We are going to do another theme for our July BOTM Group Read. With summer just around the corner, let's go for a "Beach Read". What is a beach read? First, it’s (obviously) a YA CLEAN book. Second, it typically takes place during the summer, but that’s not a requirement. It just has to have a summer feel. Finally, reading overall is a little bit lighter. It’s good writing, don’t get me wrong, but you aren’t going to have to sit there trying to decode everything for hours. You could read one of these books cover to cover in one afternoon at the pool.

Ooh! What a fun theme! I'm going to nominate Moment of Truth by Kasie West. It sounds like it's set in summer and is about a swimming team so it should be perfect!

Jocelyn (jsbookstuff) | 2 comments The Selection by Kiera Cass or Fable by Adrienne Young (Fable is amazing for a beach read because it has ships and oceans and islands and kinda pirates in it)

Mia | 133 comments I’ve been looking for a while at what to nominate and couldn’t think of anything - that being said I was looking again on sea themes and think I’ll nominate The Beholder by Anna Bright. I haven’t read it before so couldn’t tell you if it’s clean but from the research I’ve done, I’m pretty sure it is?
