning as it's not something I had ever heard of.

I always like to see which Popsugar prompts sound familiar.

That's a shame, I guess they do a lot on Facebook and that can be hard to keep up with. Hopefully they have kept past suggestions to choose from.

Raquel (Silver Valkyrie Reads) Finally got my votes in! I ended up with only two downvotes, one of them being Soylent Green. I have seen it, and would agree it's considered a classic in my circles, but I find the concept and really the whole movie repulsive, so I don't really *want* to find even a tangential connection to a book I want to read.

To my originally planned upvotes I added the minority group in a country that's not your own prompt and will probably read something like Myanmar Gold
or Shanghai Faithful: Betrayal and Forgiveness in a Chinese Christian Family if it gets in. I also added bird's eye view, not because I have any strong connection to it, but because I had a spare vote and it's the kind of unique prompt I'd like to see more of in general.

I don't think my suggestion will make it either. That's OK, just keep trying different ideas to see what clicks./i>

I will too, mostly because many of this week's are diversity based and I tend to read that way anyways (so I never vote for them as I don't feel they stretch or challenge me)
