Approached by some form of secret group. He gets injured/mugged, drops a case which I think had money in it. He ends up in hospital with amnesia. Think Mary Kelly saw the incident, stole his case, goes to hospital, pretends to be wife/fiance, befriends him.
He then finds out at some point as he finds key to cellar where the case is. Something about a train station show down, think she survives and goes to the states.
